Bloomberg Says He Won’t Run For President And ‘Risk’ Electing Trump Or Cruz

This is from NPR.

This announcement has made Hillary and Bernie very happy.

Yet it makes them sad because when Hillary or Bernie net the nomination and lose, they will not have Nanny Bloomberg to blame.

American gun owners win also.

Former three-term mayor of New York City Michael Bloomberg said Monday he will not run for president, after months of speculation that he would jump in as in independent during a campaign in which it seems anything could happen.

In a column on his opinion site Bloomberg View, he said looking at the data made it “clear to me that if I entered the race, I could not win.” He added that he feared his running could split votes enough to give Donald Trump or Ted Cruz an advantage.

Bloomberg writes that he believes he could have won a number of states but that ultimately the race could come down to three people in the general election, none of whom would get enough electoral votes to win the presidency. That would put the onus on the Republican-controlled Congress and, as Bloomberg writes, “out of the hands of the American people.”

“As the race stands now, with Republicans in charge of both Houses, there is a good chance that my candidacy could lead to the election of Donald Trump or Senator Ted Cruz,” he said. “That is not a risk I can take in good conscience.”

Bloomberg wrote a searing critique of Trump, saying he has “run the most divisive and demagogic presidential campaign I can remember, preying on people’s prejudices and fears.” In particular, he hit Trump’s call to ban Muslims from entering the country, and called Sen. Cruz’s “pandering on immigration … no less extreme” than Trump’s.

Bloomberg said he had given “serious consideration” to running. The New York Timesreported that he had “quietly laid groundwork” for a campaign including a network of “several dozen strategists and staff members,” and had conducted polling and even produced TV ads and set up campaign offices.

He said the decision not to run comes despite the fact that he has “always been drawn to impossible challenges.”

“All of us have an obligation as voters to stand up on behalf of ideas and principles that, as Lincoln said, represent ‘the last best hope of Earth,'” he continued. “I hope and pray I’m doing that.”

Revealed: Who Obama Just Met With Has Many Terrified About His Next Exec. Order

This is from Western Journalism.

Things are going to get damned ugly for America’s gun owners.

One of the policies that Obama may try to push is…

As he looks for ways to use executive orders to purportedly put new limits on the Second Amendment, President Obama has been raising eyebrows with the list of anti-gun advocates he has invited to the White House to help him craft those new rules; and some feel these big anti-gun names make clear what Obama’s intentions really are.

A recent piece at CNN reports that Obama has met with several well known anti-gun advocates.

Chief among those who have been brought to the White House to assist Obama’s team in writing his executive orders is Mayor Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York and one of the nation’s leading gun control advocates.

Bloomberg has become notorious for using his money to push anti-gun policies and candidates across the country, though he has rarely had much success for all his efforts.

Bloomberg’s former anti-gun group has recently morphed into the group now called “Everytown for Gun Safety,” in an effort to soften the negative opinion many had of his previous organization “Mayors Against Illegal Guns.”

Also visiting the White House has been former Arizona Representative and shooting victim Gabby Giffords, who has had a second career as an anti-gun advocate since being shot by a mentally ill man in a 2011 incident that killed six and wounded 13 more.

BLOOMBERG, MCAULIFFE FAIL TO WIN VIRGINIA SENATE WITH GUN-CONTROL PITCH

This is from Breitbarts Big Government.

This is a major slap down to Nanny Bloomberg, The Punk Mc Auliffe and all of the anti gun crowd.

Virginia Republicans look set to hold onto their Senate majority in the Old Dominion, amid aggressive campaigning by Democrat Gov. Terry McAuliffe.

It is a big defeat for McAuliffe, a close ally for Hillary Clinton, and a big defeat for New York billionaire Mike Bloomberg, who donated heavily to Democrats in the hope of winning the Virginia electoral fights on a promise of more gun-control.

Republicans beat back two serious challengers Tuesday, holding onto seats in the suburbs of Richmond and the Hampton Roads area.

In another hotly contested race, Republican Hal Parrish holds a lead over Democrat Jerry McPike. If Parrish holds onto his lead, it would represent a Republican gain, as the two are battling to replace a retiring Democrat.

McAuliffe, with considerable help from Bloomberg, bet his political capital on Democrats winning the upper Chamber. But he seems to have fallen far short.

