This is from the New York Daily News.

A son of Obama murders his infant daughter  the feeds her body to his pit bull.

There is a place in Hell for this punk.

As a father this makes me violently ill.

I could personally kill this POS and feed him to the hogs.

Then scumbag great grandmother says it is a quote dead issue and she did not want to talk about it..

Just shy of her second birthday, Serenity Brown was possibly beaten to death by her father, Edward, who then sliced her up and fed her to a dog, according to law enforcement sources and documents. City social workers discovered the child was missing in 2011, leading her mother, Paula Johnson, to give the grisly account of her daughter’s disappearance.

Her name was Serenity — something she barely knew in her short life.

Serenity Brown, just shy of her second birthday, was possibly beaten to death by her father, then sliced up and fed to a pit bull in July 2006, according to law enforcement sources and documents.

But authorities didn’t learn about the giggly toddler’s disappearance until five years later — and are still trying to close the ghastly cold case in which a body was never found and no suspect ever arrested.

City social workers discovered the child was missing during a 2011 visit, and cops opened an investigation into her mother’s claims about the horrors that went down in a Brooklyn apartment.

Little Serenity was listening to her mother, Paula Johnson, read a story inside their Canarsie apartment when, according to Johnson, her ex-con dad, Edward (Chuck) Brown, flew into a rage over the child’s laughter, law enforcement sources said.

A single punch to the chest left the helpless tot unresponsive, Johnson told investigators.

Johnson claimed Brown snatched Serenity’s limp body from the mom’s arms, carried his daughter into the bathroom, put her in the tub and filled it with water, sources said.

He allegedly fetched a knife from the kitchen, turned up the volume on the radio and told Johnson to stay in the bedroom before carving up the dead child, sources said.

Johnson told investigators Brown then fed the girl’s remains to a pit bull, a source said. An anonymous caller last year claimed the crime was covered up when Brown then executed the dog.

The start of the probe was delayed for five years, as investigators only learned about Serenity’s disappearance in October 2011.

Social workers visited the mom’s new address 5 miles away in Flatbush after a report that Johnson, 35, was keeping her 12-year-old son home from school.

While at the Coney Island Ave. home, the workers came to the horrible realization that Serenity — while listed as receiving public assistance — was nowhere to be found, records from the Administration for Children’s Services show.

Johnson initially claimed Serenity was with her paternal grandmother in Alabama before coming clean about her daughter’s gruesome demise.

The mother claimed Brown, 34, killed the child and “they had discarded the body,” according to the ACS documents.

Serenity’s paternal grandmother, Alfreddia Norris, told the Daily News that the NYPD came to her Alabama home looking for Serenity in 2011.

Norris, whose son lives nearby, said she hadn’t seen the baby since the girl was 3 months old.

“I’d like to know what happened to her,” said Norris. “Where is she?”

The grandmother defended her son against the homicide allegations, suggesting the mother was to blame.

“Why did she say that and then say that he had her down here?” Norris said. “She’s the one folks need to be talking to.”

Repeated attempts to reach Serenity’s parents were unsuccessful. Neither has been charged with a crime.

Serenity's body has not been found, and neither dad Edward (Chuck) Brown nor any other suspect has been arrested.Murdering POS Gang Banger

A source said Johnson was questioned in 2011 by police and she told them Brown killed Serenity because the girl was laughing too loudly.

Johnson told authorities Brown plucked Serenity from the bed and slammed her down on a couch in the apartment’s single bedroom, leaving the child stunned. He then allegedly punched the tiny tot in the chest. Her body went limp. Johnson said she put her ear to the baby’s chest but didn’t hear anything, so she tried CPR, the sources said.

ACS received an anonymous phone tip last March claiming that “the mother and father got rid of the child by feeding the child to a pit bull. The father then killed the dog,” agency documents show.

Johnson’s mother, now living in the Coney Island Ave. apartment visited by ACS in 2011, was reluctant to answer questions about her long-missing granddaughter.

“Yes, I feel sad about it,” said Cynthia Johnson, 53, at her apartment. “I don’t know nothing about this.”

She said she rarely saw her granddaughter because Brown, who went to prison in New York for attempted robbery in 2000 and was released a year later, wouldn’t let her daughter bring Serenity around.

