Just Watch Oprah’s Reaction After Actress Rejects Labels and Declares Herself Not ‘African-American’

This is from The Blaze.

I applaud Raven’s stand on being a hyphenated American we are Americans first and foremost.

Be proud of your heritage, but first and foremost, you are an American..

Here is John Waynes take on hyphenated Americans.

Actress and singer Raven-Symone left Oprah Winfrey visibly surprised during an interview when she explained that she’s “tired of being labeled” and considers herself “American,” not “African-American.”

Raven, who is best known for her roles on “The Cosby Show” and “That’s So Raven,” said she doesn’t want to be labeled as “gay” either, because she is just a “human who loves humans.”

“I’m tired of being labeled. I’m an American. I’m not an African-American; I’m an American,” she said.

“Oh, girl, don’t set up Twitter on fire,” Winfrey responded. “Oh, my lord. What did you just say?”

(OWN)

Raven continued: “I mean, I don’t know where my roots go to. I don’t know how far back they goI don’t know what country in Africa I’m from, but I do know that my roots are in Louisiana. I’m an American. And that’s a colorless person.”

Winfrey then warned the entertainer that she would “get a lot of flak for saying you’re not African-American.”

“I want you to say what you really mean by that,” the host pressed.

“What I really mean by that is I’m an American. That’s what I really mean,” Raven replied. “I have darker skin. I have a nice, interesting grade of hair. I connect with caucasian. I connect with Asian. I connect with black. I connect with Indian. I connect with each culture.”

The 20 Most Annoying Liberals of 2013

This is from Town Hall.

I agree with this list.

Honorable Mentions: Bob Beckel, Joe Biden, Bill de Blasio, Michael Bloomberg, Barbara Boxer, Cher, Bob Costas, Al Gore, Alan Grayson, Chris Hayes, John Kerry, Paul Krugman, Ezra Klein, Sheila Jackson Lee, Bill Maher, Mike Malloy, Meghan McCain, Michael Moore, Michelle Obama, Dan Savage, Ed Schultz, Chuck Schumer, Andrew Sullivan, Joan Walsh, Elizabeth Warren, Anthony Weiner

20) Nancy Pelosi: After being displaced as Speaker of the House, Pelosi returned to Mordor, reformed herself as a giant eye and the legends say her minions prepare for war and eternally search for a magic ring that will allow her to return to power.

Defining quote: “Our view of the law is that it — if somebody is here without sufficient documentation, that is not reason for deportation.” —Nancy Pelosi

19) The Southern Poverty Law Center: Ironically, the Southern Poverty Law Center used to do good work cataloguing hate groups around the country, but it’s since become little more than a hate group itself. Floyd Lee Corkins tried to murder people at the Family Research Council because the Southern Poverty Law Center falsely labeled them a hate group. You might think almost getting people killed might make the SPLW reconsider labeling people as hate groups for the sake of politics, but it continued the practice in 2013, even as Corkins faced 25 years in prison for the attempted mass murder that it inspired. That’s why the Southern Poverty Law Center is just as much of a hate group as the American Nazi Party, the KKK or the New Black Panthers.

Defining quote: “While interviewed by the FBI, Corkins admitted that he wanted to ‘kill as many as possible and smear the Chick-Fil-A sandwiches in victims’ faces, and kill the guard.’I was one of those people who could have been his victim. I was on the 6th floor of the FRC building working on my pro-life internship assignments. I could have lost my life. My dear friend Rosa and everyone else in the building, including my boss Jeanne Monahan, now president of March for Life, could have lost their lives.

It saddens me and brings tears to my eyes that a person like Corkins would resort to violence out of political disagreement, especially on the topic of gay marriage. It breaks my heart that Southern Poverty Law Center facilitated his intent to commit such a horrific act of violence by labeling FRC as a ‘hate group.'” — Anna Maria Hoffman

18) Piers Morgan: The last time there were Brits in America who were this annoying, Andrew Jackson drove them out of New Orleans during the War of 1812. Morgan’s pretentious caterwauling about guns would be irritating under any circumstances, but if we wanted to be told what to do by Brits, we wouldn’t have poured their tea in Boston Harbor to begin with.

