America’s most candid sheriff is calling out the race hustlers who’ve pounced on the corpses of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, in an effort to racially divide America and elevate their own political profiles.

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke told Fox News host Neil Cavuto that the conversation on race that America should be engaged in, revolves around why a small percentage of young black males commit a disproportionately large amount of crimes.

It’s the kind of thing “that plays itself out in American cities darn near everyday of the year,” Clarke said. “The inconvenient truth here is that too often, disparately as a matter of fact, the perpetrators are young black males. That’s the discussion we should be having in this country, instead of papering over” the issue “with things like targeting the police–which the president of the United State, Eric Holder, Al Sharpton, and their cabal are doing so that they don’t really have to deal with the real issue in the country as it relates to crime and it’s the disproportionate involvement of young black males.”

Clarke claims that those bashing the police and screaming racism don’t want to face the facts and address the role that black people play in terms of committing crimes that place them in the presence of the police for all the wrong reasons.

Race baiters, Clarke says, would rather push “false narratives about ‘hands up don’t shoot’ and ‘black lives matter’ because that’s easier to peddle.”

If black lives really matter, Clarke continued, “we have to talk about the violence and who the perpetrators are. It’s very inconvenient for a lot of people” that a large amount of the crimes committed in America “happen to be at the hands of young black males.”

“The police aren’t what’s wrong about America. The police are one of the last things that’s right about America,” Clarke said.

“White society is going to get tired of having their nose rubbed in the past sins of slavery. We know what it did. But white society has made great strides in trying to right that wrong,” he added.

And that America has come a long way in terms of racial harmony, is not getting enough praise Clarke correctly claims.

His refreshing insights are well worth a watch.

Chicago council committee passes strict new gun shop ordinances, sets $3,800 fee

Chicago council members who approved the city’s strict new gun shop license program Wednesday call it, “one of the smartest” in the country.

Among the many tenets of the city’s draft would include fees of up to $3,800 per shop, waiting periods on purchases, restrictions on location that would put most of Chicago off-limits, and videotaping sales transactions.

“I don’t think we want these kinds of things in our communities at all,” Ald. Walter Burnett Jr., speaking for many in the council, told DNAinfo Chicago.

thers on the City council’s Committee on Public Safety praised the proposed regulations, with committee chairman Ald. James Balcer calling the package, “one of the smartest, most cutting-edge licensing laws in the country.”

The city had in 2010 practically banned the sale of firearms inside its limits, only to have Federal Judge Edmond E. Chang rule the restrictions unconstitutional this January. Chang then specified that the city have new regulations in place within six months following a request from Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

The 30-page proposal would require bi-yearly fees ranging from $1,100 for a “weapons dealer” who would be cleared to sell stun guns, to $3,800 for firearms dealers. In addition to this, the language of the ordinance would forbid issuing licenses to anyone working from a home, or within 500 feet of a park, school, church, or any building leased to or owned by the city, state, or federal government.

It is believed that this would put some 99.5 percent of the city off-limits to potential gun stores.

While in business, the license holder would be subject to quarterly inspections of their records by the Chicago Police Department, have to submit all employees to a background check by the department, maintain a $1 million liability insurance policy, and comply with a safety plan. All employees would further have to attend mandated training developed by the superintendent of police, with refresher classes conducted every three years.

Firearms sales would have to be videotaped while certain types of ammunition, such as any without a lead core, or in .50BMG-caliber, would be prohibited. In addition to these regulations, there is a mandated waiting period of 72-hours for handguns and a 24-hour period for long arms.

CBS Chicago reported that no gun rights advocates appeared at the committee meeting to speak against the new regulations, calling the conclusion “foregone.”

Nevertheless, Second Amendment supporters in the Land of Lincoln are shocked by the ordinance’s guidelines.

“It doesn’t allow gun shops. It allows them to not be gun shops,” said Richard Pearson, executive director of the Illinois Rifle Association.

One of the bigger issues that draw Pearson’s concern is the mandate to video sales transactions.

“It makes it impossible or undesirable to buy from those gun shops,” Pearson added. “Who knows where those videos are gonna go? We know how tight and secure government is. Your latest firearm purchase may wind up on YouTube.”

The ordinance will go to the full city council on Friday and has to be submitted to the courts by July 14.


Emanuel Wants To Require Videotaping Of All Gun Sales In Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) – The Emanuel administration has outlined a plan to impose strict regulations on gun shops that open within city limits, including a requirement to record every sale on video.

WBBM Newsradio Political Editor Craig Dellimore reports the Emanuel administration and Chicago Police have created a report with the help of the University of Chicago Crime Lab, envisioning a plan to require gun store employees to submit to criminal background checks, and receive training on identifying potential gun traffickers.

Under Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s proposed, gun shops in Chicago could not be located within 500 feet of a school or park – limiting them to very small pockets of the city covering less than .5 percent of Chicago.

