Boom US Senate Candidate Nick Freitas dropped an epic truth bomb.

US Senate Candidate Nick Freitas dropped an epic truth bomb on the debate over our Second Amendment rights.

His speech is masterfully done and is something you definitely want to take notes on, because it is the best way to refute a gun-controllers argument.

The left likes to use false narratives and distort historical truths around our liberty to “bear arms,” Freitas destroys each one here.

Guess what else? He is running against Hillary Clinton’s VP pick, Tim Kaine. Hopefully he gets Kaine’s seat this coming election!

Gun-Control Fact Sheet: If There are Any Facts to Refute the Gun-Control Argument, It’s These

H/T Girls Just Wanna Have Guns.

As Sergeant Joe Friday used to say “Just The Facts” but the facts do not matter to the gun grabbing crowd.

Editor’s Note: Take notes and bookmark this link! This list gives you enough facts to demolish the gun-control argument for years to come.

Article was originally published on July 17, 2014.

1. Highlights

* Guns are used 2.5 million times a year in self-defense. Law-abiding citizens use guns to defend themselves against criminals as many as 2.5 million times every year—or about 6,850 times a day.(1) This means that each year, firearms are used more than 80 times more often to protect the lives of honest citizens than to take lives.(2)

* Even anti-gun Clinton researchers concede that guns are used 1.5 million times annually for self-defense. According to the Clinton Justice Department, there are as many as 1.5 million cases of self-defense with a firearm every year. The National Institute of Justice published this figure in 1997 as part of “Guns in America”—a study which was authored by noted anti-gun criminologists Philip Cook and Jens Ludwig.(3)

* Concealed carry laws have reduced murder and crime rates in the states that have enacted them. According to a comprehensive study which reviewed crime statistics in every county in the United States from 1977 to 1992, states which passed concealed carry laws reduced their rate of murder by 8.5%, rape by 5%, aggravated assault by 7% and robbery by 3%.(4)

* Anti-gun journal pronounces the failure of the Brady law. One of the nation’s leading anti-gun medical publications, the Journal of the American Medical Association, found that the Brady registration law has failed to reduce murder rates. In August 2000, JAMA reported that states implementing waiting periods and background checks did “not [experience] reductions in homicide rates or overall suicide rates.”(5)

* Twice as many children are killed playing football in school than are murdered by guns. That’s right. Despite what media coverage might seem to indicate, there are more deaths related to high school football than guns. In a recent three year period, twice as many football players died from hits to the head, heat stroke, etc. (45), as compared with students who were murdered by firearms (22) during that same time period.(6)

* More guns, less crime. In the decade of the 1990s, the number of guns in this country increased by roughly 40 million—even while the murder rate decreased by almost 40% percent.7 Accidental gun deaths in the home decreased by almost 40 percent as well.(8)

* CDC admits there is no evidence that gun control reduces crime. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has long been criticized for propagating questionable studies which gun control organizations have used in defense of their cause. But after analyzing 51 studies in 2003, the CDC concluded that the “evidence was insufficient to determine the effectiveness of any of these [firearms] laws.”(9)

* Gun shows are NOT a primary source of illegal guns for criminals. According to two government studies, the National Institute of Justice reported in 1997 that “less than two percent [of criminals] reported obtaining [firearms] from a gun show.”(10) And the Bureau of Justice Statistics revealed in 2001 that less than one percent of firearm offenders acquired their weapons at gun shows.(11)

* Several polls show that Americans are very pro-gun. Several scientific polls indicate that the right to keep and bear arms is still revered—and gun control disdained—by a majority of Americans today. To mention just a few recent polls:

* In 2002, an ABC News poll found that almost three-fourths of the American public believe that the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects the rights of “individuals” to own guns.(12)

* Zogby pollsters found that by a more than 3 to 1 margin, Americans support punishing “criminals who use a gun in the commission of a crime” over legislation to “ban handguns.”(13)