By the time caseworkers visited the mom in 2011, the parents had split up and moved from the building where Serenity was allegedly killed.

But investigators have continued to search for evidence in the 70-unit apartment building with views of Jamaica Bay.

Heather Scipio, 58, who took over the lease in 2010, said detectives have been to her apartment five times.

“They would come in here, looking in this closet, in that closet, in the bathroom, on the floor searching for evidence,” she said. “There’d be two of them here each time, for about 30 minutes each time, hoping to find something. … They told me what happened here, that a little girl died.”

She said cops paid extra attention to her bathroom, looking under the rug for evidence, and knocking on a living room wall to see if anything was inside.

“I said, ‘How are you going to find evidence after that long?’ ” Scipio recalled.

She said cops haven’t been back since last winter — around the same time ACS got the phone tip.

Some relatives said they have long wondered what became of Serenity.

A man who said Serenity was his cousin, but asked not to be identified, said he hadn’t seen her since she was an infant.

“She was a gorgeous baby,” he said.

Serenity’s great-grandmother, who asked not to be identified by name, wondered why the mom hadn’t told anyone what happened.

“Why didn’t she say anything?” asked the woman, who lives on Coney Island Ave.

She was reluctant to discuss the tragedy any further.

“That’s a dead issue,” she said. “It was years ago.”

Another son of Obama assaults another white woman.

The moron that wrote this article calls this the alleged

knockout game.

Like this game is made up by the Hidlabeast Clinton’s vast

Right wing conspiracy.

I will disagree with the NYPD this is not a man but a savage

feral animal.

Police described the suspect in the assault as a 5-foot-8 man, 180 pounds, with short braids. He wore a black wool cap, green jacket and dark jeans, police said.

BROOKLYN — A mother was sucker punched while crossing a Midwood street with her 7-year-old daughter in broad daylight, police said.

The 33-year-old mother was near the intersection of 12th Street and Elm Avenue inMidwood about 2:45 p.m. Saturday when a man approached her from behind, swung at the back of her head and knocked her to the ground, police said.

Nothing was reported stolen. The woman sustained minor injuries to her hands and knees, police said.

The attack appears to follow the pattern of the alleged “knockout game” assaults that have taken place over the past couple of months in Midwood and Crown Heights.

In the knockout game, a random victim is punched in the head and knocked to the ground. Nothing is stolen during the assault.

Police did not immediately say whether they were investigating Saturday’s assault as part of the knockout pattern.

Police described the suspect as a man with short braids, about 5-foot-8 and weighing 180 pounds. He wore a black wool cap, green jacket, and dark jeans, officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).

Councilwoman Blames ‘Knockout’ Attacks on Tension Between Blacks and Jews

This is from DNAinfo New York.

It seems very one wants to blame their troubles on the Jews.

How in the Hell do this black misleaders sleep at night?

Jessie Jackson called New York City Hymie Town.

Laurie Cumbo

CROWN HEIGHTS — The alleged “knockout” attacks on Jewish residents ofCrown Heights may stem from ongoing racial tension between the neighborhood’s black and Jewish communities, a newly-elected Brooklyn politician said.

Councilwoman-elect Laurie Cumbo, who was elected to represent Crown Heights starting in January, released an open letter Tuesday saying that many of her black constituents told her they feel threatened by the growth of the neighborhood’s Jewish community — and she fears the tension could be spiking the recent violence.

“Many African American/Caribbean residents expressed a genuine concern that as the Jewish community continues to grow, they would be pushed out by their Jewish landlords or by Jewish families looking to purchase homes,” Cumbo wrote in the 1,200-word letter, which was emailed to supporters and posted on her Facebook page.

“I respect and appreciate the Jewish community’s family values and unity that has led to strong political, economic and cultural gains. While I personally regard this level of tenacity, I also recognize that for others, the accomplishments of the Jewish community triggers feelings of resentment, and a sense that Jewish success is not also their success.”

She added that these sentiments among black Crown Heights residents “offer possible insight as to how young African American/Caribbean teens could conceivably commit a ‘hate crime’ against a community that they know very little about.”

Cumbo posted her letter a week after she was quoted making similar remarks to The Jewish Week.