Republicans currently hold a 2-seat majority in the state Senate. Republicans have an overwhelming majority in the state House.

Bloomberg was hoping to capitalize on the tragic shooting of two Virginia TV reporters by a disgruntled newsman earlier this Summer. He pumped millions into the race for two critical state Senate seats. As a result, both Democrats were able to dramatically outspend their Republican rivals.

Bloomberg and his SuperPAC, Everytown for Gun Safety, hoped to show that Democrats could win on the issue of gun control. Also, Gov. McAuliffe had made enacting new restrictions on gun ownership a centerpiece of his campaigning for Democrats around the state.

McAuliffe also campaigned aggressively for expanding Medicaid through ObamaCare and implementing universal preschool. All three issues have been top priorities for McAuliffe’s tenure as governor. Barred from running for reelection, McAuliffe will now face a united Republican legislature for his final two years in office.

His policy agenda, and Bloomberg’s push for gun control, are dead in Richmond. McAuliffe’s inability to deliver the closely divided Senate for Democrats also raises questions of how effective he can be for Hillary Clinton next year. In many ways, this legislative election turned on issues central to her campaign.

BUT WE NEED MORE GUN LAWS? Judge Gives Strawman Seller Probation

This is from Bearing Arms.

Where is Nanny Bloomberg, Little Shannon Watts and her band of harpies protesting this judge’s ruling.

Dontray Mills wants to be a rapper so he can continue a life of crime.

Gun control supports keep pushing for more gun control laws to punish law-abiding citizens, not criminals. They could care less what happens to criminals.

We know this for a simple reason. Neither Moms Demand Action, nor Everytown, nor CSGV, nor Brady have anything at all to say about this mocking travesty of a decision.

In giving probation with no jail time to a Milwaukee man charged with 55 counts of buying firearms with fake identification and dealing them without a license, a federal judge delivered a message:

“People kill people,” U.S. District Rudolph Randa said, echoing a common gun rights slogan. “Guns don’t kill people.”

Dontray Mills, 24, purchased a total of 27 firearms, mostly handguns, between December 2012 and April 2014 and pleaded guilty to one of the charges on April 22, 2014, after an ATF investigation. As a result of the conviction, Mills will never again be able to buy firearms legally.

On Wednesday, he was sentenced. As part of the plea bargain, prosecutors agreed with the one year of probation.

Randa said he recognized the seriousness of the offense and acknowledged the problem of guns winding up in the hands of people who use them to commit violence.

But Mills, Randa said, did not come across as a typical defendant because of his good behavior since the charges and his life ambitions, which include becoming a rap musician. While on bail, Mills twice traveled to Los Angeles to work on a film and to pursue his musical aspirations.

Randa said he had seen plenty of people facing similar charges who bought firearms for friends and then took no responsibility for their actions. Mills, he said, has accepted responsibility.

There were 55 counts of strawman purchases intended to deliver guns to criminals on the street, each good for 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Instead of 550 years in prison and nearly $14 MILLION in fines, Judge Randa sentenced Mills to probation for putting dozens of guns into the hands of violent criminals.

This is absurd.

Bloomberg Group Lies About Charleston Church Shooting To Push Gun Control Scheme

This is from Bearing Arms.

Which story is correct the system failed to stop Dylann Roof,or according to the U. K. Daily Mail Dylann’s father bought the gun for him?

Is the story of the National Instant Criminal Background Check System failing a false flag to take away our Second Amendment rights?

Nanny Bloomberg and his band of miscreants are a bunch of ghouls dancing on the graves of dead people to promote their totalitarian agenda.

t takes a special kind of ghoul to shamelessly stand on the bodies of the dead to lie in service of a political agency, but billionaire totalitarian Michael Bloomberg is just that kind of ghoul:

Everytown for Gun Safety is pushing for legislation that would close a loophole supported by the National Rifle Association that allows people with incomplete background checks to purchase guns after three business days.

A similar bill, authored by Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.), aims to stop retailers from selling guns to people with incomplete background checks, as was the case when alleged Charleston shooter Dylann Roof purchased his firearm.

The prospects of a bill getting through the GOP-controlled Congress appear bleak.

The prospects are bleak for the legislation because the “loophole” is a media myth, on numerous levels.