* A Research 2000 poll found that 85% of Americans would find it appropriate for a principal or teacher to use “a gun at school to defend the lives of students” to stop a school massacre.(14)

* A study claiming “guns are three times more likely to kill you than help you” is a total fraud. Even using the low figures from the Clinton Justice Department, firearms are used almost 50 times more often to save life than to take life.(15) More importantly, however, the figure claiming one is three times more likely to be killed by one’s own gun is a total lie:

* Researcher Don Kates reveals that all available data now indicates that the “home gun homicide victims [in the flawed study] were killed using guns not kept in the victim’s home.”(16)

* In other words, the victims were NOT murdered with their own guns! They were killed “by intruders who brought their own guns to the victim’s household.”(17)

* Gun-free England not such a utopia after all. According to the BBC News, handgun crime in the United Kingdom rose by 40% in the two years after it passed its draconian gun ban in 1997.(18) And according to a United Nations study, British citizens are more likely to become a victim of crime than are people in the United States. The 2000 report shows that the crime rate in England is higher than the crime rates of 16 other industrialized nations, including the United States.(19)

2. Self-defense

A. Guns save more lives than they take; prevent more injuries than they inflict

* Guns are used 2.5 million times a year in self-defense. Law-abiding citizens use guns to defend themselves against criminals as many as 2.5 million times every year—or about 6,850 times a day.(20) This means that each year, firearms are used more than 80 times more often to protect the lives of honest citizens than to take lives.(21)

* Of the 2.5 million times citizens use their guns to defend themselves every year, the overwhelming majority merely brandish their gun or fire a warning shot to scare off their attackers. Less than 8% of the time, a citizen will kill or wound his/her attacker.(22)

* As many as 200,000 women use a gun every year to defend themselves against sexual abuse.(23)

* Even anti-gun Clinton researchers concede that guns are used 1.5 million times annually for self-defense. According to the Clinton Justice Department, there are as many as 1.5 million cases of self-defense with a firearm every year. The National Institute of Justice published this figure in 1997 as part of “Guns in America”—a study which was authored by noted anti-gun criminologists Philip Cook and Jens Ludwig.(24)

* Armed citizens kill more crooks than do the police. Citizens shoot and kill at least twice as many criminals as police do every year (1,527 to 606)(25). And readers of Newsweek learned that “only 2 percent of civilian shootings involved an innocent person mistakenly identified as a criminal. The ‘error rate’ for the police, however, was 11 percent, more than five times as high.”(26)

* Handguns are the weapon of choice for self-defense. Citizens use handguns to protect themselves over 1.9 million times a year.(27) Many of these self-defense handguns could be labeled as “Saturday Night Specials.”

B. Concealed carry laws help reduce crime

* Nationwide: one-half million self-defense uses. Every year, as many as one-half million citizens defend themselves with a firearm away from home.(28)

* Concealed carry laws are dropping crime rates across the country. A comprehensive national study determined in 1996 that violent crime fell after states made it legal to carry concealed firearms. The results of the study showed:

* States which passed concealed carry laws reduced their rate of murder by 8.5%, rape by 5%, aggravated assault by 7% and robbery by 3%;(29) and

* If those states not having concealed carry laws had adopted such laws in 1992, then approximately 1,570 murders, 4,177 rapes, 60,000 aggravated assaults and over 11,000 robberies would have been avoided yearly.(30)

* Vermont: one of the safest five states in the country. In Vermont, citizens can carry a firearm without getting permission . . . without paying a fee . . . or without going through any kind of government-imposed waiting period. And yet for ten years in a row, Vermont has remained one of the top-five, safest states in the union—having three times received the “Safest State Award.”(31)

* Florida: concealed carry helps slash the murder rate in the state. In the fifteen years following the passage of Florida’s concealed carry law in 1987, over 800,000 permits to carry firearms were issued to people in the state.(32) FBI reports show that the homicide rate in Florida, which in 1987 was much higher than the national average, fell 52% during that 15-year period—thus putting the Florida rate below the national average.(33)

* Do firearms carry laws result in chaos? No. Consider the case of Florida. A citizen in the Sunshine State is far more likely to be attacked by an alligator than to be assaulted by a concealed carry holder.