Hey, @piersmorgan, can you please explain these signs on your Beverly Hills property? http://www.twitpic.com/cghoe4

17) Jay Carney: It’s a little bit of a cheap shot to pick on a White House Press Secretary since by definition, they’re always playing Waylon Smithers to the Mr. Burns in the White House. Yet and still,Carney is such a petulant lick-spittle that it’s hard not to hold him in contempt as you look into his dead little eyes while he spouts lies at each and every press conference.

Defining Tweet:

Carney blows more smoke than a Rastafarian death rattle.

— Dennis Miller Show (@DennisDMZ) May 14, 2013

16) Wendy Davis: Nobody fought harder to kill babies in 2013 than Abortion Barbie. Now she’s trying to turn her lust for dead children into a springboard to make her the next governor of Texas. Good luck with that, Killer!

Defining quote: “The left is in a tizzy on twitter for my referring to pink shoes wearing Texas State Senator Wendy Davis as “Abortion Barbie.” It sums her up perfectly. All the nation knows about Wendy Davis is that she is ignorant of the horrors of Kermit Gosnell, wears pink shoes, and filibustered legislation to save the innocent in Texas. She joined the long line of Democrats before her to oppose legislation to protect other people while using property rights arguments to do so.” —Erick Erickson

15) Kathleen Sebelius: She would be the hapless “Brownie, you’re doing a heck of a job” mope of the Obama administration if there was anybody competent on staff to use in comparison. However, she stands out, even in a Three Stoogesadministration because she’s so far over her head trying to implement Obamacare that it would almost be tempting to feel sorry for her if she weren’t wrecking the lives of tens of millions of Americans in the process.

Defining Tweet:

14) Alec Baldwin: Baldwin was already known as such a pretentious, homophobic creep that conservatives were calling on Capital One to fire him for his gay slurs BEFORE MSNBC ever hired him. Then, MSNBC brought him on board, he allegedly exploded with more gay slurs, and MSNBC execs sent him packing. Why were they shocked? It wasn’t like they didn’t know he was prone to doing that already.

Defining quote: “C**ksucking f*g.” — Alec Baldwin allegedly to a member of the paparazzi in an outburst that cost him his job at MSNBC.

13) Debbie Wasserman Schultz: She’s a bit of a puzzler in that she’s habitually dishonest, nasty, annoying, and generally unlikable; yet she’s risen to become the Chair of the Democratic National Committee. Also, did I mention she’s delusional as well?

Defining quote: Democratic candidates will be able to run on ObamaCare as an advantage leading into the 2014 election!” — Debbie Wasserman Schultz

12) GLAAD: These hypocrites stood strongly behind Alec Baldwin when he shouted homophobic slurs in public, but regularly try to destroy Christians for refusing to toe the liberal line on gay marriage. GLAAD is every bit as much of a rabidly anti-Christian group as it is a pro-gay rights organization. Even people who agree with GLAAD on gay rights shouldn’t be supporting such a hateful, hypocritical group of bullies.

Defining quote: “Is GLAAD’s position so weak, so intellectually indefensible, that it cannot prevail in reasoned debate, and therefore all opposition must be bullied into silence? This is how America becomes divided and balkanized; because groups like GLAAD make civil disagreement impossible.” — V the K at GayPatriot

11) Oprah Winfrey: Oprah Winfrey built a net worth of more than 2 billion dollars on the backs of her white female fans, but suddenly America became an awful, racist country because she had a movie to promote. If this is such a horrible, bigoted country, how is it that Oprah was able to become the most successful black woman on planet earth while living here? Is she just that much more wonderful than everyone else?

