This guy is lucky to still be alive.

What happens when a man opens fire in a pawn shop? Let’s just say he’s an idiot for not considering they would also have guns. It is a pawn shop, after all.

The armed employees opened fire right back with a fight that the man was not prepared for. So what did he do? Tucked tail and ran like a scared little puppy!

Postandcourier.com reports

Gregory Franklin Westfall, 36, faces four felony counts in connection with Tuesday’s incident at Big Bucks Pawn, 113 College Park Road, according to affidavits.

“The defendant planned this action out with the intent of causing social change,” the affidavits said.

In all, Westfall was charged with two counts of attempted murder, and one count each of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and armed robbery, said Chief Deputy Mike Cochran, a Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office spokesman. His last known address was West Landmark Street in Boise, Idaho.

Westfall reportedly walked in and requested to see a specific gun, one that would fit the loaded clip he had hidden on himself. Upon receiving the gun, he loaded it and began shooting.

Concealed Nation reports:

At least one employee returned fire, and the police were called. When they arrived, they found Westfall nearby in the woods. He was taken into custody without any further incident, and was said to be wearing some sort of armor and he was making “several statements regarding 9/11 and that ‘the Russians’ were sending him messages.”

Westfall has been denied bail, as he should be. The guy obviously has some serious mental issues and should not be allowed back out in the public. He needs to be in a mental ward, not the streets.
