Pentagon Continues Controversial Plan to Slowly Retire A-10 Warthog

This is from War History OnLine.

Leave the A-10 Warthog alone, it can and does get the job done.

Look how long the B-52 Bomber has been around and how many times the B-52 has been upgraded.

The B52 Bomber like the A-10 Warthog gets the job done.

After several years of back and forth speculation and debate over the fate of the highly effective fighter jet, the A-10 Warthog, the U.S. Air Force has announced a temporary reprieve. USAF wants to retire the fleet and replace it with a more costly alternative, the F-35A, but will do so at a slower rate than previously anticipated. However, advocates of the A-10 think that these jets should not be retired at all. They are simply too good at what they do!

The decision of the U.S. Air Force and the Pentagon seems strange to many, given the fighter jets’ efficiently executed air attacks on ISIS targets and success in acting as visible deterrents against Russian aggression in eastern European airspace.

The A-10 Warthog was introduced into service in the mid-1970s. The existing fleet currently consists of approximately 284 jets. Although this aircraft is not best known for its aesthetic qualities, it is unrivalled in its ability to deliver persistent close-target fire attacks without endangering friendly forces.

The U.S. Air Force’s current plan is for the A-10 to remain in action until approximately 2021, although it is thought that this will be a staggered process, where the process of  retiring the aircraft starting as early as next year.

The A-10 community is baffled as to why these relatively economic  jets need to be retired at all and believes that there are decades of life left in the Warthog yet. Despite this decision the jets still continue to be upgraded, using taxpayer money. New sensors and wings have been added and improvements to the cock-pits have been made.

It can be argued that the F-35A fighter jet, which is due to replace the A-10, is not a like for like replacement and will not be able to perform in the same effective way as the A-10 in specialist missions. Brigadier General Thomas Dale discusses how the A-10 is perfectly suited for the variable climate conditions of the Middle East in the book A-10 Thunderbolt II: Operation Enduring Freedom 2008–14 (Osprey Publishing, 2015):

“If you look at a map of Afghanistan, the south is dominated by flat open desert, while the east is filled with significant mountainous features. There are also weather patterns unique to these areas that challenge the ability of aircraft to provide direct support to our ground units. Nevertheless there was a requirement to operate under the weather in tight valleys in the east. Although other airframes were available to the Coalition in-theatre, and they could have performed such a mission, they weren’t optimal for it.”The F-35A also costs in excess of a whopping $100 million per aircraft and runs on a higher per hour operation rate than the A-10.

Supporters of the A-10 Warthog will no doubt continue to apply pressure to USAF for them to reconsider the lifespan of this highly effective and valued aircraft for some time to come.

‘Colossal waste’: DOD slammed for $43M, US-funded gas station in Afghanistan

This is from Fox News.

YGTBSM! I did not know camels used unleaded.

Piss away $43 million on a gas station in Afghanistan, yet gut the military deny them raises and screw with the retirees.

It might be the world’s most expensive gas station — not to mention a gross misuse of taxpayer money, according to a top government watchdog.

The Department of Defense spent $43 million to build a gas station in Afghanistan that should have cost roughly $500,000, the lead oversight team monitoring U.S. spending in Afghanistan has found. The discovery came as part of a broader investigation into allegations of criminal activity within the DOD’s premiere program to kick-start the Afghan economy.

“It’s fright-night at the Pentagon,” John Sopko, special inspector general for Afghanistan reconstruction (SIGAR), told, calling the spending “outrageous to the taxpayer.”

At issue is spending by the Task Force for Stability and Business Operations, known as TFBSO or the Task Force, which ended in March 2015. But most alarming, according to Sopko, is the DOD’s failure to answer questions about the $800 million program and its claim the Task Force’s employees no longer work for the DOD.

“I have never in my lifetime seen the Department of Defense or any government agency clam up and claim they don’t know anything about a program,” said Sopko, a former federal prosecutor appointed by President Obama in 2012 to watch over spending in Afghanistan.