Rabbi Chanina Sperlin, a longtime Crown Heights community leader who stood alongside Cumbo at a press conference condemning the knockout attacks last month, said Cumbo’s letter completely missed the mark.

“I saw her letter. I told her I totally disagree,” Sperlin said. “I think she has a lot to learn in this community….she’s coming in on such a left foot, and she didn’t even step into the City Council yet.”

Sperlin added that Cumbo’s claim that African Americans and Caribbean Americans were unfairly feeling the brunt of the real-estate crunch ignored the pressures equally faced by their Jewish neighbors.

“I don’t know where the wild dream is coming from that Jewish people want to kick African Americans out of their houses…but it’s definitely not coming from the Jewish community,” the rabbi said.

Crown Heights Youth Collective President Richard Greene, who has spent his career working closely with neighborhood teens, said he, too, felt Cumbo had jumped to conclusions about the recent attacks.

“I would definitely disagree with that — I think we’re going much better now than we’ve ever been before and I see us continuing that way,” Greene said. “What is happening is some undisciplined folks who are the exception and not the rule. Whether it’s Crown Heights or Brownsville, it’s the exception and not the rule.”

The Anti-Defamation League went further, saying that the letter “evokes classic anti-Semitic stereotypes.”

“As an organization that has worked for more than 20 years to improve Black-Jewish relations in the aftermath of the Crown Heights riots, we are troubled by the incoming councilwoman’s sentiments, particularly her comment about resentment over Jewish economic success, which evokes classic anti-Semitic stereotypes,” New York Regional Director Evan Bernstein wrote in a statement.

“Still, it seems from her letter that she means well and we would be open to meeting with her and others in the community to continue the dialogue.”

New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind also weighed in, writing in a letter to Cumbo on his blog that he was “dismayed” by the councilwoman-elect’s message.

“Expressing, as you have, a sympathy for those who hold the success of the Jewish community in contempt — as a success ‘not their own’ — almost rings as an apology for those who are committing violent crimes as a response to their resentment,” Hikind wrote Wednesday.

“As you state later in your letter, if one person attacks another, regardless of the motivation, there is no justification for such an action.”

As of last week, the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force was investigating at least seven attacks in Crown Heights, Midwood and Borough Park as possible anti-Semitic bias crimes, while police try to determine whether the attacks are connected to the violent street game in which teens attempt to knock unsuspecting victims unconscious with a single punch. The attacks include a 19-year-old Hasidic man who was punched in the face on Kingston Avenue near Crown Street by a group of eight teens on Nov. 10 and a 78-year-old womanwho was hit over the head in Midwood on Nov. 9.

In her letter, Cumbo characterized the attacks as part of a breakdown in relations between African-American and Caribbean-American residents and the Lubavitch Hasidim, who have lived together in sometimes-uneasy proximity for decades.

The most notorious clash between the groups took place during the Crown Heights Riots in August 1991, when a 7-year-old black boy was hit and killed by a Hasidic driver as part of a motorcade for a Lubavitcher rebbe, setting off four days of violence.

“The African American/Caribbean/Jewish community had come a long way since the Crown Heights Riots over twenty years ago,” Cumbo said, adding that she met with a local rabbi at a community meeting last month to discuss educating the neighborhood’s youth about their history “in order to prevent it from spiraling out of control.”

“Today, most young people are not even aware that the Crown Heights Riots even happened,” she added.

“I believe that it is critical for our communities, and especially for our young people, to gain a greater understanding of one another so that we can learn more about each other’s challenges and triumphs despite religious and cultural differences,” Cumbo wrote. “When I assume office in January, I will be working with local leaders to plan a series of events that will bring our young people together.”

The councilwoman-elect said that while there is never any justification for violence, “In many ways governmental neglect, outside uncontrolled influences and failed leadership have led to the breakdown that so many young people of color are currently facing.

“We should never blame a victim, or try to explain away any wrongdoing… Yet, since the issue of race has been unfortunately been introduced into the conversation about the current epidemic, I pray that I can assist in bringing my Jewish and African-American/Caribbean constituents to a far better relationship and understanding.”

She also slammed the media for raising alarm over assaults on Jewish victims while failing to communicate outrage against violence in the black community.