* During the first fifteen years that the Florida law was in effect, alligator attacks outpaced the number of crimes committed by carry holders by a 229 to 155 margin.(34)

* And even the 155 “crimes” committed by concealed carry permit holders are somewhat misleading as most of these infractions resulted from Floridians who accidentally carried their firearms into restricted areas, such as an airport.(35)

* Concealed Carry v. Waiting Period Laws. In 1976, both Georgia and Wisconsin tried two different approaches to fighting crime. Georgia enacted legislation making it easier for citizens to carry guns for self-defense, while Wisconsin passed a law requiring a 48 hour waiting period before the purchase of a handgun. What resulted during the ensuing years? Georgia’s law served as a deterrent to criminals and helped drop its homicide rate by 21 percent. Wisconsin’s murder rate, however, rose 33 percent during the same period.(36)

One School has Armed Their Staff with Guns After Florida Shooting — Good Idea?

H/T Girls Just Wanna Have Guns.

I think all teachers should be trained and armed and if teachers do not want to be armed then get retired veterans and police officers.

Gun controllers have been preaching stricter policies to stop mass shootings after the massacre that occurred on Valentine’s Day at  Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Among them are politicians, activists and even a few of the students who survived the shooting. However, other schools have taken a different approach to protect their kids.

A parochial school in New Mexico has deduced it is safer for the students if their staff are armed and ready to fire, should a mass shooting occur.

One pastor at the school carries a .45 around campus in a case that looks like a Bible. Don’t count out the principle either, who is armed with a .38.

One School has Armed Their Staff with Guns After Florida Shooting — Good Idea?

Inside Edition asked the students there if they felt safer with armed teachers at the school, interestingly enough the entire class room said yes.

More state lawmakers are taking the approach to arming school faculty.

Colorado House Minority Leader Patrick Neville, a survivor of the 1999 mass shooting at Columbine High School, introduced “a bill that will allow concealed carry permit holders to enter school buildings with their firearms,” reports IJR.

“This act would allow every law-abiding citizen who holds a concealed carry permit, issued from their chief law-enforcement officer, the right to carry concealed in order to defend themselves and most importantly our children from the worst-case scenarios,” Neville said.

He isn’t alone though.

Alabama, Rep. Will Ainsworth (R) is doing the same. His bill will also give teachers the freedom to carry on campus.

“Our kids are literally sitting ducks,” he said. “You saw the video online of kids having to hide behind desks they were literally defenseless. That’s where this came from.”

MSNBC Anchor Joy Reid Claims Media Favorability for Republicans is Only Reason Democrats Look Bad — Yup

H/T Girls Just Wanna Have Guns.

I wonder what kind of drugs Joy Reid is doing to be this delusional.

MSNBC Anchor Joy Reid attempted to pull a stunt none of us ever imagined would be possible. After the Democrats shut down the government in an attempt to reinstate Obama’s DACA program for illegal immigrants, Reid claims the only reason Democrats look bad for this is because of the media’s favorability for REPUBLICAN leaning media.

That’s real rich!

Considering the statistics out there, this news is completely fake.

The Harvard Kennedy School Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics, and Public Policy did a study on the press coverage of President Trump and the results was overwhelmingly negative: in the first 100 days of his administration, CNN and NBC covered bad news for Trump at a 13-1 rate over good news. That rate was paralleled by other left-leaning outlets.

To continue the La-La Land delusion Reid apparently lives in, she also thought that the Democrats won the shutdown.

YUP:

Important points by @Lawrence: there was much more orchestration going on behind the scenes by Democrats than you know. Schumer knew he would take the base hit, but he gave some of his “yes” voters important opportunities to nail McConnell on preventing funding to military etc.

