This is from Breitbarts Big Journalism.

I hope George is able to collect millions.

The despicable fraud NBC perpetrated needs to be punished.

NBC can no longer claim they are non bias if they ever were.

If you look at this timeline that lists the objectively terrible media behavior in the early days of the Zimmerman case last year, you will see how crucial NBC’s fraudulent editing of a 911 call was in setting a media and political narrative that falsely claimed George Zimmerman is racist.

This malicious edit made it look as though Zimmerman was profiling Trayvon Martin as black, when he was simply answering a dispatcher’s question:

On the storied “Today Show,” NBC News told America Zimmerman said this on the 911 call:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.

When the truth is that the unedited audio actually went like this:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.

Dispatcher: OK, and this guy — is he black, white or Hispanic?

Zimmerman: He looks black.

Once NBC’s fraud was publicly debunked, George Zimmerman filed suit against the network. After his acquittal last week, Zimmerman’s attorneys said they will now turn their energies towards NBC.

Tuesday night, on Fox News, two legal experts appeared on the O’Reilly Factor and agreed that NBC is in hot water and likely to lose millions:

Lis Wiehl, a Fox News analyst, said, “That’s absolutely not enough. NBC is on the hook here for a big defamation, intentional infliction with emotional stress lawsuit here. They doctored that tape. It went out there. It started the whole narrative of Zimmerman being this hardened racist, this profiling racist that started everything.”

Fellow Fox Newser Kimberly Guilfoyle remarked that the case will pivot on whether Zimmerman is considered a public or private figure; the burden of proof in a defamation case is far less demanding for private figures under U.S. law. Though Zimmerman is now a public figure, he was a private figure when this whole episode went down, Wiehl noted.

The report above is from Washington Post media writer Erik Wemple, who agrees that it will cost NBC “big bucks” to make this go away.

My hope, and I say this without any rancor, is that Zimmerman refuses to settle and that the trial is televised live.

Nothing could be better for the country and the media than to pour sunshine on how and why this happened.

Dennis Miller: One Day Someone Will Set Off a Bomb ‘With an Obama Phone’

This is from The Daily Caller.

I will just say right on Dennis Miller.

Our enemy recognition stinks.

We are going to be destroyed by political correctness.

And our Moose Slime President.

On Wednesday’s “The O’Reilly Factor,” show regular Dennis Miller sounded off on the Boston bombing suspects and their connection to the welfare state.

“As far as these two kids go, I got veterans calling in and telling me they’re getting their aid cutback and [Tameran Tsarnaev] is getting welfare, the one on the left,” Miller said as a picture of the brothers appeared on screen.

“One of these days, somebody is going to trigger one of those homemade bombs with an Obama phone.  Can we at least cut the welfare off now? If possible we, in an effort to be more evolved, don’t pay for this kid’s funeral?

I know if we do this in kind that brings us down to their level — that’s a misnomer. It takes us six feet below their level. And we better wake up to this, for God’s sakes.”

Miller then turned to President Obama’s reluctance to call the attack an act of terror in the immediate aftermath of the attacks.

“And you know something, when you say ‘why is the president afraid to say ‘terrorism?’’” Miller said. “Listen, Billy, I’ll be candid with you. It’s one of three things: He’s either stupid, or he is creepy or he’s a genius like HAL 9000, who has thrown a wire and doesn’t quite know what he’s doing.

But we are so polarized in this culture right now, I’m not even sure a good old clash of civilizations is enough to bring us together anymore.”

The former Saturday Night Live player then detailed his ideal punishment for bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

“We should reanimate this one kid and put him back to death. We should de-brainwash the other kid, bring him back and show him the picture of the 8-year-old gap-toothed beautiful boy that he killed so he realizes what he did,” Miller said.

“We should do the Bridge of Sighs thing like they do in Venice where the jailer takes the manacle off for a second and says, ‘Do you want to do yourself?’ Or Tom Hagen goes to visit Frankie Pentangeli in prison and says, ‘Do you want to do the honorable thing?’”

“And if he doesn’t, we should tell we’re going to eventually put him to death,” Miller continued. “But here’s the coda: We’re not going to tell him when it has happened because he didn’t tell them. He’s going to sit in that cell and sometime between his 19th year and the end of his life, we’re going to blow the wall of that cell out. And we’re not going to tell him when it happens.

And if we don’t want to start — if we want to take the high ground in our war on terror — we are going to have the best seat in the house to witness our own demise. Wake up, America.”

O’Reilly then went back to his prior query about Obama and his reluctance to use charged terms like “jihadist” and “Islamic.”

“What are you asking me for — I’m giving you my answer,” Miller said. “You want it? He’s either creepy, he’s either stupid, or like that super computer, he has thrown a gear. But this is crazy what he’s doing here.”

Bill O’Reilly Calls on Congress to Pass Another Gun Law During Heated Segment

This is from The Blaze.

Bill O’Reilly is an out of touch windbag.

I used admire Bill but not any more.

Popular Fox News host Bill O’Reilly called on Congress to pass another gun law in the wake of the Colorado theater shooting. But it’s a position that was unpopular with GOP Rep. Jason Chaffetz (Utah) on Tuesday night’s “O’Reilly Factor.”

O’Reilly believes that the sale of any “heavy” weapon should be reported to the FBI. He called it “common sense” during his segment with Chaffetz. Chaffetz disagreed.

Mediaite has some of the back-and-forth:

Chaffetz said that the FBI should not be given a “master list” of every gun owner in the country, but O’Reilly interrupted Chaffetz to say that he was misrepresenting what he said. O’Reilly said that if you go to flight school, the FBI knows about it, but not if you purchase a machine gun. Chaffetz said O’Reilly’s assertion was “absolutely not true.”

Chaffetz said that anyone who buys heavy weapons has to get a tax certificate from the ATF and pass a background check. O’Reilly countered by pointing out the gun show loophole in the law, to which Chaffetz responded, “You can’t just buy a bazooka.”

The two continued to argue and O’Reilly even began raising his voice with the congressman. And after Chaffetz wasn’t swayed, O’Reilly retorted:

“If the FBI is alerted that somebody is buying 60,000 heavy-duty rounds, they’re going to check it out, because that’s what anti-terrorism is! That’s what they do!… You’re telling me you object to this? This doesn’t intrude on any hunter, anybody with a handgun to protect themself, anybody with a rifle, this is an AK! Come on!”

Chaffetz disagreed: “Absolutely it is.” He even later accused O’Reilly as being “misinformed” about the laws.