“As the media has recently focused our attention on the ‘Knock Out Game,’ I am challenged with the reality that a 66 year old grandfather was shot and killed earlier this week while dropping off money in Fort Greene’s Walt Whitman Houses to help a family pay for Thanksgiving dinner,” Cumbo wrote.

“There was no public outcry or calls for swift legal action for this loss of life or for the dozens of others that were killed in the public housing developments this year in the District.”

“We must all come together across religious and racial lines anytime someone in our community is attacked.”

Cumbo said Wednesday that she’s gotten a lot of feedback about her letter online, adding that it was primarily positive.

She added that “if these attacks are driven by hate crimes, we have to understand where that hate is coming from, we just have to understand it. We may be able to arrest the individuals that were involved, but how do we prevent it from happening again?”

How to Win the Knock-out Game

This is from Clash Daily.

I am too crippled up to run away.

I am too old to take an ass whooping.

So I will shoot your dumbass and continue to

shoot you until you’re no longer a threat.

There’s a new game in town called the “Knock-out Game” and it’s taking the country by storm! But the great thing about this game is it’s being played by both young and old alike. Kids think it’s fun. Adults, though they’ve yet to embrace the game, are playing regardless, because, well, they really have no choice. You see, the game is played like this. A teenage male strikes an unsuspecting person from behind, or as they walk by, as hard as they can. The goal is to knock them unconscious with one punch. It’s being played with increasing regularity all across our big cities.

I’ve watched all the videos and they sicken me, no, more than that, they anger me. Kids say it’s fun. I say it’s sick and twisted and the end-game of a Godless society. But that’s not what I’m here to talk about today. I don’t care about the “why” or the social causes and ramifications of this disgusting violence. The purpose of this article is to teach you how to defend against roving teen-age punks who are hell-bent on hurting or killing you. Here are some handy tips to help you win the “Knock-out Game.”

1. Always be in a heightened state of awareness. After studying the videos, it’s obvious all the victims were clueless and lost in their own la-la, sheeplike world of innocent oblivion. Step number one to winning the game is to reach back and pull your daydreaming head out of your rectal orifice. Stop being a sheep! The NRA teaches four levels of awareness: Unaware, Aware, Alert, and Alarm. America’s days of walking around unaware are over. Stay in the “Aware” state of mind. You aren’t paranoid, but you’re watching that roving band of teenagers laughing and joking as they herd toward you.

2. Embrace the warrior mindset. Go to and study Lt. Colonel Dave Grossman’s books and articles on sheep, sheepdogs and wolves. Look up, make eye contact with the little beasts and move away. What are you telling them when you make eye contact? “I can see you. I know you’re there. I can pick you out of a police line-up. I am not a sheep. If you mess with me, I will kick your ass!”

But here’s the problem, most of you reading this article are sheep. You stand on the hill and go “Baa!” as you’re being slaughtered. Here’s the skinny. Sheephood is a choice. Sure, some of us are naturally more aggressive than others. We’re jam-packed with testosterone and attitude, and we’d just as soon shoot a bad guy as look at them. If you’re a sheep, start your transition to warrior right now!

3. Get some training. I recommend some basic hand-to-hand tactics you can practice at home. You don’t need a black belt in karate to foil an attacker. Most of us don’t have that much time, and many of the martial arts are more “art form” and less practical for use in the real world. Focus on learning just a few hand-to-hand techniques that you can master in a short amount of time. All you need is just a few seconds of delaying tactics in order to get out your gun and bring it into play.

4. Buy a gun! That’s right. I used the “G” word. Buy a gun. Learn to use it safely. (Safe for you, but dangerous for the bad guy.) Author’s Note: I’m not a lawyer and I’m not giving you legal advice. Take the time to research all local, state and federal firearms laws before gunning down your attacker. But, since I am an NRA Advanced Defensive Pistol Instructor, I will give you some tactical advice. For best results in self defense, I recommend two shots to the chest and one to the head. When facing multiple attackers treat it like a zone defense in basketball. Shoot the greatest threat first. Chances are you won’t have to shoot them all as they’ll be knocking each other down in a futile effort to outrun your bullets.

