Israeli Government Considers Treating Syrian Children Wounded in Chemical Attack

I thought thought according to the loony left and our college stupids Israel was an apartheid state. Snark

Yet Israel is considering helping the children of Syria that were victims of the gas attack.

That sounds very compassionate and not very apartheid.

JERUSALEM, Israel — Israel’s security diplomatic cabinet on Sunday discussed ways to help Syrian children wounded in a chemical weapons attack last week in the town of Idlib.

During the cabinet’s weekly meeting, Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz proposed bringing some of the children hurt in the attack, who had since then been transported to Turkey, for treatment in the Jewish State.

According to a report in Israel Hayom, Katz said the issue was a moral and ethical issue, but Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman objected to the proposal.

Liberman refused to comment further on his objection and said upon exiting the meeting: “I do not refer to cabinet discussions and regret that ministers, even before the discussion is through, systematically leak from the meeting.”

Hebrew-language news website Ynet reported Liberman’s reasoning was the difficulty in coordinating the transfer of the children from Turkey to Israel.

According to Haaretz, Interior Security Minister Gilad Erdan supported Katz’s proposal.

Interior Affairs Minister Aryeh Deri’s proposal from several weeks ago to permanently absorb 100 Syrian orphans for relocation to Israel was not discussed in the meeting.

A statement from the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued after the meeting said: “There was no proposal for a cabinet decision and there was no vote. Ministers expressed their opinions on the subject and it was decided that the issue will be examined it will be checked whether it is at all possible to bring children from Idlib for medical treatment. Absorbing them in Israel is not what was discussed.”

At the beginning of the cabinet meeting, Netanyahu reiterated that Israel was “fully supportive” of the American attack on a Syrian airbase, carried out in response to the chemical weapons attack.

“They do it out of moral necessity in the face of the difficult images coming from Idlib and also so it would be clear – there’s a price for deploying chemical weapons,” Netanyahu said, adding that Israel is continuing to treat wounded civilians from Syria as part of a global humanitarian effort “and will continue to do so.”

Also on Sunday, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin visited Israel’s northern border and a hospital in Nahariya, a town in northern Israel. Rivlin praised the staff at the hospital, which has been among those treating casualties from the Syrian civil war. He told the hospital director Dr. Masad Barhoum: “Your work is Jewish and Israeli pride, and proof that the world is built with grace.”

Last week, the IDF treated seven Syrians who were wounded by shrapnel during bombings of villages close to the Israeli-Syrian border.

According to Yisrael Hayom, since the IDF started treating Syrians wounded in the war in early 2013, some 3,000 were treated in Israeli medical facilities, of which some 20 percent are children, and 10 percent are women.

Israeli Minister: Moral Claim To Land Of Israel Is From Bible, Not Google

H/T Breitbart Jerusalem.

God promised all of the land this is now the land of Israel to Abraham and his descendants.

That includes the area called the West Bank.

Genesis 12:7 New Living Translation (NLT)

Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your descendants.[a]” And Abram built an altar there and dedicated it to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

TEL AVIV – Israel’s moral claim to the land of Israel comes from the Bible, not Google, an Israeli minister said in Washington on Tuesday at an event marking 50 years since the 1967 Six Day War.

“Defense is important and security is important, but the most important thing is the moral claim of Israel. We are committed to go forward with living in our ancient land, land that was given us not by Google and Wikipedia, but by the Bible; King David, King Saul, King David, King Solomon, Abraham – and this is the right [and] we are going to demand our right forever and ever,” Communications Minister Tzachi Hanegbi said.

The event, called “Celebrate 50 Years of Rejuvenation in Judea and Samaria,” marked the capture of the West Bank by the Jewish state in 1967’s defensive war. It was attended by nationalist Israeli ministers including Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely, Israeli consul generals, settler leaders and 350 AIPAC participants.

The conference speakers expressed strong support for extending Israeli sovereignty to the West Bank, referred to by its biblical name Judea and Samaria.

Housing and Construction Minister Yoav Galant (Kulanu) said, “For us, Judea and Samaria is Israel.” He added that control of Area C, the West Bank territory under Israeli civilian and military rule in which both Palestinians and Jewish Israelis reside, is essential for Israel’s continued security.

