A big Second Amendment win in Wisconsin

This is from Joe For America.

I bet little Mikey Bloomberg is furious he failed to buy another election.

Take that Mike Bloomberg.  We all know how much Mike Bloomberg hates freedom and the Second Amendment.  He’s committed to, among other things, supporting politicians and ballot measures that will gut the Right to Bear Arms.  We are pleased to say that he’s on a solid losing streak.

His Mayors Against Illegal Guns and the Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America have morphed into a group called Everytown for Gun Safety.  Bloomberg has put up $50 million in the 2014 election cycle to support politicians and measures that will pave the way for confiscation of firearms as the government has done in Australia.

Bloomberg has some small wins.  He helped out with the Colorado and New Jersey magazine bans and was on-board with the very restrictive New York state firearm law.  Colorado didn’t work out so well for the anti-gunners, Magpul shut down operations and move to Texas and Montana and they’ve gotten a ton of hostile press.  There’s a very good chance that, if Republicans take the Senate in Colorado in November they’ll rescind the magazine ban.  Magpul won’t be back though.

Sheriff David Clarke, Sheriff of Milwaukee County Wisconsin was at the center of Bloomberg’s ire, and Mike put $150,000 into the Sheriff’s race against Clarke.  Bloomberg spent more money on the race than both candidates, and here’s why.

We love Sheriff Clarke.  When Joe Arpaio finally dies in office, we’d invite Clarke to move to Phoenix and get away from the cold winters, he’s a snow bird we’d love to host.

As you can tell by the comments from the interview, Clarke’s Protect Your Family PSA got people fired up and it made him a target for the anti-gunners like Bloomberg.  Add to that the fact that Milwaukee County is a Democratic stronghold in Wisconsin and you’ve got a recipe for a Bloomberg victory, given that Clarke is a Democrat and it was the Democratic Primary that Bloomberg was trying to buy.

It looks like Milwaukee County isn’t for sale.  Not even the Democratic part of Milwaukee County because Bloomberg’s $150,000 bought him nothing but the thanks of the media outlets who got the money.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s dollars have been defeated again, this time in Wisconsin. Despite Bloomberg dumping $150,000 into the Democrat primary for Milwaukee County Sheriff on behalf of anti-gun Milwaukee Police Lt. Chris Moews with a goal of defeating pro-self defense incumbent Sheriff David Clarke, Clarke was victorious last night. Clarke defeated Moews 52 percent to 48 percent.

Here at Curmudgeon Central we offer our sincere congratulations to Sheriff Clarke in his victory.  Something we didn’t think we’d see in our lifetime, a Democrat we would proudly vote for.

This is from Breitbarts Big Journalism.

If you can’t do the time don’t do the crime.

You want a turkey with all of the fixings for your

Thanksgiving dinner do not commit crimes.

America needs more Sheriff’s like Joe Arpaio.

The Huffington Post was none too pleased with Arizona’s Sheriff Joe Arpaio over his cost-cutting efforts with his county jail’s Thanksgiving Day menu.

“Joe Arpaio Offers Inmates, Fed Only Twice A Day, 56-Cent Thanksgiving Meal,” author Shadee Ashtari cried. She then went on to quote an anonymous jail employee from another state entirely who allegedly spends 48 cents more per prisoner meal: “We don’t want to release angry inmates.”

Sheriff Joe spoke with me Friday and laughed: “I’m concerned because the meals had gone up a little,” he said. “These people are in jail for committing crimes.” The Sheriff went further and stated: “These people are lucky they get to eat their turkey-flavored soy substance. It’s Thanksgiving, so I gave them them a turkey-flavored meal.”

“Look,” he said. “We have one of the largest county jails in the country. We serve about 20,000 meals per day. Whatever we do costs our taxpayers a lot of money.”

The Sheriff said he intended to take the matter even further: “I’m going to go vegetarian with these guys.” He added: “That’s where the real savings will be.”

“I put American flags in each cell and we listen to the Star-Spangled Banner each day. We also play God Bless America.” He also said his inmates suffer strict consequences if they deface or destroy the American flag in their cells. He stated: “If they damage the flag, they go on a bread and water diet. We have about ten inmates who had to eat bread and water today.”

Another effort Sheriff Joe has in mind will likely upset his detractors even more; namely, Arpaio intends to begin separating U.S. military veterans from other inmates. “These guys served our country,” he explained. “I want them to have special training, job programs, I want to have a program that helps them get jobs after they serve their time,” he said.