5. Get some advanced defensive pistol tactical training. It’s not enough to be a good shot. You have to be capable of delivering multiple kill shots while under extreme duress. When teaching advanced pistol classes I always add the element of stress in an effort to raise heart rate and cause an adrenaline dump into the bloodstream. Don’t take sissified gun classes where you stand there and plink at typing paper. Move, shoot and live! Most of my practice these days is point shooting within ten feet. There’s no such thing as a long-distance knock-out punch. If you have to use your firearm you’ll be up close and personal.

6. Get a very good lawyer. If you follow my advice and you have the misfortune of being second-guessed, you’re going to need excellent counsel. Ask George Zimmerman. He’ll tell you. America is a very just land, and you can have as much justice as you can afford. Do what I did. Join one of the many legal defense networks out there. I recommend two: Armed Citizens’ Legal Defense Network, Inc. and also Self Defense Shield by the United States Concealed Carry Association. Both will serve you well and are affordable by most. Don’t wait until after a shooting. Be prepared in all aspects.

Okay, by now some of you are shaking your head and calling me a bloodthirsty, insensitive animal. I don’t care. Tell that to English teacher Jim Addlespurger in Pittsburg who was knocked out with one punch when leaving his school. Tell that to the seventy-eight-year-old woman in Brooklyn who was sucker punched when she stepped off her porch. They were no doubt sensitive to the point of kissing the pavement.

If being sensitive means I have to take a punch to the face which may seriously injure me or kill me, then to hell with sensitivity. If you wind up to punch me, I’ll be watching, and I will fight back. The Coryell household is a “no-sheep zone”. We are armed and dangerous and we don’t care about your poor potty training or whatever other sorry, pitiful liberal sob story you have. We are trained. So get the hell off my lawn!

Race Crime-TNB In Brooklyn: “Get That White Whore!,” “Get Those Crackers!” As They Beat White Couple

Sons of Obama just doing what they do on any given Sunday.  Why are white people still not armed?  Because the complicit, Bolshevik media hides these crimes and whites have no idea they are the target.  Get armed white people.

A group of 10 black youths — one of them a 12-year-old girl — surrounded a white couple’s car in Brooklyn, viciously beating the husband and yanking the wife to the pavement by her hair as they peppered the two with racial slurs, authorities said.

“Get those crackers!” some of them screamed, according to court papers. “Get that white whore!”

MSNBC: NRA Chief Wayne LaPierre ‘Afraid of Dark People’

This is from Breitbart’s Big Journalism.

Here comes the race card once more.

I am damned tired of the race card.

At one time it may have meant something.

The left and Obama have over played the race car.

Once again MSNBC has accused the National Rifle Association of being racists. Now host Alex Wagner claimed that NRA chief Wayne LaPierre employed coded racism in a recent op-ed he wrote.

MSNBC, for the second time on Thursday, smeared the National Rifle Association as racist, trashing the gun group’s president as appealing to bigotry. Now host Alex Wagner read from an op-ed by Wayne LaPierre in which he argues that owning a gun is the only real protection from crime, looting and riots. Specifically, LaPierre mentioned the aftermath to Hurricane Sandy and looting in Brooklyn.

Wagner quoted LaPierre: “Hurricanes, tornadoes, riots, terrorists, gangs, lone criminals, these are the perils we are sure to face. Not just maybe. It’s not paranoia to buy a gun. It’s survival.” She then sneered, “There’s also a lot of racial– racism imbedded in that full statement.” [MP3 audio here.]Novelist and guest Kurt Andersen mocked, “There were, not only not looters in south Brooklyn. Everybody was out helping everybody else…It was the opposite of that description.” Except that there was looting in Brooklyn during Hurricane Sandy.

The Huffington Post featured pictures. Writer Andy Campbell explained:

At about 8 a.m. on Tuesday, workers arrived at Mega Aid Pharmacy to find that not only had Hurricane Sandy obliterated the building’s interior the night before, but thieves had broken in and gone through more than 10,000 pharmaceutical items. Most of the stolen goods were prescription meds.

The New York Post documented looting there, too.

Wagner actively distorted what LaPierre said, describing his words as “dark nights with dark people in Brooklyn.

Earlier, on Morning Joe, so-called conservative Joe Scarborough ranted about LaPierre’s “racial overtones.”