“There is no way that Israel can exist” without the Jordan Valley and the mountaintops of Samaria, he said. “Of course, it is difficult to have a strong Jerusalem without [the settlements of] Givat Ze’ev, Ma’aleh Adumim and Gush Etzion and all these places.”

Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely spoke about Israel’s victory in the Six Day War.

“It was a just war. It is a just defense. But the most important one, it was based on a just claim. A just claim of the Jewish people on [the Biblical areas of] Beit El, Shechem, Jerusalem and Hebron,” she said.

“Let me tell you something, if those places are not Jewish, who can tell me that [the modern cities of] Herzliya, Rehovot, Rishon Lezion and Tel Aviv are Jewish,” Hotovely said. “I always say that the occupation is a myth, because we never occupied other people’s land. [Judea and Samaria] is Jewish land. This should forever be a Jewish land under Israeli law.”

“We need to get to a million settlers in Judea and Samaria – with a U.S. embassy in Jerusalem. We need to think of new ways of thinking that will include Judea and Samaria under Israeli sovereignty forever.”

Yishai Fleisher, the event’s MC and International Spokesman for the Jewish community of Hebron, criticized a common response to accusations of so-called Israeli occupation.

“They say ‘you stole our land’ and we say ‘but we created the cell phone,’” he said in his opening speech. Instead, Fleisher said, the world must be told categorically that the West Bank belongs to Israel and it will stop at nothing to annex and develop it.

U.S. ‘Outraged’ Over UN Report Claiming Israel Is ‘Apartheid Regime’

This is one of many reason for the United States to defund and evict the United Nations.

Israel needs to never give up one inch of land to create a Palestinian state.

If the Palestinians want a  state them need to ask their Ara brothers for the land for a state.

TEL AVIV – The U.S. slammed the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) over a new report accusing Israel of being an “apartheid regime” that “dominates the Palestinian people as a whole.”

“That such anti-Israel propaganda would come from a body whose membership nearly universally does not recognize Israel is unsurprising,” U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said in a statement. “That it was drafted by Richard Falk, a man who has repeatedly made biased and deeply offensive comments about Israel and espoused ridiculous conspiracy theories, including about the 9/11 terrorist attacks, is equally unsurprising.”

“The United Nations Secretariat was right to distance itself from this report, but it must go further and withdraw the report altogether,” Haley added. “The United States stands with our ally Israel and will continue to oppose biased and anti-Israel actions across the UN system and around the world.”

Israeli Envoy to the UN Danny Danon said, “The attempt to smear and falsely label the only true democracy in the Middle East by creating a false analogy is despicable and constitutes a blatant lie.”

Spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry Emmanuel Nahshon said the ESCWA report was akin to Nazi propaganda.

“Friendly advice — don’t read it without anti-nausea pills,” he tweeted, adding that it was a “Der Stürmer”-like report, referring to the Nazi propaganda publication.

UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said that the publication of the report was done without consultation with the UN Secretariat.

“The report as it stands does not reflect the views of the secretary-general (Antonio Guterres),” Dujarric said.

Former Israeli ambassador to the UN Dan Gillerman said in a conference call in which Breitbart Jerusalem participated that the report was “shameful” but not surprising from the international body, which he described as a “citadel of hypocrisy.”

“I’m shocked but not surprised the UN,” Gillerman said. “As someone who spent six years there, I was shocked time and time again by the bias, by the prejudice and indeed, by the triple standards of the UN.”

The UN, Gillerman continued, has one standard for democracies, one for totalitarian states and a third standard that is “devoted wholly and solely for Israel.”

Gillerman lambasted the notion of apartheid, saying Arabs have far more freedoms in Israel than even Arab states.

“Israel is the only country where an Arab – a Palestinian – can appeal to the Supreme Court against the Israeli government and get an injunction against his own government. Ask them to do that in Damascus or Libya, they wouldn’t dare, they wouldn’t have the ability or the guts, they would be executed or imprisoned,” he said.

The ESCWA is headquartered in Beirut, Lebanon and is comprised of 18 member states from the Middle East and North Africa.

In February, Haley voiced her concerns at the UN about the double standards and bias the international body harbors toward Israel.