As we noted in our initial report yesterday, the NICS background check system didn’t fail. Based upon what the FBI director has made public, there were two failure points.

Multiple Data Entry Failures

At  the local level, for reasons that still remain unclear, the wrong arresting agency was listed for the suspect’s drug charge.

This  data entry was compounded when because the list of law enforcement agencies in South Carolina used by NICS in their investigations was incorrect due to another data entry error.

ATF Retrieval Failure

When I worked retail in a gun shop, we once had a customer who was delayed, and who later returned to pick up his firearm after the three-day deplay period had expired. NICS determined the following day that he should have been considered a prohibited person, and sent ATF agents to our store to pull his form 4473, and then went to retrieve the firearm within 48 hours.

In this instance in south Carolina, the suspect waited five days—nearly doubling the amount of time investigators had to investigate his history—before picking up the handgun, on April 16, 2015.

62 days after picking up his firearm, and 67 days after submitting his information to the FBI NICS, the killer carried out his attack.

Where was the breakdown between NICS and the ATF that allowed more than two months to pass without the killer being targeted for a gun retrieval?

There is nothing wrong with the existing implementation of the NICS system.

What we had here is a all-too-human data entry error that seems to have originated in South Carolina law enforcement, and an even more worrying failure of communication between NICS and the ATF.

So why are Bloomberg’s attack dogs lying about about the horrific events in Charleston?

The three day limit was put in place to ensure that duplicitous anti-liberty political administrations could not game the system in order to create de facto gun sales bans. If the NICS Operation Center did not have a statutory time limit to investigate delays, an anti-gun Executive Branch could slow the system down or even close it entirely by reallocating or minimizing NICS staff so that approvals slowed to a crawl. Instead of approvals taking just three days, we could see them taking nine months or more as they sometimes have on Title II (NFA) firearms… if at all.

The “Charleston loophole” is an attempt to create a problem where one didn’t exist, then exploit that imaginary problem to reduce lawful gun sales for law-abiding citizens in the future, without any impediment at all to those sick and twisted individuals who want to hurt other human beings.

Bloomberg and him band of serially-dishonest spin merchants at Moms Demand Action, Everytown, and the Trace may excite their tiny base of fact-starved fans, but they’ll continue to politically alienate themselves from Democrats, Independents,  and Republicans alike with their bitter dishonesty.

Bloomberg Debuts New Gun Control Propaganda Site, The Trace

This is from Bearing Arms.

Nanny Bloomberg the man that has more money than brains.

Not willing to accept the continuing failure of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Moms Demand Action, and Everytown to stem the tide of gun rights laws expanding across most of the nation, Michael Bloomberg has announced the launch of yet another gun control initiative,a Think Progress/Media Matters inspired propaganda site called “The Trace.”

The launch of another news site by Bloomberg, the former New York mayor, head of the Bloomberg news operation, and funder of several anti-gun sites including Mayors Against Illegal Guns, comes as President Obama and Democrats are trying to revive their gun control agenda. Last week, legislation was proposed, for example, to require a police-issued license prior to buying a handgun.

The Trace is headed by former New Republic story editor James Burnett. He didn’t respond to an email question about the project, one sign of the secrecy around it. His Twitter account describes him as “editorial director, a site to be named later.” But his Twitter handle gives it away: “TraceBurnett.”

And a reporter working a story for the website described herself as “a freelance writer for The Trace, a soon-to-be-launched online news magazine about guns and gun rights.”

In the only story about The Trace, New York’s “Capital” said the site will be the editorial arm of Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety. The group draws attention to gun violence, builds protests against organizations and companies that don’t ban guns in stores, and promotes background checks.

I can’t help but laugh at Bloomberg’s hires, which once again seem to be based upon ideology, instead of competence.

In hiring Burnett, Bloomberg has latched on to an editor from a failing left-wing magazine with with no credible knowledge of firearms.

His sole reporter, Jennifer Mascia, is the daughter of a low-level mobster who edited an ineffectual and short-lived anti-gun project for the New York Times.

One has to wonder if the clueless Bloomberg is aware that “the trace” is also a term describing the visible trail of the bullet created by the shockwave of the bullet passing through the air, causing water vapor to momentarily condense. Skilled shooters and spotters use the trace as a tool to help put rounds on target.