Votes are only part of what Senators do. And smart Senate leaders take the arrows and give their vulnerable members ammunition for their home state politics. And the new deadline of February 8th is the CONTINUATION of this process. It ain’t over, folks.

Another important point by @ezraklein that I also made in my @thedailybeast column: there’s no evidence that more shutdown time would have moved Republican votes on DACA. On the contrary, they chose to dig in & whip their base into an anti-immigrant frenzy https://www.thedailybeast.com/democrats-bold-fold-shifts-the-pressure-on-to-trump-and-his-gop-enablers?ref=home

Over time, that frenzy would have grown, and energized the GOP base. Meanwhile, as the shutdown pain spread and stories of federal workers and others suffering proliferated, public opinion would likely have begun to turn against the DREAMers who currently enjoy sky high approval.

And if the gambit ultimately failed to produce a DACA bill, we’d be right where we are today anyway, with an angry Democratic base, but with the GOP still holding 9 million CHIP hostages.

And if the gambit ultimately failed to produce a DACA bill, we’d be right where we are today anyway, with an angry Democratic base, but with the GOP still holding 9 million CHIP hostages.

As it stands, the hostages are freed, the GOP can’t hide behind CHIP (or military funding, thanks to that epic soundbite Schumer and McCaskill got on McConnell) and McConnell is committed to bringing a bill to the floor or it’s shutdown number two, which neither party wants.

Who is this guy talking right now on ? The idea that it’s Democrats who lost something by having CHIP renewed is ludicrous. It was Republicans who were holding CHIP hostage. They lost their hostage.

Report: DHS to File Criminal Charges Against Sanctuary City Politicians

I want to see the DHS come down on these liberal loons is these sanctuary cities and states like the wrath of God.

Kirstjen Nielsen, the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has taken a step towards legal action against leaders of sanctuary cities for not complying with federal immigration authorities by requesting federal prosecutors at the Justice Department (DOJ) to review what criminal charges can be brought against them.

On Tuesday Nielsen told the Senate Judiciary Committee that the Department of Justice “is reviewing what avenues may be available,” as reported by Fox News.

“We’ve got to start charging some of these politicians with crimes,” said Tom Homan, the acting director for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), during an interview with Neil Cavuto on January 2.

The Daily Wire reports, “Lawrence Democratic Mayor Dan Rivera said that the threat makes him ‘laugh,’ adding that the notion of filing criminal charges against him are ‘foolish’ because he is a ‘war vet.’”

Democratic Mayor Martin J. Walsh of Boston replied to this threat stating, “We are a city that values and respects immigrants, and Boston will keep standing by its immigrant community.”

Of course President Donald Trump has said his two-cents on what he thinks about Democrats protecting criminal illegal aliens in sanctuary cities. Back in October 2017:

Winning: Hamas Leader Accidentally Shoots Himself

I hope this goat humping bastard assumes room temperature.

Fawzi Barhoum, who is the spokesman for the terrorist organization Hamas, announced that Imad al-Alami, 62, is in critical condition after he accidentally shot himself in the head.

Al-Alami was arrested back in 1991 by Israel after he was held responsible for orchestrating terror activities for Hamas. According to the report he was inspecting his weapon when it fired, on Tuesday.

“Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Ashraf al-Qidre said al-Alami is being treated at the intensive care unit in Gaza City’s Shifa Hospital and that his condition is critical,” reports the Times of Israel.

Al-Alami, a founder of the terror organization, is the mediator between Hamas and its supporters of the Iranian government.

In 1994 he was kicked out of Israel, and went from there to represent Hamas in Iran, until he migrated to Damascus in 2008. By 2012 al-Alami was back in Gaza and elected as deputy Hamas leader.

“In 2014, during Operation Protective Edge when Israel went to war with Hamas after members of Hamas first murdered three Jewish teenagers, then struck Israel with rockets after Israel arrested Hamas leaders, unknown perpetrators broke al-Alami’s legs, reportedly by throwing him from a high place,” stated the Daily Wire. “There were rumors that al-Alami was fighting an internecine battle with senior Hamas official Fathi Hamad.”