Defining quote #1: “There’s a level of disrespect for the office that occurs. And that occurs in some cases and maybe even many cases because he’s African American. There’s no question about that and it’s the kind of thing nobody ever says but everybody’s thinking it.” —Oprah Winfrey

Definining quote #2: “You know, as long as people can be judged by the color of their skin, problem’s not solved. As long as there are people who still, there’s a whole generation – I say this, you know, I said this, you know, for apartheid South Africa, I said this for my own, you know, community in the south – there are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism, and they just have to die.” — Oprah Winfrey

10) Chris Matthews: Aside from constantly claiming to hear the same racist dog whistles that everyone else on MSNBC does (Maybe everyone at that network should get his ears checked), Matthews may be the biggest Obama fanboy on the planet. I’m not entirely sure if Sasha and Malia Obama love their daddy the way Chris Matthews does and if those horrible rumors about the Obama marriage crack-up in the Enquirer turn out to be true, we do know at least one “journalist” who’d be happy to let Bo crash on his couch for as long as he wants.

Defining quote: “I look at Obama as a perfect American,” Mr. Matthews said, according to the show’s transcript. “I don’t mean politically. … But as a citizen. The guy went to school, he never broke a law. He did everything right. He raised a wonderful family. He’s a good husband, a good father. My God, I don’t think he’s ever gotten a speeding ticket. The guy does everything right.” — Chris Matthews

9) Hillary Clinton: Wow, what a role model! She married a guy who screwed half of Arkansas behind her back, leveraged people’s pity for her into a Senate seat in New York and then turned a failed presidential run into an abysmal term as a Secretary of State that was most noteworthy because her incompetence got Americans killed in Benghazi. After all that, she wants to run for President again. Wheeeeeeeeeeee!

Defining quote: “With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night decided to go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?” — Hillary Clinton on her department’s lies to the American people about an Al-Qaeda attack.

5, 6, 7 & 8) Michael Eric-Dyson / Jesse Jackson / Al Sharpton / Touré:All of these men are listed together because they’re such indistinguishable professional race hustlers that they don’t even merit their own entries. All four of these men have managed to turn finding new and creative reasons to call people racists into a profession that’s probably only slightly more reputable than professional kidnapper or puppy torturer (Saddam Hussein probably had one of those, right?).

Defining Conversation: “Matt Lewis: It took 10 minutes — 10 minutes to get to the race issue. Clearly that’s why RepublicansMichael Eric-Dyson: Sir, sir — I didn’t interrupt you when you were offering bromides.

Matt Lewis: I didn’t accused anybody of being

Michael Eric-Dyson: Hold on, I didn’t interrupt you. Don’t interrupt me.

Martin Bashir: Matt, Matt

Michael Eric-Dyson: Don’t deploy the very principles of white privilege to silence a black man on the panel because you don’t want to talk about race. So be quiet.” — Michael Eric Dyson plays the “white privilege card” on Daily Caller writer, Matt Lewis

4) Martin Bashir: Happily, in the unlikely event that Bashir is ever remembered in the history books, it will be as the cable news host who was fired from MSNBC for suggesting that someone defecate in Sarah Palin’s mouth.

Defining quote: “One of the most comprehensive first-person accounts of slavery comes from the personal diary of a man called Thomas Thistlewood, who kept copious notes for 39 years….In 1756, he records that ‘a slave named Darby catched eating canes; had him well flogged and pickled, then made Hector, another slave, s-h-i-t in his mouth.’ This became known as ‘Darby’s Dose,’ a punishment invented by Thistlewood that spoke only of the slave owners’ savagery and inhumanity….When Mrs. Palin invoked slavery, she doesn’t just prove her rank ignorance. She confirms that if anyone truly qualified for a dose of discipline from Thomas Thistlewood, then she would be the outstanding candidate.” — Martin Bashir explains why Sarah Palin should have someone crap in her mouth.