A transcript of the February 14 segment is below:

ALEX WAGNER: His press conference in the wake of the Newtown tragedy constituted one of the most tone deaf events in repeat memory. Now, NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre is taking it to a new lunar level of insanity with a screed on the conservative Daily Caller website, writing, “Hurricanes, tornadoes, riots, terrorists, gangs, lone criminals, these are the perils we are sure to face. Not just maybe. It’s not paranoia to buy a gun. It’s survival.” LaPierre continues, “After Hurricane Sandy, we saw the hellish world that gun prohibitionists see as their utopia. Looters ran wild in south Brooklyn. There was no food, water, or electricity, and if you wanted to walk several miles to get supplies, you better get back before dark or you might not get home at all.” The finale: “We will not surrender. We will not appease. We will buy more guns than ever.” Kurt, as a resident of south Brooklyn, was that– Was that your utopia?

KURT ANDERSEN (Author, True Believers): Fortunately, I have guns, so I was able to– no. Why should I be alarmed and amazed at the factual profound factual inaccuracies here. There were, not only looters in south Brooklyn. Everybody was out helping everybody else. It was morning in America. Yes, there was no electricity for a while. But, you know, it was the opposite of that description, if he wants to have some post-on post-apocalyptic nightmare. That line of “and we will buy more guns” to me is the most bonkers much the whole thing. I mean, because it bespeaks of fetishism of “I need more guns.”

WAGNER: It’s like a child beating its hands.

ANDERSEN: And, by the way, to the degree the NRA is a gun industry organization, that’s just, yes, buy more guns.

WAGNER: Joy, there’s also a lot of racial– racism imbedded in that full statement. He goes on to impugn Latin America as these kind of dark nights with dark people in Brooklyn.

JOY REID: That’s right. I don’t know how he missed the zombies because there were also zombies. And you know, I don’t understand how they even survived in south Brooklyn. I think he was talking about south Brooklyn of the 1980s. He has this vision of brown and black people running around looting and burning and we have to get guns to shoot them.

If Adam Lanza Killed Black Kids We Probably Wouldn’t Be Talking About Guns

This is from Town Hall.

You can see why MSNBC‘s ratings are in the sewer.

I can not imagine how warped your brain is to think this way.

But this is the warped way liberal minds work.

That MSNBC host would be the one and only Touré who was responding to a section in Wayne LaPierre’s recent article on The Daily Caller. The NRA chief was discussing the various reasons law-abiding citizens need a firearm, including after a natural disaster.

“After Hurricane Sandy, we saw the hellish world that the gun prohibitionists see as their utopia. Looters ran wild in south Brooklyn. There was no food, water or electricity. And if you wanted to walk several miles to get supplies, you better get back before dark, or you might not get home at all.”

And just like that, Touré’s racism radar went off.

“Perhaps we know Wayne LaPierre is wrong about good guys and bad guys and guns. I’m sure many of us find him hard to trust given his obvious use of racial demonization to spread fear that will lead to buying guns. In his recent editorial in the Daily Caller, he spoke of supposedly rampant crime and murder in some place he called South Brooklyn in the days after Hurricane Sandy. Put aside that no reporting bears that out, I live in Brooklyn, and I have for a long time, and there is no place referred to as South Brooklyn. But I think it’s safe to say that when he says that, much of the country envisions a place clogged with black people.

Now if Adam Lanza had walked into a black public school in this mythical South Brooklyn or in the Southside of Chicago, we would probably not be having a sustained national conversation about guns.Adam just smushed the pain of the gun epidemic in America’s face, but black people have been living with that pain for so long we’re numb to it. We’re rightly outraged by interracial killings, but black on black crime is a far more prevalent problem.”

He does have a point though. If Adam Lanza, a white male, had walked into a black public school and massacred 26 children and teachers, we’d be talking about racism. But that would be only part of the national conversation. Many have argued the reason the president’s real push for gun control came after Sandy Hook rather than Aurora is because it was in his second term. While this may be true, I’d also argue the public’s outrage and many people’s emotional draw toward gun control stems from the fact that the majority of victims were innocent children. Moreover, they were victimized in an elementary school–one of the safest places young people can be. This has nothing to do with race.

That being said, however, black on black crime is a far more prevalent problem—so in that sense, Touré’s right. If we are to stick with his example of the Southside of Chicago though, we can see that more gun control isn’t the answer. Guns are an easy target for progressives but it’s time people stop overlooking the many reasons people choose to the pull the trigger.