Via Foreign PolicyNot only was Alami on the list of the original six Hamas officials designated terrorists by the U.S. government in 2003, he is also the point man for all of Hamas’s relations with Iran and its proxies.

He’s made countless trips to Iran, a country that has provided Hamas with military training and billions of dollars in financial and material aid. … Alami has had a close and continuing working relationship with Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah for over 20 years.

Poll: Should NFL Fans Get a Refund if Players Kneel During Anthem?

H/T Girls Just Wanna Have Guns.

I say Hell Yes give fans offended by these asshats a refund.

New legislation coming out of Indiana is proposing to give fans the right to a refund should they be offended if the Colts players decide to kneel during the anthem.

The man behind the new legislation is Republican Rep. Milo Smith. After attending a Colts game in September, where the players took a knee, he said the demonstration “didn’t sit right” with him.

“To me when they take a knee during the national anthem, it’s not respecting the national anthem or our country,” Smith said. “Our government isn’t perfect, but it’s still the best country in the world and I think we need to be respectful of it.”

Fox News reported, “Smith explained his proposed bill wouldn’t be breaking any laws as it wouldn’t stop players from kneeling, but would require the Colts to refund fans who wanted their money back. He also explained it wouldn’t require the team to refund sports fans if members of the opposing team were to kneel during The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Smith isn’t the only politician who is peeved by the Colts anthem protest. Vice President Mike Pence walked out of a Colts vs. San Francisco 49ers game back in October, after seeing the players take a knee.

This was the VP’s reaction after the demonstration:

I left today’s Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.

The New Orleans Saints team is already being sued for a refund by one fan. According to Fox News, “The fan is seeking attorney’s fees and a refund for his tickets, which The New Orleans Advocate reported cost around $8,000.

Trump Wins: Bill Moves Forward to Expose Congressional Sexual Harassers

H/T Girls Just Wanna Have Guns.

Everyone of these perverts need to be named then tossed out of Congress.

House lawmakers on Capitol Hill introduced new legislation on Wednesday that will expose those who have used taxpayer-funded secret settlements to address misconduct claims after a wave of outrage over sexual misconduct allegations have engulfed Washington, D.C. in recent weeks.

One of the bill’s sponsors, Hawaii Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, said enough is enough with politicians getting away with sexual misconduct.

“For far too long sexual predators have roamed freely through the halls of Congress — the people’s house — while survivors of sexual harassment and assault have essentially been isolated, bullied and shamed into silence,” Gabbard said.

Via Daily Wire

ORIGINAL POST:

If you want a reason the swamp hates President Donald Trump, this is one of them.

Trump told reporters, when leaving the White House for his Mar-a-Lago Thanksgiving holiday, that he believes that congressmen whom have already settled sexual harassment lawsuits should be reported to the public.

“I do. I really do. I think they should,” he said on the South Lawn of the White House.

Bizpac Review reported: It was revealed last week by Democrat Calif. Rep. Jackie Speier, that over the last 10 – 15 years around $15 million has been paid to victims of sexual harassment from members of the House of Representatives.

Rep. Speier did not name names of the accused, nor did she mention the names of two representatives she said were currently serving in the House, other than to say one was a Democrat and the other is a Republican.

But it was reported this week that one representative that has been accused of harassment, by several women, is Democrat Michigan Rep. John Conyers.

TAKE POLL BELOW

An investigation into the allegations against Conyers was announced almost immediately by the House Ethics Committee.

Due to the amount of public figures being outed for sexual harassment and assault, reporters were keen to know any details on Conyers, Alabama Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore and Democrat Minnesota Sen. Al Franken.

On Moore, President Trump said he would decide next week if he would campaign for the nominee “but I can tell you, you don’t need somebody who’s soft on crime, like (his Democrat opponent Doug) Jones.”

“Roy Moore denies it,” the president said. “That’s all I can say. He denies it. And, by the way, he totally denies it.”