3) Harry Reid: Reid spent 2013 picking on kids with cancer and driving a dagger through the heart of the filibuster, which will make our system of government considerably less stable from here on out. In other words, he’s both a terrible human being AND a terrible Senate majority leader.

Defining quote: “If you can help one child who has cancer, why wouldn’t you do it?,” Bash asked.“Why would we want to do that?” — Harry Reid

2) Melissa Harris-Perry: It’s tempting to lump Melissa Harris-Perry in with the other race hustlers, but her tampon earrings, mockery of Mitt Romney’s adopted child and her creepy, fascistic desire to see children pried away from their parents sets her apart. It’s like Al Sharpton mixed with Leon Trotsky, all rolled up in one hateful package!

Defining quote: “We have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents or kids belong to their families, and recognize that kids belong to whole communities.” — Melissa Harris-Perry

1) Barack Obama: America’s worst President offered up another year of lies, division, vacuous speeches and selfies to go along with what may be the worst government program in America’s history. Ironically, even as his administration proved to be completely incompetent in every facet of governance and utterly lawless, Obama demanded more power over gun laws, immigration, our taxes and our health care. We should be grateful he spends so much time on vacation because the country is safer every time that nincompoop goes out of town.

Defining quote #1: “Now, if you have or had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really liked that plan, what we said was you can keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law passed.” — Barack Obama lies about his “If you like your plan, you can keep it” lie.

Defining quote #2: “Well, you’ve touched on it to a degree. (Obama) made so many promises. We thought that he was going to be – I shouldn’t say this at Christmastime, but – the next messiah.” — If you want to know how a buffoon like this could spend two terms in the White House, this quote from Barbara Walters offers up a lot of insight.

An Open Letter to Oprah (Of Barack and Barry)

This is from The Black Sphere.

I will offer this without comment.

“There’s a level of disrespect for the office that occurs. And that occurs in some cases and maybe even many cases because he’s African American.”

No, Oprah. In all sincerity I disrespect Obama for the same reason I disrespect you… because he is not worthy of respect.

Hard as it is to believe, in some circles of this great and glorious land we call “America,” there are people who think for themselves. These are those who don’t wait for some overpaid, egocentric talk-show host to tell them what to believe, what to think, or how to vote. They are the countless millions who expect others to take responsibility for themselves and their own families.

You see, we grew up in a time when there was no Oprah show to tell us we were poor, downtrodden, mistreated and abused.

Instead, we had to shoulder both trial and tragedy with no one to blame for our state but the man in the mirror. If we succeeded or if we failed, it was because of something we had done, not the color of our skin. There have been many in America of every race who were born into truly poor and terribly disadvantaged homes, yet succeeded wildly. Take Barack Obama (please).

Now, your friend Barack sits between two worlds. “Barack”, the African son of black, Kenyan economist, Barack Obama Sr., and “Barry”, son of white, American economist Ann Dunham.

I don’t believe you understand the quandary you’ve placed yourself in!

On the one hand, you couldn’t help but defend “Barack’s” African-American heritage from the evil white man. After all, no white person could actually be judging the man based upon his actions. Whites are inherently racist, after all.

On the other hand, “Barry” is responsible for one of the largest economic declines for minorities in US history. How could you possibly allow his Caucasian side to get away with leading African-Americans into such a horrible state of affairs?

It appears you want to both have your cake and eat it too (and eat it… and eat it…).

I want to thank you for reminding us all of our apparent racism. I hope you’ll take the time to remind Barry of his.

[VIDEO] Oprah Winfrey tells BBC many Americans hate Obama because he’s BLACK

This is from The Right Scoop.

To Dopey Winfrey I say We do not oppose Obama

because his skin is black but because his soul is black.

Oprah Winfrey is going around the world telling everyone that Americans are racist while she promotes her new film.

Oprah Winfrey has been a prominent supporter of Barack Obama. She thinks that both he and the Office of President have been treated with contempt because of the colour of his skin.