Sheriff Joe added: “I’m sure any effort to house veterans separately from the others will get the ACLU [American Civil Liberties Union] after me again, but these guys fought for our country and I want to do something for them.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio: ‘You’ll never secure’ border

This is from The Politico.

Sheriff Joe is spot on with his comments.

He is also correct on how to secure the border.

The half wits in Washington are clueless.

Arizona Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio scoffed at lawmakers’ attempts at showing that the border could be secured, saying that it would never happen – at least not without enforcing some immigration laws.

“[Undocumented immigrants] are very, very innovative. You’ll never secure the border,” Arpaio said on Fox News on Monday. “To say you’re not going to enforce the illegal immigration laws in the interior and blame it on the border, that’s just a copout.”

The sheriff, who has served Arizona in this post for 20 years, said that lawmakers were more concerned with giving undocumented immigrants amnesty, rather than persecuting them under the law.

Arpaio suggested that if the nation’s leaders were serious about securing the border, working with Mexico would be the best bet.

“Use the Mexican army, the federal police, work together and get it done,” he said. “We should send the border patrol or some military over there to help the President of Mexico to work together and get the job done, if you’re really serious about it.”

Treasonous President Obama to Charge 14 Governors with Treason?

This is from Godfather Politics.

Obama wants people unarmed and subservient.

So he would try to destroy any one that opposes him.

Obama is going to keep going and start a revolution.

t has been repeatedly reported on some of our websites that President Barack Hussein Obama is guilty of multiple accounts of treason against the people and Constitution of the United States.  He has not been charged with any of his many crimes because he controls the US Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice (Holder is just as guilty of treason as is Obama).  The rest of Congress seems too spineless or fearful to say or do anything about it.

But let someone else try to stand up against Obama’s crime syndicate and he’s the first one to start hollering treason.

It seems that a growing number of state governors are re-establishing State Defense Forces, also known as State Guards, State Military Reserves and State Militias.  These forces are under the direct authority of the governor of the state and are not subject to federal control.  They can be readily deployed in the case of any natural or man-made disasters.

As of 2010, 23 states and territories have organized State Defense Forces (SDFs) with approximately 14,000 people serving in them.  SDFs were established by federal and state law at the very beginning of our country’s history.  They have played important roles over the years in helping to defend our nation, however, due to many state budget deficits, SDFs are becoming a thing of the past.

The Heritage Foundation did a report on State Defense Forces back in 2010 and if you want to read more about their history, please click here.

According to a recent report, 14 governors have been working to reinstate SDFs in their states.  Governors Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota and Rick Perry of Texas have been fronting the drive to get more states to re-establish their STFs.

The report goes on to say that each of the 14 governors have now supposedly received National Security Letters from the Obama administration demanding that they halt the formation of their SDFs or face possible charges of treason.  It seems that since Obama has drastically reduced the size of the military and their forces are stretched thin with troops still in Afghanistan and Iraq, that he is fearing rebellion from the states.  Further evidence of his fear of a rebellion or revolution is the fact that he has nationalized all of the state National Guard units.

Perhaps this is the reason that he has had the Department of Homeland Security purchase over 2 billion rounds of ammunition and thousands of fully automatic assault rifles.

It is typical of Obama to bully everyone who stands up to him and does not bow down and kiss their bottoms goodbye for him.  He’s tried this with many states when they passed voter ID laws.  He bullied and harassed Sheriff Joe Arpaio because he dared to defy Obama and investigate Obama’s birth certificate.

President Obama is the most corrupt and despicable president our country has ever had.  He considers himself to be above the law, above Congress and above the Constitution.  He is still actively engaged in giving aide and support to our enemies (Egypt for one) which are the definable terms for the charge of treason according to the US Constitution.  He is not acting as our president but rather our dictator.  He’s not any different than Fidel Castro or any other dictator in history.

If the report on the governors receiving National Security Letters is true, then America could well be on verge of a national showdown between state governors and the federal government.  What better way is it for Obama to rid himself of some of his most ardent state opposition leaders than to start charging them with treason, the very crime that he is guilty of several times over?

Sheriff Joe: I’ll Put Released Illegals in Tent City

This is from Newsmax. com.

The federal government will never allow the illegals to be locked up.

We need Sheriff Joe in charge of immigration.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he would love to help the federal government with its mass release of illegal immigrants by putting them in his famed ArizonaTent City” jail.