We’re fairly certain that the clueless Bloomberg minions are going to continue their past mistakes and miss the mark… yet again.

HBO, MTV, AND A HOST OF CELEBRITIES TO JOIN BLOOMBERG FOR ANTI-GUN EVENT

This is from Breitbarts Big Government.

Nanny Bloomberg and his merry band of useful idiots are trying to convince the sheeple that guns are evil killing machines with minds of their own.

Their goal to destroy our Second Amendment Rights and turn us into unarmed victims.

On June 2 HBO, MTV, and a host of celebrities will be joining Michael Bloomberg and other pro-gun control groups to watch participating mayors proclaim “Gun Violence Awareness Day” in their cities.

Those participating will “wear orange” and MTV will “change its on-air logo — as well as several of its social media avatars — to orange in recognition of National Gun Violence Awareness Day.”

According to PRNewsWire, participating celebrities–aka, “cultural influencers”–include:

Julianne Moore, Russell Simmons, Sarah Silverman, Michael Stipe, Patti Smith, Aasif Mandvi,Alyssa Milano, Padma Lakshmi, John Hodgman, Amanda Peet, Perez Hilton, Melissa Joan Hart, Tiffani Thiessen, Tunde Adebimpe of TV On The Radio, Rise Against, Mario Batali, Anti-Flag, Nigel Barker, Grace Weber, Jon Foreman, Judith Hill, Amber Coffman of Dirty Projectors, Tyler Glenn of Neon Trees and Thomas Roberts of MSNBC.

On December 29, 2014, Breitbart News reported that Julianne Moore became the celebrity face for Everytown for Gun Safety’s year-end donations drive. CTNews reported that Moore wrote a letter asking possible contributors to cough up “$5 or more” to “stop gun violence” and “save lives.”

On April 30, 2015, Breitbart News reported that Melissa Joan Hart signed on for Moms Demand Action’s Mother’s Day week gun control push. The push was largely out-shadowed by the number of Americans flocking to gun stores to get guns and bullets for self-defense following the Islamic attack in Garland at the start of Mother’s Day week.

In addition to the celebrities, Motown Records and Essence Magazine will be joining HBO and MTV in support of “Gun Violence Awareness Day.”

Participating Senators include Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Dick Durbin (D-IL), Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT)2%
, and Sen. Al Franken (D-MN)2%
.

Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) is also participating.

In August 2013 Breitbart News reported that Murphy broke with Thomas Jefferson on the source of unalienable rights–which includes guns rights–by saying the right to keep and bear arms is “not a God-given right.” You’ll recall that Jefferson famously explained that we “are endowed by [our] Creator with certain unalienable Rights“

Congressional participants include Representative Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA)16%
, who recently won “Top Gun” in a Congressional skeet shoot then used his acceptance comments to call for more gun control. Also included are Reps. Rep. Elizabeth Esty (D-CT)9%
, Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT)6%
and the lone Republican–Rep. Bob Dold (R-IL)35%
.

Bloomberg Creates Everytown “News” Arm

This is from Gun News.

It sounds to me like Nanny Bloomberg wants to become the Joseph Goebbels of the Obama Anti-Gun Media.

Bloomberg, the maniacal former mayor of New York City, has announced the creation of a “news” arm of his anti-gun group, Everytown for Gun Safety. As you may remember, Everytown is the latest incarnation of the Mayor’s Against Illegal Guns group that suffered irreparable damage when the criminal pasts of its members came to light.

The announcement coincides with the “journalism” seminar that Bloomberg is co-hosting with the Columbia School of Journalism in Arizona later this month. The seminar is reportedly to help select journalists to be better educated and more ethical when reporting on guns. I’m having a tough time accepting that this seminar will do either of these things.

What I think is happening is that Bloomberg is holding this event as a recruitment seminar as he and the editors of this “news” arm look for writers to fill their website with anti-gun, anti-Bill of Rights articles.

The man running the propaganda wing of Everytown will be none other than James Burnett, ultra-left-wing, anti-gun former editor from New Republic. He, along with several other employees, resigned from New Republic when the new owner decided to go in a different direction.

Another liberal, this one from the New York Times, will also be joining the crew. Jennifer Mascia will be the news and editorial assistant.