As a side note, NewsBusters’ Noel Sheppard points out there really is such a thing as South Brooklyn and he just happened to find a HuffPo article titled, “Hurricane Sandy Looting, Fights Plague South Brooklyn.” Hmm.

“It’s getting dark, and it’s real dangerous out here — that’s why there’s a cop on every block,” one NYPD officer told HuffPost Crime. “You could get your stuff stolen.” […]

Dena Wells, 39, a resident of Ocean Towers, had had enough after watching the melee.

“People are turning on each other — they’re attacking each other,” she said, shaking her head. “Even when there’s no disaster, this building is disastrous. But after the hurricane, it just got crazy.”

Don’t expect an apology from Touré.

City hikes taxes on Sandy-hit houses

This is from The New York Post.

The warped brain of Liberals consider this tax hike is needed.

Insult has been added to the injury suffered by the Sandy victims.

Homeowners in an exclusive waterfront enclave in Brooklyn thought Hurricane Sandy was as cruel a blow as they could suffer — until the taxman proved them wrong.

The city is claiming that property values have actually shot up for many homes in Manhattan Beach and it’s going ahead with hefty tax hikes for the houses devastated by the October superstorm, shocked property owners told The Post.

Homeowners in other neighborhoods hit by Sandy, including Coney Island, the Rockaways and parts of Staten Island, also said they’ve received increases.

“This is totally insensitive and heartless,” said Ira Zalcman, president of the Manhattan Beach Community Group, which has received more than 30 complaints from residents about the hikes.

Paul Martinka

“We just sustained one of the worst national disasters in our nation’s history, and now the city is delusional, claiming our property values went up.”

Zalcman said that since Sandy, he has spent roughly $100,000 repairing the basement of his Dover Street oceanfront home, for which he pays more than $7,000 a year in property taxes.

He estimates his tax bill will go up nearly $200 for the fiscal year beginning July 1 because the city claims his property’s market value rose by $79,000 to slightly more than $2 million, increasing the home’s assessed value for tax purposes. He claims he’d be lucky to get $1.5 million.

Meanwhile, other owners facing tax hikes say their homes are so badly damaged, they have yet to complete repairs and move back.

One oceanfront home, at 295 Dover St., still had its windows and doors boarded up yesterday. But the city says its market value has jumped $473,000 the past year to $3.1 million.

The owner, Olga Belenkaya, has yet to return because the home was so badly damaged by Sandy, neighbors said. Belenkaya did not return messages left on her cellphone.

Councilman Michael Nelson (D-Brooklyn), whose district includes hard-hit Manhattan Beach, Sheepshead Bay and Brighton Beach — called the tax hikes “heartless” and “something the city must immediately remedy.”

“Common sense dictates their property values have fallen, if not plummeted in some cases,” he said.

Stephen “Butch” Moran, vice chairman of Community Board 13, said he’s “shocked” his taxes are going up for one of the homes he owns in Sheepshead Bay and Seagate, where Sandy left him with $300,000 worth of combined repairs.

“How do you increase taxes for people who no longer have 100 percent of their homes remaining?” he said.

Finance Department spokesman Owen Stone said any tax hikes are part of a capped, state-approved five-year formula for setting assessment levels.

Property owners who oppose the hikes have until March 15 to appeal to the city Tax Commission before rates are finalized in May.

But lawyer Alex Singer, who estimates he has spent “well over $100,000” fixing damage to his Manhattan Beach home after it was partly engulfed by seawater and raw sewage, said “it’s unconscionable” that the city didn’t just lower tax rates across the board in Sandy-ravaged neighborhoods.

“It’s a matter of principle,” said Singer, 67, who was hit with a $56 increase on his yearly tax bill of $7,388 for the Girard Street home he has shared with wife Linda since 1975.

Singer and other neighborhood residents were especially peeved because their property-value notices, predated Jan. 15, didn’t arrive until the first week of this month. The notices included an outdated memo informing homeowners that they had until Feb. 1 to apply for assistance through the Finance Department’s new Hurricane Sandy Property Tax Relief program.

Stone, of the Finance Department, said that the program’s application deadline has been pushed back to Feb. 15, but added that the program has been available since late November.

He said his agency is reviewing 2,900 applications citywide.