The illegals were let go to save money ahead of the automatic spending cuts — known as the sequester — that is due to begin Friday.

Arpaio, a hardliner on illegal immigration, told Politico he’d accept the prisoners free of charge. Tent City houses its inmates in tents in the Phoenix desert. Pink underwear is part of their uniform.

“I’ll take them. I have room in my tents. I would be happy to have them, and I wouldn’t even charge them,” he said.

Arpaio, the sheriff of Maricopa County, Ariz., is skeptical that the illegals are being released for financial reasons.

“I am always suspicious when the government that has billions of dollars has to say, ‘we are going to release [illegal immigrants] because of budget problems,’” he said. “I’m wary of that. They’re utilizing a so-called budget crisis as the reason to kick these people loose. I do have a concern about that.”

The real solution, Arpaio said: “If they’re here illegally, they should be deported.”

Actor Steven Seagal to lead Arizona school arms-training event

It is refreshing to see there are a few sane people in Holly Weird.

Most of Holly Weird has their heads firmly planted in their gluteus maximus.

Maricopa County Sheriff Arpaio is introduced by actor Seagal during a campaign rally in Mesa

PHOENIX (Reuters) – Controversial Arizona lawman Joe Arpaio, who styles himself as “America’s Toughest Sheriff,” has enlisted action film star Steven Seagal to lead a training exercise for members of his armed volunteer posse on how to respond to a school shooting.

The training event will involve six instructors leading 40 armed volunteers through a simulated shooting on Saturday, with teenagers acting as students, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

Seagal will lead the training run, focusing on various aspects of shooting scene management, including “entry room tactics and hand-to-hand tactics,” according to Arpaio’s office.

Arpaio, known for his tough stance on illegal immigration, dispatched members of his volunteer posse to patrol schools last month in the wake of the gun rampage that killed 20 children and six adults at a Connecticut elementary school in December.

Those murders touched off a renewed debate over gun violence in America and prompted National Rifle Association head Wayne LaPierre to advocate placing armed security guards at schools.

President Barack Obama has proposed the most sweeping package of gun-control measures in generations, calling for a ban on assault weapons and other steps likely to face a tough ride in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives.

The Arizona event will take place at a school campus in the Phoenix suburb of Fountain Hills. Semi-automatic weapons and handguns firing marking rounds will be used.

It will not be Seagal’s first foray into law enforcement. In 2011, he was sworn in as a sheriff’s deputy in Texas’ Hudspeth County, which runs along the Rio Grande, after expressing an interest in patrolling the border. He also appeared in a reality show detailing his work as a reserve deputy in New Orleans.

Seagal, a resident of the Phoenix Valley and member of Arpaio’s posse, starred in big-budget films in the 1980s and early 1990s, earning a reputation as an action star in movies like “Above the Law” and “Under Siege.”

In the last decade, he has appeared mainly in direct-to-DVD, low-budget films while working in law enforcement. His last role was as a corrupt Mexican drug lord in the Robert Rodriguez grindhouse flick “Machete.”

Arpaio’s 3,450-strong posse of unpaid men and women has for years helped the sheriff target drunk drivers and illegal immigrants, and chase down fathers behind on child support.

Last year, Arpaio sent posse members to Hawaii to investigate the authenticity of Obama’s birth certificate at the request of local Tea Party activists – a key Arpaio constituency.

We need to some way regain control of the GOP.

The Establishment Republicans chose the last two candidates.

Conservatives need to choose the next presidential candidate.

 Conservatism wins every time.

1. House still in GOP hands

Republicans held onto most of the gains made in the 2010 midterm elections, enabling conservatives to keep Obama from imposing a radical agenda on the nation in his second term. House Speaker John Boehner signaled as much, saying on election night that Americans sent a clear message by keeping the House in GOP hands. “With this vote, the American people have also made clear that there is no mandate for raising tax rates,” Boehner said.

2. Popular vote still close

With a 50.5 percent to 48 percent popular vote deficit, Romney outperformed McCain’s percentage in 2008 by several points. America is still close to a 50-50 nation, at least keeping Republicans in the ball-game. After four more years of liberalism, it shouldn’t be hard to find more recruits to switch sides.