The bottom line is that Bloomberg is gearing up for a big plan of disinformation and bogus statistics, all with the intention of confusing a gullible public into thinking that the country will be safer when only the police have guns.

Bloomberg isn’t the only liberal who wants to control how news and information is disseminated. President Obama has recently called for a change in how the media reports stories. Speaking at Georgetown University, Obama said,

“We’re going to have to change how our body politic thinks, which means we’re going to have to change how the media reports on these issues and how people’s impressions of what it’s like to struggle in this economy looks like, and how budgets connect to that. And that’s a hard process because that requires a much broader conversation than typically we have on the nightly news.”

The truth is that it isn’t any of his business how the media reports the news. This goes for whether it’s CNN or FOX. No one in the government should ever be involved with how the news is written, reported, or shown. That is the purpose of the First Amendment. The politicians govern at our pleasure, and the media reports it how they see it.

The only problem that we really have now in the media is credibility, such as people like Brian Williams lying to the American public about his experiences and then expecting to be believed when he reports the news. George Stephanopoulos is another example of a person with an ulterior motive. He worked for years for Bill and Hillary Clinton and now is working for ABC as a nightly anchor, pretending to be unbiased. Now, his donation of $50,000 to the Clinton Foundation has come to light, showing exactly where his loyalties lie.

I am not a journalist, nor do I claim to be one. I have never claimed to be unbiased. In fact, I’m very biased. What I write are opinion pieces based on current events. That’s the difference between me and liberal writers.

Liberal writers, like those who will be working for Bloomberg, claim to be writing unbiased, neutral pieces that simply lay out the facts. The problem is that they are manipulating the facts in order to deceive the public. They also use the term “unbiased” in an attempt to gain the trust of the public.

I’m not interested in the public’s trust. My challenge to all my readers is simple: Read my articles and then do the research and see if you agree with me or not. If you agree with me, great. If you disagree with me, that’s fine too. I’m not unbiased — I’m a fervent supporter of the Second Amendment, and I don’t hide that.

Bloomberg’s news arm will invariably write articles that are anti-Second Amendment but cloaked in the public safety mantra. They will never just come out and say how they really feel. They will never just say, “Look, guns are evil. Guns kill people. I hate guns, and the Second Amendment needs to be abolished and all the guns collected.”

Hell, I’d at least respect them for being honest. Stupid, but honest. Instead, they will skirt around the issue, attempting to build consensus within the uneducated populace.

I can see it now.

“We all want our children to be safe, don’t we? Then why in the world would you want your child in a school where any untrained, gun zealot can carry without any rules? Isn’t this putting your child’s life at risk? Why do you need a military style rifle? Nobody uses those for hunting. Our founding fathers never intended people to own machine guns. The Second Amendment was written to protect hunters.”

The list goes on and on. All lies.

As we get closer to the presidential election cycle (if we aren’t already in it — who can tell anymore?) the anti-gun rhetoric will increase. Bloomberg’s group will be poised to flood the market with lies, misinformation, made up statistics, and anything else they can think of to get another liberal idiot in the White House.

New York City, Citadel of Gun Control Beset By Muggings and Random Acts of Violence

Hat Tip to Bullets First.

Gun control allows the feral thugs run wild at the expense of the unarmed people.

“An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.”

New York City, home of some of the most stringent gun control policies in the nation and of gun control gestapo head Michael Bloomberg has seen a sharp uptick of the victimization of its citizens by roves of thugs and criminals.

Over the past weekend the disarmed citizens of New York who frequent Central Park were prey to at least 3 unrelated and violent muggings.

The first mugging occurred at 9:30pm on Saturday when a gang of 12 teenagers descended upon a couple walking through the park.  The group was armed with knives and tasers and stole the couples cell phones.  For good measure this gang of hoodlums punched the woman in the face.

When gun controllers rage on and on about magazine limits they should take a look at this couple who would need more than 7 rounds to stop a gang of 12 who very well could have gone from beating the woman to killing her boyfriend and raping her.

Of course, being New York City the couple was all ready at a disadvantage being disarmed by the policies of gun hating hoplophobes like Bloomberg and his ilk.

The second mugging occurred on Sunday morning where a 45 year old man was choked and robbed of his wallet and backpack by a gun wielding mugger.