“There’s a level of disrespect for the office that occurs. And that occurs in some cases and maybe even many cases because he’s African American. There’s no question about that and it’s the kind of thing nobody ever says but everybody’s thinking it.”

Letter from young med student: ‘Mr. President, I’m hanging up the white coat’

This is from BizPac Review.

Is this a real letter?

How many medical school students and Doctors felt the same way?

We will see rationing of medical care if this beast is not slain.

med studentIt may be impossible to quantify how much economic suffering Obamacare will wreak on the nation, but at least one medical school graduate believes the health care law will destroy the industry he sought to join.

Michael Gordon Lotfi, who said he graduated with top honors from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., wrote the president an open letter, saying he plans to “hang up the white coat,” according to benswann.com. BizPac Review has not contacted Lotfi to verify the information, but the letter is finding its way around the internet as an example of how Obamacare could impact medical professionals.

Mr. President,

I was born at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. My mother would later take a job delivering babies in that same operating room only a couple years later. My parents got a divorce when I was young. There were many times during the summer when she would be forced to take my sister and me to work with her. I vividly remember the child version of myself walking the halls of the same floor I was born on in fascination as the years passed. The anesthesiologists used to bring us candy and watch movies with us. When the holidays came, a nurse by the name of Patty Vaughn (we called her Granny), would have bags of presents for my sister and me. Donna Smith, a surgical first assistant who came to America from Canada to work in a free-market healthcare system, use to babysit us.

Donna’s two-story town-home became a 3rd home (2nd was the hospital). We spent countless nights at her house.

Patty passed away when I was ten. I still remember the last box of moon pies she gave me for Halloween that year. To this day every time I see a moon pie I think of her. Donna helped me through my undergrad at Belmont University. With tuition at $30k/year money was tight. Donna never let me go without a meal.

You see Mr. President, the smell of sterile operating rooms, horrible coffee, crisp white coats, and cold metal was my destiny. The first time someone ever asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I responded, “Anesthesiologist”. I had no idea what they even did, but it was the first big word I learned to pronounce as a 6-year-old. The hospital is my family. It’s all I’ve ever known.

Twenty-one years after my birth, in the same hospital, I listened to a fetal heart beat through my very own stethoscope as a student. You know, it’s quite magical. As the cool, metallic bell lies upon the tight skin of a young mother’s stomach anxiety, fear and joy are all present in her face. A week before my birthday I stood at the side of the laboring mother. There’s no other way to explain childbirth than witnessing the face of God. The emotion is enveloping. You can only try (unsuccessfully) to hold the tears back. I knew at that moment what a gift God had given me. To be allowed the involvement of such a beautiful, pure moment was not to be unappreciated.

When I started college I knew where I was going. You had just won the election. I remember the cameras focusing in on Oprah Winfrey’s face. Tears streamed down. At the time, I knew nothing about politics. My biggest concern was a girl in my Anatomy & Physiology class I had a crush on. I paid little attention to Washington DC.

I worked hard. Multiple all-nighters, falling asleep behind the wheel of my car countless times, thousands of shots of espresso (I actually took a job at Starbucks to support the habit) and 15k note-cards later I had graduated in the top 5% of the country. However, during those last few years something changed.

We studied medical legislation for an entire semester. It’s no secret that the federal government has over-burdened the healthcare market, which has manifested astronomical costs to consumers. However, in 2010, democrats forced through the partisan Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), which was later funded by both democrats and republicans.

Since the passage of Obamacare everything has changed. When I started college I never intended to work for the government. I never thought I’d have a government bureaucrat dictate what I was worth to the market, and I certainly never imagined those same bureaucrats (who have absolutely no medical training) telling me how to treat my patients.

I remember the day Obamacare became law. I was sitting in the hospital working in the anesthesia department part-time to cover the costs of tuition. Dr. Alfery, a mentor of mine, looked over at me and said, “Run– It’s not too late to change majors.”