3. Ballot initiatives

Voters backed conservative-oriented ballot initiatives in states across the nation, denying race-based policies in Oklahoma, turning down benefits to illegal immigrants in Montana, rejecting assisted suicide in Massachusetts, defeating tax increase measures in Washington, Missouri, South Dakota and Arizona, and backing parental notification for abortions in Montana.

4. Union setback

Voters in Michigan rejected a ballot initiative that would have enshrined collective-bargaining as a constitutional right for unions. The amendment would have blocked right-to-work laws, which declare union membership cannot be required as a condition for employment. Coming after recent defeats for public sector unions in Wisconsin, labor had hoped to use the Michigan measure to regain momentum.

5. Nebraska Senate pickup

The only Democratic Senate seat gained by Republicans was in Nebraska where state Sen. Deb Fischer defeated former senator and governor Bob Kerrey for the seat vacated by retiring Sen. Ben Nelson. While Nebraska should be a reliably red state, Fischer was a surprise winner in the GOP primary, defeating better-known candidates with the help of a Sarah Palin endorsement, and Kerrey was trying to make a political comeback after a decade out of office.

6. North Carolina governor

Former Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory handily defeated Lt. Gov. Walter Dalton, 55 percent to 43 percent, to become the first Republican governor in North Carolina in 24 years. With the Tar Heel State pickup, Republicans now control gubernatorial seats in 30 states, the highest number for either party in 12 years. North Carolina Republicans also made gains in Congress and took control of the state’s general assembly.

7. State legislature victories

Conservatives made significant advances on the state level, extending gains from the 2010 midterm elections. Republicans won back control of the state legislature in Wisconsin, won supermajorities in Tennessee, made gains in the Kansas legislature, and won control of the Arkansas state house for the first time since Reconstruction.

8. Rep. Pete Stark defeated

Rep. Pete Stark (D-Calif.) was a victim of California’s new system of pitting the top two primary vote-getters as general election opponents regardless of party, losing to a fellow Democrat after 40 years in the House. Stark wielded power from his perch on the House Ways and Means Committee and was instrumental in crafting Obamacare. He was also a reliable liberal, belonging to the Congressional Progressive Caucus and was the first openly atheist member of Congress. He was among the more boorish members of the House, committing a lengthy list of gaffes and outrageous statements. Good riddance.

9. Sheriff Joe re-elected

Residents of Maricopa County, Ariz., declared what they thought about the Justice Department’s crusade against Joe Arpaio, voting the “Toughest Sheriff in America” to office for the sixth time. Arpaio, 80, handily defeated Phoenix police veteran Paul Penzone, who had strong support from the state’s Latino community which opposes Arpaio’s tough stance against illegal immigration.

10. Youth vote slippage

There is a glimmer of hope in how the nation’s youth voted. Voters aged 18 to 29 defied projections and turned out in waves equal to their support of Obama in 2008, and once again help to propel him into the White House. But look at the numbers. Whereas in 2008, Obama received 66 percent of the youth vote, in 2012 that had slipped to 60 percent—a hopeful sign that the nation’s youth are slowly catching on that the president’s policies will keep them jobless and burdened with debt.