“I am here to underscore the ironclad support of the United States for Israel,” Haley told reporters following her first meeting with the Security Council on Middle East issues. “I’m here to emphasize the United States is determined to stand up to the UN’s anti-Israel bias. We will never repeat the terrible mistake of Resolution 2334 and allow one-sided Security Council resolutions to condemn Israel. Instead, we will push for action on the real threats we face in the Middle East.”

Israeli Doctors Restore Face of Ethiopian Boy Attacked by Wild Hyena

How can this be possible Israeli doctors help this child?

According to the followers of the Pedophile Mohammed the Israelis are evil oppressors.

The followers of the Pedophile Mohammed are the evil oppressors not the Israelis.

TEL AVIV – Israeli doctors have successfully treated a seven-year-old boy from Ethiopia whose head and face were mutilated by a wild spotted hyena to the point of being “unrecognizable,” the Jerusalem Post reported.

The boy was flown to Israel as part of a humanitarian mission and treated at the Western Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. According to his medical team, he has recovered and both the cosmetic and functional outcome are “acceptable.”

Having only just made it out alive after the mauling, the boy underwent treatment in the hospital’s plastic surgery, otolaryngology, ophthalmology and maxillofacial departments, the report said.

The latest issue of the Israel Medical Association Journal published a report on the case.

“His face was severely mutilated and he was hospitalized at the Addis Ababa Medical Center for several months. As a unique humanitarian act, this child was transferred to the plastic surgery department at Galilee Medical Center with the aid of the Israeli embassy, a Jewish organization in the U.S., a local Ethiopian church and an Ethiopian Muslim organization,” the medical journal said.

By the time he arrived at the Israeli hospital, the seven-year-old needed to have the dead skin on his face debrided, the Post said. His eardrum was treated and saved and his jaw was reconstructed using bone from his rib. He lost the use of his right eye.

In 2013, Israeli diplomats led a campaign to raise $40,000 to fly another Ethiopian boy attacked by a hyena to Israel for treatment at the same hospital. The animal had attacked the boy’s village, killing five people and wounding 15 more.

FLASHBACK – Reports: Obama’s 2008 Campaign Reps Talked with Iran, Hamas

This took place on the watch of Bathhouse Barry so the lamestream media turned a blind eye to it

Amid the controversy surrounding White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s alleged conversations with Russia, it may be instrumental to recall that representatives for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign were accused of meeting with Hamas and Iran.

Depending on what took place, the alleged contacts with Iran may have violated the Logan Act, which bars citizens from negotiating with foreign governments in dispute with the United States. It may be questionable whether Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, legally qualifies as a foreign government.

In 2008, Robert Malley stepped down as an informal foreign policy adviser to Obama’s campaign when it was revealed that he met with Hamas members.

Malley admitted to the meetings, but he claimed he met with the terrorists as part of his private job.

“I have never hidden the fact that I had meetings with Hamas,” Malley wrote in an open letter published in the New York Times. “I do this as part of my job as Middle East program director at the International Crisis Group.”

He said he distanced himself from Obama’s campaign because the Hamas meetings were “becoming a distraction to me and to Senator Obama’s campaign, and to avoid any misperception — misrepresentation being the more accurate word — about the candidate’s position regarding the Islamist movement.”

Malley later joined the Obama administration. In 2015, he was appointed to lead the Middle East desk of the National Security Council.

He was also named Obama’s special adviser regarding the Islamic State.

Meanwhile, in August 2014, Michael Ledeen, a former consultant to the National Security Council and U.S. Defense Department, penned a column at PJ Media stating Obama opened a back-channel to Iran during the 2008 presidential campaign. Ledeen said the back channel went through retired Ambassador William G. Miller, who also led the 1979 negotiating mission during the Iran hostage crisis. Ladeen wrote that Miller confirmed his back-channel involvement to him.

Ledeen wrote:

The actual strategy is detente first, and then a full alliance with Iran throughout the Middle East and North Africa. It has been on display since before the beginning of the Obama administration. During his first presidential campaign in 2008, Mr. Obama used a secret back channel to Tehran to assure the mullahs that he was a friend of the Islamic Republic, and that they would be very happy with his policies. The secret channel was Ambassador William G. Miller, who served in Iran during the shah’s rule, as chief of staff for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, and as ambassador to Ukraine. Ambassador Miller has confirmed to me his conversations with Iranian leaders during the 2008 campaign.

The Logan Act states:

Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
