Liberals are Hell Bent on erasing and rewriting history.
Want to know how to ruin your run for governor of Georgia before you even really get started? Here’s an idea, just attack their historical monuments!
Georgia is the south. No big deal. It’s not like they care about their history anyway. Right? Right?
Former Georgia House Minority Leader and candidate for governor of the state Stacey Abrams is calling for the Confederate carvings on Stone Mountain to be removed.
“In the wake of Charlottesville I think it’s incumbent upon us to take a stand and to speak very clearly and very honestly about the fact that symbols matter,” Abrams told CBS46 News.
Abrams tweeted that the carvings are a “blight on our state and should be removed.” She also tweeted that “Confederate monuments belong in museums where we can study and reflect on that terrible history, not in places of honor across our state.”
The Confederate Memorial Carving has images of Confederacy President Jefferson Davis and Generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson and were not complete until a dedication ceremony on May 9, 1970. Finishing touches were completed in 1972.
She said that she wants them taken down because they were allegedly “paid for by the founders of the second wave of the Ku Klux Klan” and that they serve “no purpose other than celebration of racism, terror and division when carved.”
A petition attempting to get rid of the carving is gaining ground. CBS46 spoke with representatives of Stone Mountain Park. They say the state legislature must approve the removal.
Good luck, sweetheart! You’ll have much more of a problem here than they did in Charlottesville.

Stacey Abrams sure likes to talk, eh? Personally, I don’t think of slavery when I look at the wall – I see a magnificent work of art that it would be a sacrilege to destroy.
