Obama to Joint Chiefs: Cut A-10 Warthog & Abrahams Tank: We Need Funds for Transgender Surgery

This is from Joe For America.

This is a recipe for disaster we will not have any moral and no sense of comradeship left in the military.

Then to make matters worse homosexuals, perverts and the unqualified to perform their job will kill hundreds of troops.

Then the military  has to lower physical fitness standards to allow women in combat leadership positions.

Dead Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines are one Hell of a steep price to pay for being stylish and politically correct.

The President didn’t say that today, but we’re expecting the announcement at any time.  Obama believes that funds for social experimentation like the foolishness of transgenderism is far more important than unit cohesion.

New Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said Sunday that transgender people shouldn’t be prevented from serving in the U.S. military solely based on their gender identity, noting it should not “preclude” them from service.

Carter made the comments at a town-hall event in Kandahar, Afghanistan, in response to a question from Navy Lt. Cmdr. Jesse M. Ehrenfeld, a doctor, about transgender soldiers serving in an “austere environment” like the one in Kandahar.

We have to admit one thing.  This makes “women in combat” look pretty tame.

” (W)e want to make our conditions and experience of service as attractive as possible to our best people in our country. And I’m very open-minded about — otherwise about what their personal lives and proclivities are, provided they can do what we need them to do for us. That’s the important criteria,” Carter said. “I don’t think anything but their suitability for service should preclude them.”

Yeah right.  In order to get more women into combat arms billets the military has been forced to reduce the physical requirements for them.

The Marine Corps may have to change its physical standards in order to put females in positions to one day lead infantry platoons in combat.

Both the Marine Corps and the Army continue to wrestle with the mandate that former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta issued in January, directing the U.S. military to open hundreds of combat-arms jobs that have been closed to female servicemembers.

We have a personal stake in this, our son is a US Marine, Ret., thank God.  At one point, between combat deployments 10 years ago we asked him and a group of Marines in his unit how they felt about women in combat.  They agreed that as long as a woman could carry them wounded by herself 100 yards, under fire, to a safe position they were OK with women in combat.  And then they all laughed, secure in the knowledge that their chain of command would never do that to them.

We have really mixed emotions.  We’re glad our son is a civilian, but we weep for the Marines and their families who will bear the brunt of this criminal social experiment.  In real combat situations many fine young men will pay for Barack Obama’s stupidity with their lives.

Compounding the stupidity of putting unqualified women into combat slots, the Obama administration isn’t resting.  Now they want “people” who are confused about their gender.  The thing that saves lives and wins battles is called unit cohesion.  The concept that men will put the mission above their lives.  And that they will die for one another if necessary.  And do it willingly.

The Obama administration, and the President himself, wants to salt into the best men on earth a bunch of freaks.  And yes, we are referring to the transgender lobby as freaks.  They have no place in civilized society, anywhere.  Especially, they have no place in a military unit where people’s lives are in danger.

Will the Congress step up and stop this madness?  Unfortunately, probably not.

Best story about Marines EVER

Hat Tip Young Conservatives.

This is an oldie but a goodie. Gung Ho!, Semper Fidelis!

While Obama works hard at doing nothing to wipe radical Islamic terror group ISIS off the face of the earth, there’s a group of warriors sitting at bay who are just itching to get a shot at taking these dudes down.

These warriors would be the men and women who make up the United States Marine Corp, and as you’ll see from the story below, if we let even just one soldier off the chain, ISIS’ days are numbered.

This will definitely put a smile on your face.

All joking aside, our military is the best of the best, and ISIS terrorists don’t hold a candle to our Marines.

ISIS has proven to be a credible threat to our nation’s security and to our people abroad. However, these guys can easily be taken out with a clear strategy that involves boots on the ground and a whole lot of guns and bullets.

Along with that, we also need to be fighting their twisted ideology, which encourages Islamic believers to attack unbelievers and anyone who they deem to be a “hindrance” to the spread of their religion.

You combine ideological warfare with Marines on the ground and ISIS doesn’t stand a chance.

5 Ways Muslims Have Contributed to ‘Building the Very Fabric of Our Nation’

This is from PJ Media.

I promise you Obama did not envision Muslims making these type of contributions to America.

Why did Columbus set sail? Because the fall of Constantinople to Jihadists in 1453 closed the trade routes to the East.

Last Sunday, in his message congratulating Muslims on Eid al-Fitr, the holiday marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, Barack Obama wrote: “Eid also reminds us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy.” That’s right: he said “many achievements and contributions.” I could only think of five. Maybe you will be able to think of some more.