Your legislation has caused countless doctors to go into retirement early, opt for cash-only practices, and has discouraged bright, young minds from entering the field.

With student loans reaching $300k, incalculable opportunity costs and 8 years lost to school, students seeking medical degrees give their lives to the practice. Starting our careers at 30 while dictating to us how much money we can make is nothing short of destroying all incentive to enter the field.

Since that day I’ve yet to find a doctor who recommends the field. People respond to my complaints, “It’s still going to be a good job”. I don’t want a “good job”. I have not fought for a government entitlement of a “good job”. I want an incredible career. That’s what I have fought tirelessly for.

I have been on a path to enter the Air Force and continue my education in medicine. I have been dreaming of specializing in pediatric neurosurgery for half a decade.

After quite literally losing my hair from the internal conflict, considering the sunk costs and evaluating different avenues I have decided.

I have decided that I believe in the principles of a truly free-market, and I trust the free-market. Because of this deep, internal value system I cannot, with clear conscience, continue on this path. My life has value. Such value cannot be calculated by Washington bureaucrats. I won’t allow it. Only a true free-market can accurately assess the value I am capable of.

Mr President, I’m leaving the medical field. I’m hanging up the white coat. However, let me be clear. You have not won. Unless something “changes”, you’ve lost and will continue to lose. You will fail because you lack principle. Meanwhile, we will succeed because we are born of principle.

Regards,

Michael Gordon Lotfi

TOP 5 INACCURACIES IN ‘THE BUTLER’

This is from Breitbarts Big Holly Wood.

Like most of the stuff coming out of Holly Weird they rewrite history and

the facts to suit their agenda.

Holly Weird has spent and lost billions of dollars making trash.

The new political drama Lee Daniels’ The Butler takes its cues from a Washington Post article about a black servant named Eugene Allen who worked in eight presidential administrations.

That part of the story is essentially unchanged. The rest of the film, a movie stuffed with politics, historical re-creations and presidential imitations, is rife with inaccuracies that should be corrected.

Note: Some story spoilers ahead …

  1. President Ronald Reagan was indifferent to the suffering of people of color. Breitbart News reported this week that Reagan biographer Craig Shirley shredded this notion by detailing the president’s legislative achievements and personal outtreach to his black peers.
  2. The Democrats helped pass the Civil Rights Act: This is more of an inaccuracy by omission. The film showcases how both Presidents Kennedy and Johnson rallied on behalf of civil rights, but what’s left out is the voting record on the historic Civil Rights Act. Turns out “80 percent of the “no” votes in the Senate came from Democrats, including the late Robert Byrd (W.Va.) and Albert Gore (Tenn.), father of the future vice president,” so Republicans teamed up with President Johnson to pass the legislation.
  3. President Nixon dismissed black Americans–save for their votes: The film shows Nixon (John Cusack) promoting his upcoming election battle with John F. Kennedy by giving campaign buttons to the butler and his fellow black servers. Later, Nixon talks up black enterprise but only with an eye on winning votes. Moviefone.com notes Nixon’s record on school integration outpaced his predecessors, and Allen has spoken fondly of Nixon in press interviews.
  4. The Butler disliked President Reagan: The real Eugene Allen has expressed affection for all the presidents he served, noting he voted for each when they were inhabiting the White House. A framed picture of the Reagans was displayed on Allen’s living room wall, and he noted that Nancy Reagan gave him a warm hug when he finally retired. Hardly sounds like the character in the movie, played by Forest Whitaker, who appeared to be fed up with the Reagans and quit for that very reason.
  5. The Butler met Obama: The film uses a framing device of the titular Butler waiting to meet personally with President Barack Obama. There’s no official record of such a meeting, although Allen was a VIP guest at Obama’s swearing in.