“Who’s in charge? Why won’t they talk?” he said. “We have received more allegations about this program than we have received about any other program in Afghanistan.”

In a report released Monday, SIGAR detailed how TFBSO’s Downstream Gas Utilization Project set out to build a compressed natural gas (CNG) filling station in the Afghan city of Sheberghan in 2011. The U.S. Geological Survey found in 2006 that northern Afghanistan is rich in natural gas reserves, and the Task Force sought to make the compressed natural gas commercially viable by constructing the facility — and more broadly, helping to reduce the war-torn country’s dependence on costly imported gas.

The Task Force struck a contract with Central Asian Engineering, which received just under $3 million from the U.S. government to construct the Sheberghan gas station. Sopko noted the cost of building a similar gas station in neighboring Pakistan is no more than $500,000.

But the final tab in Sheberghan would turn out to be astronomically higher.

The Task Force spent $42,718,739 between 2011 and 2014 to “fund the construction and to supervise the initial operation of the CNG station,” the U.S. military told SIGAR — with “approximately $12.3 million in direct costs and $30 million in overhead costs.”

Who approved all that funding and why are questions the DOD will not answer, according to Sopko.

In an Oct. 22 letter to Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, Sopko asked why no one at the DOD could speak about the nearly-billion dollar TFBSO program, which had reported directly to Carter.

“Frankly, I find it both shocking and incredible that DOD asserts that it no longer has any knowledge about TFBSO, an $800 million program that reported directly to the Office of the Secretary of Defense and only shut down a little over six months ago,” Sopko wrote. “Nevertheless, I intend to continue our inquiry.”

Sopko was responding in part to a June 17 letter from Brian McKeon, the principal deputy under secretary of defense for policy. McKeon had told Sopko in response to earlier questions that “the closure of TFBSO in March 2015 and departure of all its employees have resulted in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) no longer possessing the personnel expertise to address these questions or to assess properly the TFBSO information and documentation retained by WHS in the OSD Executive Archive.”

“It is totally incredible that you now have a ghost program in the Department of Defense,” Sopko told “It’s almost like it’s pixie dust.”

SIGAR said it is unable to determine whether the CNG station in Sheberghan is currently operational. But government documents obtained by the oversight team show that Qashqari Oil and Gas Services — the business that took over the station in 2014 — did not renew its business license six months later, in November 2014.

The TFBSO was originally created by the DOD to revitalize Iraq’s economy after the U.S.-led invasion in 2003. The program was redirected to Afghanistan in 2009 to lead projects supporting economic development.

Sopko said his office has received “numerous allegations” of criminal activity by the Task Force from former employees as well as “current and former uniformed officers who worked over there, other agencies and contractors.” He declined to elaborate on the specifics of the accusations.

A review by shows at least one employee — Joseph Catalino, the former head of the Task Force — is still employed by the Defense Department in a senior role.

According to a congressional source, Catalino was in charge of TFBSO in Afghanistan before beginning work in June as a senior adviser in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict. The DOD’s personnel office confirmed Catalino’s employment and current job title.

A senior defense official, speaking on background, said Sopko and his team have access to extensive records archived with Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), and he disputed any suggestion of a deliberate effort by the DOD to conceal information.

The official, however, told he could not name any current DOD employees with detailed knowledge of the gas station project and said decisions made on its construction predated Catalino’s time as head of the Task Force. The official said he did not know whether the gas station was currently functional.

Sopko said billions of U.S. dollars have been wasted to date in Afghanistan. In its quarterly report to Congress, released Friday, SIGAR said the U.S. has provided $8.4 billion for counter-narcotics efforts in Afghanistan since 2002, yet the country remains the world’s leading producer of opium.

SIGAR’s report on the $43 million gas station spurred outrage among U.S. lawmakers in both parties who called for a thorough investigation into the program’s finances.