5. Getting us here in the first place

This one predates the United States as a nation, but without it, the United States would not exist. Every schoolchild knows, or used to know, that in 1492 Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue and discovered America while searching for a new, westward sea route to Asia. But why was he searching for a new route to Asia? Because the fall of Constantinople to the Muslims in 1453 closed the trade routes to the East. This was devastating for European tradesmen, who had until then traveled to Asia for spices and other goods by land. Columbus’s voyage was trying to ease the plight of these merchants by bypassing the Muslims altogether and making it possible for Europeans to reach India by sea.

So the bellicosity and intransigence of Islam ultimately opened the Americas for Europe – and made the United States possible.

4. Slavery

Slavery is condoned in the Qur’an as well as the Bible, and has been taken for granted throughout Islamic history, as it was in the West until the advent of the great abolitionist movements in the U.S. and Britain. The opening of the transatlantic slave trade provided Muslim slave dealers in Africa with a lucrative new market – one that they cheerfully and energetically exploited.

One consequence of this has been claims by the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and other Islamic advocacy groups in the U.S. that the first Muslims in the U.S. were slaves imported from Africa. This, of course, feeds the sense of victimhood that CAIR so assiduously cultivates for the political power that it offers, but it cuts in the other direction as well: not only the slaves, but the slave traders who sold them to Europeans and Americans who brought them to the New World were Muslims, operating in accord with the sanction of slavery given by Muhammad and the Qur’an.

Arguably, then, if it weren’t for the Islamic slave industry on the African continent, there would have been no slavery in the New World, and none of the attendant national traumas that reverberate down to this day. This means, of course, that one way that Muslims have contributed to building the very fabric of our nation is by setting in motion the chain of events that led to ongoing racial tensions in the U.S., and ultimately to the election to the presidency of Barack Obama.

3. The Marines

“From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli…” The line from the Marines’ hymn commemorates the Marines’ actions during the First Barbary War (1801-1805), the first war the United States fought against Islamic jihadists. The war came about because President Thomas Jefferson refused to accede to the Barbary states’ demands for tribute payments – demands made in accord with the Qur’an’s dictum that the “People of the Book” must be made to “pay the jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued” (9:29). The Barbary pirates, also acting in accord with Islamic law regarding the kidnapping, enslaving and ransoming of non-Muslims, were seizing American ships and enslaving the crews, demanding exorbitant ransoms for their release.

The Marines put a stop to all that, and the line from the Marines’ hymn shows how pivotal their actions on the Barbary coast were to forming the Marine ethos. So for the Marines, too, we have Muslims to thank.

2. A drastically weakened economy

Osama bin Laden explained that he mounted the 9/11 jihad terror attacks in order to weaken the American economy. In October 2004 he exulted: “Al-Qaeda spent $500,000 on the event, while America, in the incident and its aftermath, lost — according to the lowest estimate — more than $500 billion, meaning that every dollar of al-Qaeda defeated a million dollars.” Then there are the further billions lost since 2004, and the billions wasted on the nation-building misadventures in Iraq and Afghanistan – such that if he were alive today, bin Laden could look with satisfaction on an America with a severely weakened economy, high unemployment, and no imminent prospects for genuine recovery.

We experience the effects of this every day in a thousand ways, large and small – in an America that is poorer, uglier, meaner, more dangerous, less productive and less efficient than it was on September 10, 2001. A veritable contribution to the fabric of our nation indeed.

1. The TSA

Once romantic and even glamorous, air travel today is an uncomfortable, uncertain, unpleasant, inhospitable, cramped affair involving intrusive and inefficient security procedures that annoy and humiliate travelers. At least everyone is humiliated equally. Passengers are poked, prodded, threatened, herded like cattle, beleaguered with delays, and treated as if they were criminals in a politically correct attempt to avoid focusing on the true source of the problem.

Meanwhile, the TSA and the Department of Homeland Security are two new bloated and ever-growing bureaucracies, further draining the already depleted American taxpayer.

And that, surely, is the crowning contribution that Muslims have made to “building the very fabric of our nation” as it stands today.

Military lowering standards to qualify women for combat

This is from BizPac Review.

Lowering the physical requirements for women in combat is wrong.

Lives will be lost in combat because of the lack of physical strength

by women.

I would hope if I was wounded in combat the person in the foxhole

next to me  could drag me to safety.

Political Correctness running wild.

