David Letterman Recounts Marine’s Injuries at the Hands of Muslim Jihadists & Leaves Audience Speechless

This is from Freedom OutPost.

I want to say Bravo and Thank-you to David Letterman for having Medal of Honor Recipient Cpl. Kyle Carpenter on his show and allowing him to tell his story.

Medal of Honor Recipient Cpl. Kyle Carpenter, a US Marine, had his injuries described which he suffered at the hands of Muslim jihadists in Afghanistan to the audience of David Letterman on his television show last year. The audience was speechless, and you will be too.
Letterman said that he wanted to highlight the injuries suffered by Cpl. Carpenter and the Marine jokingly said, “I’m not hiding it from anybody.”

The injuries suffered by Cpl. Carpenter as a result of an enemy grenade attack were as follows:

  • Countless shattered bones throughout the body (30 just in his right arm) Carpenter joked about it, “I’m an overachiever.”
  • Shrapnel in both legs
  • Carotid artery in neck (punctured)
  • Both eardrums ruptured
  • Lost most of his teeth
  • Collapsed right lung
  • Lost most of his jaw
  • Lost vision in right eye
  • Brain surgery to remove shrapnel
  • Fractured skull
  • Flatlined three times

In fact, not only did he flatline three times, but they assumed that he was dead at the scene of the explosion. He was labeled as PEA (Patient Expired on Arrival) as he was brought to Camp Bastion.

Carpenter had received some 40 surgeries, over a two and half year period, at the time of the Letterman interview, which was conducted in June of last year.

However, Cpl. Carpenter, who trained heavily to compete in the Marine Corps Marathon, became the second Marine since the Vietnam War to receive the Medal of Honor.

Most of Cpl. Carpenter’s face, from the eyes down, is facial reconstruction. He made no hesitation in crediting Walter Reed hospital and the physicians there with what they had done to help him.

His first memories after the grenade attack were five weeks later, when he awakened to see his mother had outfitted his room to fit the Christmas holiday.

Letterman, not knowing what to say, said, “Thank you for your sacrifice. I hope my son does not ever has to go through what you’ve gone through, but in some way, I hope he is able to manifest the same courage.”

While we can debate the constitutionality of wars in the Middle East and our involvement there, one thing should stand out from what Cpl. Carpenter has endured: His sacrifice.

He was willing to put his life on the line for the America he loves against an enemy with an ideology that is at war with the God of Heaven. He laid his body down fighting for the American people against America’s enemies. Is there no one that can see what our Lord Jesus did for His people in the suffering of this young Marine? I’m not trying to equate the two, but what I am saying is that there is sacrifice that is demonstrated in the physical world, that is a picture of what Christ did. Cpl. Carpenter laid down his life, believing that he was fighting to defend the freedom and lives of the American people.

Jesus Christ laid down his life for sinners (enemies with an ideology that is against the God of Heaven) to give them freedom from sin. Now, I ask you, if you are moved by the sacrifice of Cpl. Kyle Carpenter, why should you not be even more moved to obey your Creator who gave His own Son on your behalf? Why will your rebel against such a sacrifice as the Christ laid down to save you from sin? If you continue to do such things, are you not spitting in the face of the true demonstration of love (1 John 3:18; John 15:13)?

Rush Claims CBS’s Choice of Colbert is a ‘war on heartland of America’

This comes from The Prescription For America.

Rush is 100% correct the left is at war with America’s Heartland

Here in America’s does not believe in the nonsense the left is trying to shove down our throats.

We believe the God,Guts and Guns made this country.

We believe We are One Nation Under God.

If we forget that we are one nation gone under.

Rush Limbaugh has blasted the hiring of Stephen Colbert as David Letterman’s Late Night replacement and says that it should be viewed as an attack on Republicans.

‘CBS has just declared war on the heartland of America,’ the conservative radio personality said after the hiring was confirmed on Thursday.

Colbert shot to national fame in his satirical eponymous show, and though the character he plays has his same name, it is a parody of right-wing television hosts.

As such, he uses the comedy on the show to criticize many conservative issues by playing such an outlandish character.

‘No longer is comedy going to be a covert assault on traditional American values, conservatism. Now it’s just wide out in the open,’ Limbaugh said.

Ted Nugent – Five Reasons Why He Always Wins!

This is from Clash Daily.

I must say there is nothing lazy about Uncle Ted.

He knows you to destroy the looney left.

In the past four years I’ve done hundreds of interviews. I enjoy the friendly ones. They’re always easy, because I’m preaching to the choir, in most cases with a fellow patriot who knows which end of the barrel the round comes out. On the other hand, I deplore debating gun-grabbing liberals. They make me so mad I want to reach over and strangle them with their own forked tongues. (Now that’s a slippery proposition.)

But I’m afraid debating liberals is a necessary evil these days, especially when so much is at stake. So, in an attempt to better my game, I went to the one man who absolutely enjoys, relishes and anticipates making mincemeat from liberal, gun-grabbing interviewers.

That’s right. I called Ted Nugent.

My question to Ted was simple and straightforward.

“When you debate, I’ve noticed you never lose. Any bits of advice you can give to people who want to get better at taking on liberals?”

And then Ted Nugent took me to school. Here’s what I learned.