The shops would have to install exterior lighting, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems, and provide secure storage of guns and ammunition. Police would have to approve a store’s security plan before it could open.

Cameras would have to record all sales of guns, and shops would not be allowed to sell more than one handgun per month to a single customer.

Ald. Walter Burnett Jr. (27th) said the regulations are a good start.

“This is just letting everyone know that we here in the city of Chicago are very serious about gun trafficking going on in the city of Chicago,” he said. “So we want to make sure if a person is proposing to do some gun trafficking here, we want to limit them as much as possible.”

Another alderman who had not seen the report said it sounds good to her so far.

The city really has no choice but to establish rules allowing gun shops to operate in the city. Earlier this year, a federal court struck down the city’s ban on gun sales by licensed dealers as unconstitutional. Rather than appeal the ruling, the city successfully asked for 180 days to enact “reasonable and comprehensive regulations” for gun sales. That deadline is looming in July.

“I’ve asked the [Corporation Counsel] to go to court, ask for six months period of time not to implement what the court just decided, and allow us to come up with a responsible way to implement – within their strictures – which is to put a gun shop, or allow gun shops in the city of Chicago, but in a way that doesn’t undermine the work that we are trying to do,” Emanuel said after the judge’s ruling in January.

A top aide to the mayor said New York City has required gun dealers to videotape the “point of sale” whenever someone buys a gun from a licensed dealer, after settling a 2006 lawsuit against 20 firearms dealers. Employees of New York gun stores also receive training from a retired federal agent on how to identify possible illegal gun traffickers.

Gun shops also would have to keep a log of all firearm sales in which a gun was later recovered in a crime, to help identify gun trafficking suspects if they later tried to buy more guns.

Peter A. Peterson, a Washington attorney for gun-rights advocates who sued the city over the store ban, said he could not comment until he sees the ordinance. Todd Vandermyde, a spokesman for the National Rifle Association in Illinois, also declined to comment.

Both men have previously said that the six-month time frame for coming up with regulations was too long.


3 Lessons Our Politicians Should Learn From Fort Hood

As with all Americans, my wife, Gena, and I had our hearts broken again last Wednesday as we heard about another killing spree at Fort Hood, Texas, in which four people died and 16 more were injured at the U.S. Army’s largest active-duty installation.

Chelsea Schilling, WorldNetDaily’s commentator editor and journalist extraordinaire, reported shortly after the tragedy: “The shooter, identified as 34-year-old Ivan Lopez, is among the dead. Lopez reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” but only after being confronted by a courageous female military police officer in the parking lot. (Interestingly, it was also a female cop who felt responsible for thwarting the Fort Hood gunman in 2009. Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 people — the deadliest attack on a domestic military base in U.S. history.)

Lt. Gen. Mark Milley, III Corps commander at Fort Hood, said the shooter last week was a soldier who was under evaluation for post-traumatic stress disorder.

Tragically, Lopez tipped from one mental health extreme to the other.

The New York Times reported: “On March 1, the same day he purchased the .45-caliber semiautomatic pistol he used in the attack, Specialist Lopez wrote an especially angry and vaguely threatening post. ‘My spiritual peace has all gone away, I am full of hate, I believe now the devil is taking me. I was robbed last night and I’m sure it was two flacos. Green light and thumbs down. It’s just that easy.'”

If there is confusion on a few fronts of combat, one thing is very clear: The Obama administration hasn’t learned jack from the mass shooting at the Washington Navy Yard last September or the Fort Hood massacres in 2009 and last week. So let me help.

First, the White House needs to pull its head out of the sands of war denial and delusion. If the 2009 Fort Hood massacre wasn’t labeled by the Obama administration as “terror,” we can expect it to neutralize last week’s tragic shooting, as well.

There’s a reason former Defense Secretary Robert Gates labeled Obama the duck-and-dodge commander in chief in his book “Duty: Memoirs of a Secretary at War.” Gates described Obama this way: “I thought: The president doesn’t trust his commander … doesn’t believe in his own strategy and doesn’t consider the war to be his. For him, it’s all about getting out.”

And a new poll from The Washington Post and the Kaiser Family Foundation reported that only 42 percent of military veterans who served in Iraq or Afghanistan said they believe that Obama is a “good commander in chief of the military.” Forty-eight percent said he is not. In comparison, 65 percent of veterans said President George W. Bush was a good commander in chief.

The president doesn’t understand war or our warriors, but that shouldn’t stop him from standing up for them and continually fighting for their welfare on and off the combat field.

Second, the U.S. must do more to help treat, transition and better acclimate returning service members from the battlefield instead of throwing them to the lions of PTSD.

USA Today just ran an article on the subject, saying:

“About 1,000 veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan war era are diagnosed each week with post-traumatic stress disorder and more than 800 with depression, according to (Department of Veterans Affairs) statistics.