This is real life not some Bravo Serria movie with Demi Moore.

Don’t look now but affirmative action is coming to the U.S. military as it considers different training for men and women.

Instead of “Army Strong,” perhaps the new motto should be “Army Fair.”

When former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta announced the lifting of the ban on women serving in combat earlier this year, he said not everyone can meet the qualifications to be a combat soldier but everyone is entitled the opportunity, as reported by Fox News.

Since the decision to lift the ban, there has been a lot of debate about the physical requirements of serving in front-line positions, with concerns about lower standards being part of that discussion.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who supported the decision, spoke of this when he said the military, and particularly elite special forces units, should maintain their “rigorous physical standards.”

Six months later, we learn that the U.S. military is looking at ways to modify its training for women to help them qualify for direct ground combat roles in the infantry, tanks and special operations, according to the Washington Times.

The idea was proposed by Rep. Niki Tsongas, D-Mass., at a House Armed Services Committee hearing this week.

“To put in place a training regimen that is ill-suited to maximizing the success of women is not really the outcome any of us want to see,” she said.

Army Lt. Gen. Howard Bromberg, deputy chief of staff for personnel, appears to agree with Tsongas.

“We are looking at that, and we’re not looking at it just for the integration of women,” he testified. “We’re looking at it for the total soldier, because just as you have a 110-pound male who may lack some type of physiological capability or physical capability, he or she may both need to be trained differently.”

Lt. Gen. Robert Milstead Jr., deputy Marine Corps commandant for manpower, is also on board. While pitching for gender-segregated boot camp, he spoke of how men and women “need to be nurtured different.”

As it stands, all four women who’ve attempted to pass the Marine Corps Infantry Officer Course have failed. The demanding 13-week course is considered to be among the toughest in the U.S. military.

And while much of today’s combat takes place at a distance, al-Qaida must be looking forward to meeting this new “nurtured” soldier up close and personal on the battlefield.

Apparently, “maximizing the success of women” is a greater priority for some than living and dying.

Of course, if you understand the progressive left, you could see this coming. Just as Obamacare is but a foot in the door that will lead to single payer, the announcement in January was just the beginning of the emasculation of the U.S. military.

Which leaves one to wonder if the final earthly thoughts of these new American soldiers, as they lay dying on the battlefield, will be to wish that there had been a little less gender equality within their unit.

VALOUR-IT Time again

I found this at This ain’t Hell, but you can see it from here.

Please contribute if you can and help spread the word.

We owe these valiant warriors so much.

Did you notice the VALOUR-IT button to your right? Yep, it’s that time of year to help Soldiers’ Angels to buy voice-controlled laptops for wounded warriors;

Project Valour-IT, in memory of SFC William V. Ziegenfuss, helps provide voice-controlled/adaptive laptop computers and other technology to support Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines recovering from hand wounds and other severe injuries. Technology supplied includes:

Voice-controlled Laptops – Operated by speaking into a microphone or using other adaptive technologies, they allow the wounded to maintain connections with the rest of the world during recovery.

Wii Video Game Systems – Whole-body game systems increase motivation and speed recovery when used under the guidance of physical therapists in therapy sessions (donated only to medical facilities).

Personal GPS – Handheld GPS devices build self-confidence and independence by compensating for short-term memory loss and organizational challenges related to severe TBI and severe PTSD.

The experience of Major Chuck Ziegenfuss, a partner in the project who suffered serious hand wounds while serving in Iraq, led to the creation of this program that has used voice-controlled laptops to the support recovery and reintegration of thousands of wounded troops since 2005.

“At that time I had no use of either hand. I know how humbling it is, how humiliating it feels. And I know how much better I felt, how amazingly more functional I felt, after Soldiers’ Angels provided me with a laptop and a loyal reader provided me with the software. I can’t wait to do the same, to give that feeling to another soldier at Walter Reed.” – Captain Chuck Ziegenfuss

This is our chance to give back to our wounded warriors – give them something that will help them heal and connect with family, friends, and their comrades back in the combat zones.

You can help by donating and spreading the word about Valour-IT and Soldiers’ Angels.

So I’ll end this by saying thank you to all of you (small spheres of influence) who have helped these amazing American men and women.

If you can’t pick up a rifle, then please help our warriors.

Thank you!

SO click the link at the top of the right side bar. It was a fairly painless process. The Marines win every year, for some reason – there’s fewer of them. I guess it’s because Army guys are supporting all of those ex-wives.