Ted’s advice: “I’m sure you’ve studied the definitive slaughter of the anti’s on my destruction of them every time on YouTube, etc, but one must have lived and studied the gun world forever to calmly and factually gut their lies. Recommend anyone who wishes to do so to study any of my examples. Be prepared with the unlimited history of facts, stats and evidence. Know all the examples that crush their lies and support our truth. Remain calm and in control never escalating any more than necessary to be drowned out, but never getting hyper. Let the other side speak, then annihilate their bulls**t.”

Okay, so let’s break that down.

Lesson #1- Take no prisoners

“The definitive slaughter of the anti’s”.
When Ted Nugent is being interviewed by an anti-gunner, he doesn’t take prisoners. It reminds me of his 2010 touring season slogan a few years ago “Trample the Weak – Hurdle the Dead”. It’s quite entertaining to watch Ted Nugent destroy his debate opponent, because, in reality, they just don’t get it. To the liberal, he’s in a debate. But to Ted Nugent, this isn’t a debate – this is a cage match, and only one man walks out alive!

Lesson #2 – Know guns and know the facts, calmly and factually gut their lies.”

“[O]ne must have lived and studied the gun world forever”

I almost felt sorry for Piers Morgan when he debated Ted on gun control. (Almost) Because Piers doesn’t know the facts – only tired worn-out rhetoric – and the Nuge methodically dismantled him. It was like Piers Morgan was a baby Harp Seal and Ted was standing over him with a club with that classic “I’m gonna eat you for breakfast” grin on his face. The outcome was predictable. Ted knows guns intimately. He eats, breathes and lives the lifestyle. The sum of all Piers Morgan’s gun knowledge could comfortably fit inside a .22 caliber empty brass.

Lesson #3 – Study hard and do your homework

“Recommend anyone who wishes to do so to study any of my examples. Be prepared with the unlimited history of facts, stats and evidence. Know all the examples that crush their lies and support our truth.”

Anti-gunner’s have this knack for pulling pseudo-facts out of their rectums. Kind of like this: “So, tell me, seventy-one kids died yesterday due to gun violence. Based on that, how could you be so heartless as to reject common sense gun-control measures?” Ted Nugent not only knows the facts, but he also knows the origins of the lies his opponent is spouting. He has it all memorized, so it comes out quicker than Anthony’s Weiner.

Lesson #4 – Stay in control

“Remain calm and in control never escalating any more than necessary to avoid being drowned out, but never getting hyper.”

This reminds me of that classic line by Patrick Swayze in the movie Roadhouse. You all know it: “Be nice. Until it’s time to – not be nice.” This is the one I have the most trouble with. It’s hard to stay calm when ignorant, self-serving trash is bad-mouthing you and the freedom you hold dear. I guess that’s why I write more than I talk. In the seclusion and privacy of my office I can rant and scream and foam at the mouth for three days, then calm down and write eloquently for an hour and it’s all good. Just remember – when they get you riled they have control.

Lesson #5 – Humor and charm

Ted Nugent is the master of humor and charm. He has this way of calling you an ignorant ass and then chuckling to himself as you laugh at your own expense. It’s amazing. I don’t know how he does it.

Perhaps it’s just “who he is”. I went back to the early 1980s and watched a video of Ted being interviewed by David Letterman. Even young Ted was filled with humor and charm. Letterman asked him the loaded question of how he sold so many records despite the small amount of air time his songs get on the radio. Ted just put on his patent Cheshire smile as he referred to Cat Scratch Fever as the greatest love song ever written and replied, “There’s a lot of wimps out there.”

So, there you have it – five lessons I learned from Ted Nugent on debating anti-gun liberals. Now I’m not saying if you do all these things you’ll be as good as Ted Nugent – because you won’t. After all, there’s only one Ted. And who else but Ted can get away with telling Piers Morgan to “Suck on my machine gun!” Who else can say Ted Kennedy is deranged? I once watched as Ted Nugent cradled a reporter’s face in his hands and turned it toward the camera. In classic Ted audacity and confidence he said, “Now, please tell the audience why you’re such a lying bastard.”

You and I would be arrested, but not Ted Nugent. Ted is special, a national Second Amendment treasure. And, quite frankly, he scares the hell out of liberals.

Letterman suggests Romney didn’t pay taxes, calls him a “felon”

This is from Fox News Politics.

A long time ago David Letterman was funny.

I used to watch him from time to time.

Now he is a bitter and angry old has been.

Late night TV host David Letterman has suggested that Mitt Romney is a “felon” because he does not pay income tax, despite the Republican presidential nominee recently releasing IRS documents showing he paid nearly $2 million just in 2011.

Letterman, host of CBS’ “Late Show,” made the statement Friday night when telling the audience about a recent poll on what Americans would most like to see, reported first by the website NewsBusters.

Letterman said that 6 percent of Americans wanted to see Romney’s tax returns.

“Yeah, we want to get a look at those tax returns because I believe we will discover that the man has not paid a nickel in United States federal income tax,” Letterman said. “That’s right, we have a felon running for president.”

Letterman’s comment was similar to one made this summer by Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutters.

Cutter suggested in July that if Romney misrepresented on federal documents when he left his company Bain Capital, that would be a “felony.”

In July, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada), citing an anonymous source, accused Romney of not paying any taxes for 10 years. Reid has not revealed where he got his information.

Meanwhile, a letter from Price Waterhouse Coopers states that Romney paid an average of 20 percent in taxes every year from 1999 to 2009.