Justice Department: Arizona Sheriff Arpaio violated federal law

The article and video are from The Washington Times.
Obama will do anything including this BS civil rights charge.
The federal government can not and will not do anything about illegals.
So when the state and local governments do they are racists and violate civil rights.
Rights I might add these illegals do not have.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the self-proclaimed “America’s toughest lawman,” was accused Thursday in a scathing Justice Department report of violating federal law and the Constitution in his department’s handling of Hispanics it arrested and held in its jail system.
Assistant Attorney General Thomas E. Perez, who heads thedepartment’s Civil Rights Division, said a three-year civil investigation found that the Phoenix sheriff and his deputies engaged in unconstitutional conduct and violations of federal law that jeopardized the sheriff’s “commitment to fair and effective” law enforcement.
Sheriff Arpaio bitterly attacked the report during a late afternoon news conference Thursday, calling it a politically motivated assault by theObama administration that will make Arizona unsafe by taking away his authority to keep illegal immigrants off the street.
“Don’t come here and use me as the whipping boy for a national and international problem,” he said.
The report resulted in a decision by the Department of Homeland Securityto strip Sheriff Arpaio and his deputies of their authority to determine whether inmates in county jails are in the country illegally and restricted the agency’s use of a federal fingerprint program to identify illegal immigrants.
“We are going to cooperate the best we can. And if they are not happy, I guess they can carry out their threat and go to federal court,” said the sheriff, who has until Jan. 4 to determine whether he will work out an agreement with the federal government to make changes or face a lawsuit and the loss of federal funds.
The not-unexpected Justice Department report said investigators documented discriminatory policing practices including unlawful stops, detentions and arrests of Hispanics; unlawful retaliation against people exercising their First Amendment right to criticize the agency’s policies or practices, including its discriminatory treatment of Hispanics; and discriminatory jail practices against inmates with limited English proficiency by punishing them and denying them critical services.
Mr. Perez said investigators found a number of “long-standing and entrenched systemic deficiencies” that caused or contributed to patterns of unlawful conduct, including a failure to implement policies guiding deputies on lawful policing practices; allowing specialized units to engage in unconstitutional practices; inadequate training and supervision; an ineffective disciplinary, oversight and accountability system; and a lack of sufficient external oversight and accountability.
In addition, he said, the investigation documented the use of excessive force; police practices that have the effect of significantly compromising the agency’s ability to adequately protect Hispanic residents; and a failure to adequately investigate sexual-abuse cases involving illegal-immigrant victims and perpetrators.
While no formal findings of pattern or practice violations have been made,Mr. Perez said, the investigation remains ongoing. He added that the accusations were brought after Civil Division investigators “peeled the onion to its core.”
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office’s “systematic disregard for basic constitutional protections has created a wall of distrust between thesheriff’s office and large segments of the community, which dramatically compromises the ability to protect and serve the people,” he said. “The problems are deeply rooted in [the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office] culture, and are compounded by MCSO’s penchant for retaliation against individuals who speak out.”
A separate federal grand jury investigation of the sheriff’s office is continuing.
In a Thursday afternoon press conference in Phoenix, an unusually animated Sheriff Arpaio called the report “a sad day for America as a whole.”
He denounced the Obama administration as putting a greater priority on going after law enforcement than securing the border with Mexico, suggesting that “by their actions today, President Obama and a band of his merry men might as well erect their own pink neon sign at the Arizona-Mexico border saying, ‘Welcome all illegals to your United States. Our home is your home.’”
Homeland Security Secretary Janet A. Napolitano said she was “troubled” by the findings of the Justice Department investigation, adding that “discrimination undermines law enforcement and erodes the public trust.”
DHS will not be a party to such practices. Accordingly, and effective immediately, DHS is terminating MCSO’s 287(g) jail model agreement and is restricting the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office access to the Secure Communities program,” said Ms. Napolitano, a former Arizona governor.
DHS will utilize federal resources for the purpose of identifying and detaining those individuals who meet U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement’s immigration-enforcement priorities,” she said.
Ms. Napolitano said the department will continue to enforce federal immigration laws in Maricopa County “in smart, effective ways that focus our resources on criminal aliens, recent border crossers, repeat and egregious immigration-law violators, and employers who knowingly hire illegal labor.”
Sheriff Arpaio said that cancellation would result in large numbers of illegal immigrants being released and “dumped on a street near you.”
“For that, you can thank the federal government,” he said.
He also said the accusations were a foregone conclusion made in bad faith, noting that during one notorious crime sweep, “top homeland security people were there, and they commended us on our professionalism during that crime-sweep operation.”
Justice Department attorneys, investigators and experts conducted interviews with more than 400 people, including 75 current and formerMCSO supervisors and deputies, along with Sheriff Arpaio, and 150 former and current MCSO inmates. In addition, the department reviewed thousands of pages of documents.
Many of the interviews and much of the review was delayed when MCSOrefused to provide required documents and access. The sheriff’s officeprovided the required access and documents after the department filed a lawsuit.
Mr. Perez said the Justice Department will seek to obtain a court-enforceable agreement and will attempt to work with MCSO and Maricopa County officials to develop and implement a comprehensive reform plan with the judicial oversight needed to address the violations of the Constitution and federal law.
“Effective policing and constitutional policing go hand in hand. Developing and implementing meaningful reforms will assist in reducing crime, ensuring respect for the Constitution, and ensuring that the people of Maricopa County have confidence in MCSO’s commitment to fair and effective law enforcement,” he said. “We hope to resolve the concerns outlinedin our findings in a collaborative fashion, but we will not hesitate to take appropriate legal action if MCSO chooses a different course of action.”
The investigation began in June 2008, near the end of the Bush administration, by career Justice Department officials.