Extra: Screenwriter Danny Strong (Game Change) took tremendous liberties with Allen’s life beyond the name change to Cecil Gaines. Strong gave the butler two sons, not one, made the main character’s wife (Oprah Winfrey) a heavy drinker and fictionalized much of his life story prior to entering the White House.

Oprah Has A Pattern Of False Racism Charges Conveniently Timed To Coincide With Theatrical Releases of Racist Movies….

Hat Tip To Last Refuge.

Oprah Winfrey is a race hustler just like Al Sharpton,Jessie Jackson and

Barack Milhous Capone Kardashian.

They see a racist under every bed and around every corner.

Race relations are lower than any point in modern history thanks to

Al Sharpton,Jessie Jackson and Barack Milhous Capone Kardashian.

Two weeks ago, drumming up attention toward her movie, Oprah Winfrey made the bizarre claim that millions of African Americans were lynched.   Millions.  The true figure is 4,743 with one in four being white (1882-1968).

Last week Oprah Winfrey claimed sheencountered racism in Switzerland while shopping for $30,000+ purses.   [<—we should all be $o unfortunate]

She made these claims while trying to draw attention to her soon-to-be-released movie “The Butler”;  another race-based grievance movie.

The Swiss store, and the hapless victim/clerk she targeted with her accusations, denied the allegations.   Oprah then tried walking back her accusation, well… sort of, but not really, because she’s Oprah, or something.

However, there appears to be a pattern here.

In 2005 while trying to draw attention to another race driven movie, The Crash, she had almost an identical claim.   The 2005 victim of her accusations was located in Paris, France.  The store was “Hermes”:

story.oprah.file.cnn.jpgVia CNN […]  “Crash” is a film dealing with race relations. The phrase “crash moment” refers to situations where a party feels discriminated against on the basis of skin color.

The New York Daily News cited sources close to Winfrey as saying the talk show host was first rebuffed by a clerk and then a store manager. The Daily News reported Winfrey had gone to the store to buy a watch for singer Tina Turner, her dining partner that night.

McIntyre confirmed that account for CNN.

The New York Post, in its Monday Page Six gossip column, reported she was turned away because the store had been “having a problem with North Africans lately.”

In comments to CNN, an Hermes spokeswoman categorically denied that allegation.

“There was never any discussion of North Africans,” she said. “The story is not true.”

The spokeswoman said Winfrey came to the store 15 minutes after closing and a security guard informed her the store was closed and gave her a card, telling her she could come back the next day.

Surveillance videotape of the encounter supports the store’s account, according to the spokeswoman.  (read more)

Oprah Winfrey falsely claims ‘millions’of blacks were lynched

This is from BizPac Review.

Dopey Winfrey like all good leftist loons does not allow facts to get in

of the facts they throw out.

Dopey has had her fifteen minutes of fame and she is trying her place in

the spotlight once more.

Democratic politician Daniel Patrick Moynihan once proclaimed: “Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts.”

An adage that does not seem to apply to media mega-star Oprah Winfrey, who recently claimed the “n-word” was the last thing heard by “millions” who were lynched, Newsbusters reported.

A clear — and blatantly false — implication that millions of blacks have been lynched because of their race.

Winfrey made the comment during an interview with Parade Magazine, as she discussed her role in Lee Daniels’ “The Butler,” a movie that chronicles a black man’s years of service in the White House.

When asked a question about using the “n-word,” Winfrey said:

“You cannot be my friend and use that word around me. It shows my age, but I feel strongly about it. … I always think of the millions of people who heard that as their last word as they were hanging from a tree.”

Interestingly, the inaccuracy went unchallenged by Parade Magazine.

Nearly 3,500 African Americans and 1,300 whites were lynched in the United States between 1882 and 1968, mostly from 1882 to 1920, according to the Archives at Tuskegee Institute.

Winfrey said in the interview that young people today know “diddly squat” about the history of the civil rights movement, however, as Newsbusters pointed out, it would seem that she needs to brush up on her own history.