I wonder how that can be though.  I mean, gun control is supposed to stop bad guys from having guns.  Oh wait, no, its meant to stop law abiding citizens from defending themselves and ensuring that criminals don’t get hurt in their commission of crimes.

In the third mugging a woman was overpowered and had her purse stolen at 8:30pm on Sunday.

In an ideal gun controller city like New  York, the stronger can run roughshod over the weaker.

And not to think that crime is only limited to muggings in Central Park, at Union Square on Tuesday night between 7:30 and 7:a man went on a hammer wielding mini-rampage attacking two women.

Once again the women had little recourse but to hope that their deranged attacker didn’t beat them to death with a hammer.

This is what gun control looks like.  The weak, the outnumbered, the unarmed falling victim and prey to roving gangs, armed thugs and hammer wielding maniacs.

New York City…it’s a hell of a town…where devils run wild and the innocent suffer.

NYC Board of Health’s new, stricter rules for day cares limit how much juice kids can drink, cut ‘sedentary’ time

This is from The New York Daily News.

Comrade De Blasio is trying to out nanny Nanny Bloomberg.

There is a statement by one woman makes me ask WTF.

Helen Chernikoff, 42, a mom of two from Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, said sometimes the mayor knows best.

“Juice and TV are bad and I would embrace the nanny state when it comes to this stuff,” she said.

People like Helen Chernikoff are dangerous.

The city wants to make sure day care kids get in shape and that means more exercise and less juice.

In a pint-sized version of ex-Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s attempt to ban super-sized sugary drinks, the city’s Board of Health on Monday announced dramatically stricter rules for all licensed city day cares, including a limit on how much juice kids can drink.

Under the new rules, designed to try to cut obesity rates, children must be at least 2 years old before they can take their first sip of juice at day care, and they are only allowed four ounces a day.

Only 100% juice is allowed.

The old rules allowed babies as young as eight months to guzzle six ounces of 100% juice a day.

https://social.newsinc.com/media/json/69017/28768642/singleVideoOG.html?videoId=28768642&type=VideoPlayer/16×9&widgetId=2&trackingGroup=69017

Other new rules restrict kids’ “sedentary time” to less than 30 minutes a day down from 60 minutes a day currently and only one half-hour of screen time a week.

Previously, kids could watch TV or play with devices like iPads up to 60 minutes a day.

The “sedentary time” does not include naps, or time spent reading, doing puzzles or painting.

Not all parents were thrilled with the new regulations. “It’s like the big soda ban under Bloomberg!” said Brooklyn mom of two Victoria Clark,33.

She said the rules were too “strict” for her taste.

“TV can be educational, and not all juices are bad,” she said.

She said she prefers to talk to the day care provider about what she thinks her child needs and thinks the city should chill a bit.

“They’re only kids,” she said.

New dad Eric Diaz, also of Brooklyn, agreed that the city is out of line.

“They want to control everything,” said Diaz, 31. “Every kid has their own level of intake.”

Other parents applauded the new health regime.

“I would never send my kid to a day care where they are watching TV,” said Elizabeth Clements, a mother of three who lives in TriBeCa.

Helen Chernikoff, 42, a mom of two from Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, said sometimes the mayor knows best.

“Juice and TV are bad and I would embrace the nanny state when it comes to this stuff,” she said

The rule changes were approved by the Board of Health earlier this month and posted in the City Record Monday, as required by law.

Officials say that the dramatic changes are necessary to stem skyrocketing childhood obesity rates.

According to the notice in the City Record, a whopping 15% of 3-year-old and 17% of 4-year-old preschoolers from low- income families were deemed obese in 2011.

That’s why it’s important to make changes now, the Board of Health says.

“Dietary and lifestyle habits and preferences developed at a very early age can often persist and may have profound impact on an individual’s health later on,” the Board wrote in the City Record.

The changes apply to non-residential day care programs and pre-schools, which are regulated by the city.

Home-based day cares are regulated by the state, which has its own rules.

The new changes recall Bloomberg’s failed crusade to ban sugary drinks over 16 ounces, which the courts struck down after soda companies sued the city.

Mayor de Blasio has said that he agreed with the concept of the soda ban, and would try and bring it back through other means.

The Board of Health also passed new safety rules for day cares. Because of several incidents in which kids left the building by themselves, the day cares will now have to have a “panic bar” on all exits, out of reach of the kids.