“The Pentagon said Thursday that more than 155,000 U.S. troops have PTSD and that more than three-quarters of them are combat veterans.

“The disorder is characterized by symptoms such as flashbacks, nightmares, emotional numbness or hyper-vigilance that follow a traumatic experience. The symptoms persist, becoming more severe rather than going away and lasting longer than a month, said Paula Schnurr, acting executive director at the VA’s National Center for PTSD.”

Third, junk the gun-free zones on military bases.

WND’s Matt Barber wrote:

“Notice a trend here? What do Sandy Hook Elementary, Aurora Colorado’s Century 16 theatre, Columbine, Fort Hood No. 1 and Fort Hood No. 2 all have in common? They’re all ‘gun-free zones.’

“Oh, that rather than ‘gun-free zone,’ each of these terror sites had a sign reading: ‘Staff heavily armed and trained. Any attempts to harm those herein will be met with deadly force.’

“Might some of those beautiful souls have yet died before one or more well-armed good guys could take out the well-armed bad guys? Perhaps. But how many precious lives could have been saved?”

Between January 2009 and September 2013, 14 mass shootings took place in public spaces that were so-called “gun-free zones.” In 13 mass shootings, military officers or law enforcement personnel were targeted, injured or killed while responding.

Ryan Lott, son of Fox News commentator John Lott, was recently back from a tour in Afghanistan and stationed at Fort Hood when he heard the shooter’s shots this past Wednesday from just two blocks away.

“Ironically,” John Lott wrote, “my son is a concealed handgun permit holder. He can carry a concealed handgun whenever he is off the Fort Hood base so that he can protect himself and others. But on the base he and his fellow soldiers are defenseless.”

Instead of protecting others, soldiers surrounding the murder spree can do nothing but run and hide. Schilling reported, “Soldiers began jumping over fences to escape the attacker” while sirens sounded across the post. A warning blared: “Close your windows! Seek shelter immediately!”

True, there are military police guarding the entrances of posts, but like public law enforcement, they can’t be in all places all the time, Lott additionally noted. And by the time they are called and respond, it’s often too late.

Why is it that we trust our service members to bear arms in foreign lands to protect themselves and others but we won’t allow them to have concealed permits on U.S. military bases on American soil for the purpose of protecting themselves and others? We trust them in combat but not at the coffee bar on a military base?

Schilling, who joined the Army at 17 and received the exceptional designation of expert marksman three times, wrote an email the night of the second Fort Hood massacre: “I am heartbroken over the latest mass shooting at Fort Hood. I’m saddened by the condition of our men and women coming home with psychological trauma, and I’m outraged that Fort Hood is a gun-free zone. I was part of the 1st Cavalry Division there several years ago, and what I wouldn’t give to be on that post with a concealed firearm tonight to help stop this brutal massacre.”

I pray that the White House will finally learn its lessons and make sure someone is there next time to prevent any more epically senseless casualties of our combat heroes on U.S. soil.

Vladimir Putin Nominated For Nobel Peace Prize

Russian President Vladimir Putin has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, CBS News reports.

The nomination, which can be submitted by any one of thousands of people eligible to submit from around the world, is one pick among many others in a record year for submissions.

The submission is sure to be controversial, considering Russia’s ongoing military action inside Ukraine’s Crimea region, which has been called an “armed invasion.”

The Nobel Committee has received 278 nominations for the Peace Prize this year, making it the highest number of candidates ever, according to the official website. The committee narrowed the list down to just 25 on Tuesday, and will eventually whittle that number down to a dozen before May, CBS News reports.

Others in the running this year include fugitive ex-NSA contractor Edward Snowden, Pope Francis, and Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani teenager who recovered after being shot in the head by the Taliban to become an incredible advocate for women’s rights.

The is not a lie to outrageous for Obama to tell or repeat.

Political commercials using a candidate’s own words to show that someone has changed positions, flip-flopped or lied, is nothing new. However, TheBlaze has discovered a new video that seems to take the idea a few steps further, expanding the :30 second commercial into a short, un-narrated documentary.


The compilation attached here is first product posted online by an amateur video editor. TheBlaze interviewed the project’s creator. The man (who wishes to remain anonymous) told us that he wanted to show his undecided friends (as well as those considering voting for Obama) the stark contrast between what the president has said in the past and what he has said and done in office.

He used clips from previous appearances by President Obama as well as excerpts from various ads and news programs and built something he calls “Words Matter.”

The YouTube description reads:

A short un-narrated documentary that looks at Obama’s first term with regards to transparency, healthcare, taxes, fairness, energy and the national debt – guaranteed to contain information of interest.

The heretofore apolitical unnamed editor describes himself “just a guy in his living room. ”  He said that his goal was to get the viewer’s attention for less than fifteen minutes. Mission accomplished — the video runs just 13:27 (including a short promo for “2016” that was tacked onto the end.