“There’s few things in this job that literally make my jaw drop,” Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., said in a statement to “But of all the examples of wasteful projects in Iraq and Afghanistan that the Pentagon began prior to our wartime contracting reforms, this genuinely shocked me.”

“It’s hard to imagine a more outrageous waste of money than building an alternative fuel station in a war-torn country that costs more than 8,000 percent more than it should, and is too dangerous for a watchdog to verify whether it is even operational,” said McCaskill, who penned a letter to Carter on Monday demanding information. “Perhaps equally outrageous however, is that the Pentagon has apparently shirked its responsibility to fully account for the taxpayer money that’s been wasted — an unacceptable lack of transparency that I’ll be thoroughly investigating.”

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, echoed McCaskill’s call for transparency and said, “Under the law, government employees are not authorized to spend tax dollars without proper documentation like contracts, invoices, receiving reports and payment vouchers.”

“If those documents don’t exist, that’s a huge problem,” Grassley said. “The Defense Department needs to come clean, drop the obfuscation, and hold people responsible for a colossal waste of tax dollars.”

Obama Signs Onto 20% Military Retirement Pay Cut

This is from Joe For America.

Obama and the DemocRats are destroying the greatest fighting force the world has ever seen the United States Military.

They are demoralizing our troops cutting their pay and benefits  while allowing trannies and sodomites among their ranks.

The military is being further degraded by making them lower their physical fitness standards to allow women into leadership positions.

Now they are looking at their retirement benefits being slashed by 20%.

Obama stated on Monday that he is supporting a pay cut of 20% for retiring personnel and reducing benefits for those leaving with less than 20 years of service. It’s only a matter of time before these recommendations are realized…..

Obama has been greatly cutting down our military personnel for natural born citizens while simultaneously hiring illegal immigrants. He has also been ending highly successful military programs and allowing different compnents the military to simply degrade, prompting the Washington Times to state that Obama has our decimated our military, leaving the US only ‘marginally able’ to defend itself.

In a letter to congressional leaders, Mr. Obama said the proposals are “an important step forward in protecting the long-term viability of the all-volunteer force, improving quality-of-life for service members and their families, and ensuring the fiscal sustainability of the military compensation and retirement systems.”

Mr. Obama said he has directed his advisers to refine some recommendations, and that the White House will report to Congress on any proposed changes by April 30.

Under the recommendations, the plan would continue to offer full retirement benefits to anyone who has served 20 years or more.

The Military Compensation and Retirement Modernization Commission issued a report in January report calling for shrinking the size of traditional military retirement pay by about 20 percent and offering a defined-contribution benefit for troops who separate before 20 years of service. Lawmakers of both parties raised sharp questions about the panel’s stated belief that the changes will satisfy service members while also saving money for the Treasury.

The commission’s proposal include decreasing the “multiplier” that the Pentagon uses to calculate traditional retirement pensions from 2.5 to 2.0, lowering the initial value of retirement checks by 20 percent.

Under the new plan, the Defense Department also would contribute up to 6 percent of basic pay into individual troops’ retirement savings accounts. The Pentagon already contributes 1 percent automatically, and the added contribution would go to all troops who serve more than two years, whether or not they chose to separate before 20 years of service.

Too bad that Obama doesn’t value our troops as much as they should be. These should be the highest paid people in the nation, for crying out loud! But how could Obama understand THAT…..I just hope the troops don’t suffer much more under his watch.

Report: Pentagon to destroy $1B in ammunition

This is from USA Today.

One more example of  how big of a cluster truck the Pentagon is.

Why no instead of  destroy the ammo just keep it for the troops?

Or better yet put it  for sale to the public?

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon plans to destroy more than $1 billion worth of ammunition although some of those bullets and missiles could still be used by troops, according to the Pentagon and congressional sources.

It’s impossible to know what portion of the arsenal slated for destruction — valued at $1.2 billion by the Pentagon — remains viable because the Defense Department’s inventory systems can’t share data effectively, according to a Government Accountability Office report obtained by USA TODAY.

