Less than a day after Garrison Keillor — a now-former radio personality for Minnesota Public Radio — wrote an op-ed in The Washington Post defending Sen. Al Franken (D-MN), saying he should not resign, he has been let go from the radio station.

The Associated Press reports Keillor was fired over allegations of inappropriate behavior:

In a statement, Minnesota Public Radio said they were made aware of the allegations last month:

MPR President Jon McTaggartimmediately informed the MPR Board Chair, and a special Board committee was appointed to provide oversight and ongoing counsel. In addition, MPR retained an outside law firm to conduct an independent investigation of the allegations. Based on what we currently know, there are no similar allegations involving other staff.