On Sen. Franken, President Trump did not say the senator should resign due to the scandal.

“I don’t know,” he said. “look, I don’t want to speak for (Sen.) Al Franken. I don’t know what happened.”

Trump didn’t pile on Conyers either.

“I just heard about Conyers two minutes ago,” he said before going back Franken’s scandal. “As far as Franken is concerned, he’s going to have to speak for himself. I’d rather have him speak for himself.”

The president also gave support to the women who have been making these claims.

Women are very special,” he said. “I think it’s a very special time because a lot of things are coming out, and I think that’s good for our society, and I think it’s very, very good for women. And I’m very happy a lot of these things are coming out, and I’m very happy it’s being exposed.”

2,800 New Hillary Clinton Emails Recovered Off of Anthony Weiner’s Laptop

H/T Girls Just Wanna Have Guns.

Where are the investigations into this matter?

Why isn’t Hillary Huma and Anthony being questioned and possibly charged with crimes related to these emails?

Estranged husband of Huma Abedin, top Clinton aide, and recovering sex addict Anthony Weiner has a laptop that apparently is a gift that keeps on giving.

Another 2,800 Hillary Clinton emails were discovered on the device and sent over to the State Department. The FBI had to hand over the documents after a conservative watchdog group, Judicial Watch, sued the State Department for failing to respond to a Freedom of Information Act request.

“This is a disturbing development,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a press release, “Our experience with Abedin’s emails suggest these Weiner laptop documents will include classified and other sensitive materials.”

Judicial Watch is now pushing for the public release of these emails; asking for “All emails of official State Department business received or sent by former Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin from January 1, 2009 through February 1, 2013,” using a non-‘state.gov’ email address.

But that will take a while: In a joint status report signed off by Judicial Watch and the State Department, and dated last week, the State Department names the number of documents found on Weiner’s computer – 2,800 – and says it plans to have it review of those documents completed by December 31, 2017.

“Based on a preliminary review, the State Department expects that a significant portion of these documents may be duplicative of material already reviewed and processed,” the court document reads.

The president of the watchdog group believes Clinton, serving as Secretary of State, and Abedin, Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff, committed crimes for using a private email server to conduct government business. When this information was made public Hillary destroyed thousands of emails, bleach-bitting the majority of them and even smashing hard drives.

“When will the Justice Department do a serious investigation of Hillary Clinton’s and Huma Abedin’s obvious violations of law?” Fitton said.

Vegas Shooting: Dianne Feinstein Admits No Law Could Have Prevented Massacre [WATCH]

H/T Girls Just Wanna Have Guns.

In spite of this bit of truth spoken by DiFi it will not stop her and her ilk from pushing for more gun control of even trying to confiscate firearms.

It is truly amazing how the biggest gun controllers out there are admitting that no amount of law can stop a mass shooting, yet still propose legislation.

Enter Senator Dianne Feinstein.

WATCH INTERVIEW BELOW

The senator went on NBC’s Meet the Press in an effort to promote her ban on bump fire stocks. The Vegas massacre is still an open wound for many Americans, so naturally it would be the topic of discussion for an infamous gun control senator like Feinstein.

In the midst of the interview, Chuck Todd asked a simple question, “Let me ask you this. Give me the slate of laws that, if you could wave your wand and have enacted, that could have prevented Vegas?”

You would think someone like Feinstein would have been able to rattle off a list of enactments.

[In fact, she seemed completely dumbfounded such a question was asked.]

But of her career of 14yrs pushing gun control bills this is what she had to say, “I don’t know. I would have to take a good look at that and really study it. I’m not sure there is any set of laws that could have prevented it.”

Her ‘ignorance’ was of complete honesty. However much research the senator would do on the situation, if a bad person wants to commit a crime they will do it, no matter the law.

Yet, this reality has not settled in the noggin of most gun-grabbers, so they continue to introduce more legislation… and the cycle repeats itself.