The result: potential waste of unknown value.

There is a huge opportunity to save millions, if not billions of dollars if the (Pentagon) can make some common-sense improvements to how it manages ammunition,” said Sen. Tom Carper, D-Del., and chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. “Despite years of effort, the Army, Navy and Air Force still don’t have an efficient process for doing something as basic as sharing excess bullets. This Government Accountability Office (GAO) report clearly shows that our military’s antiquated systems lead to millions of dollars in wasteful ammunition purchases.”

The Army and Pentagon, in a statement, acknowledged “the need to automate the process” and will make it a priority in future budgets. In all, the Pentagon manages a stockpile of conventional ammunition worth $70 billion.

The effect of inaccurate accounting of ammunition for troops at war was outside the scope of the study. However, there were limited supplies at times of .50-caliber machine gun and 9mm handgun ammunition at the height of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to a senior military officer who spoke on condition of anonymity to talk about the issue.

“We simply cannot afford this type of waste and ineffectiveness,” Carper said. “The (Pentagon) has a responsibility to efficiently manage its ammunition stocks, not only because it is important to be fiscally responsible, but also because our antiquated ammunition inventory systems can shortchange our war fighters and compromise their ability to complete their mission.”

Other key findings from the report:

• The services have inventory systems for ammunition that cannot share data directly despite working for decades to develop a single database. Only the Army uses the standard Pentagon format; “the Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps operate with formats that are obsolete.”

• The services hold an annual conference to share information about surplus ammunition and swap bullets and other munitions as needed. Data about ammunition left over after the meeting disappears from the books, resulting in an unknown amount of good bullets headed to the scrap heap.

• The Army, although required by regulation, had not reported annually on its missile stockpile until last month, shortly before the GAO study was to be released.

The report illustrates the obsolete nature of the Pentagon’s inventory systems for ammunition. A request for ammunition from the Marine Corps, for example, is e-mailed to the Army. The e-mail is printed out and manually retyped into the Army system because the services cannot share data directly. Not only is this time consuming, but it can introduce errors — by an incorrect keystroke, for example.

Waste, buying new ammunition while usable stockpiles exist, can occur “because the Army does not report information on all available and usable items,” the report states. The annual conference among the services — although it saves about $70 million per year, according to the Pentagon — is inadequate. The services, in fiscal year 2012, exchanged 44 million items, including 32 million bullets for machine guns and pistols.

“Specifically, the Army’s report does not include information from prior years about usable ammunition that was unclaimed by another service and stored for potential foreign military sales or slated for potential disposal,” the report says.

Missiles are another source for concern, the report notes. The Army has an inventory of missiles, including Stingers, Javelins and Hellfires, that has totaled more than $14 billion in recent years. Hellfire missiles have been a weapon of choice for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and in the CIA-run Predator and Reaper drone missions to kill terrorists in places like Yemen.

The GAO found that the Army and its missile command “do not contribute to required annual report.” The reason, Army officials told investigators, is that it “rarely has items to offer for redistribution.”

Without its cooperation, the Army “risks others services spending additional funds to procure missiles that are already unused and usable in the Army’s stockpile.”

The Army, in a statement, said that it began offering that information to the other services last month.

In its recommendations, the GAO urged Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel to require the Army to make known information on all available for use by all services.

A Chilling Reality: the Islamization of Our Military

This is from Clash Daily.

My only comments are WTF and YGTBSM!

Manifestly the Pentagon never received the memo that Islam is at war with Western Civilization. Or, that Islam is a brutally misogynistic ideology bent on the wholesale murder of women who dare show a little ankle.

Oh, and did I forget to mention that its founder, Mohammed–had an unquenchable penchant for little girls?

In short: Islam is evil.

With that established–allow me to enlighten you as to what insanity our Pentagon is currently engaged in. The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) just announced that it will be providing our military with chaplains for active-duty service.

That’s right–our Pentagon is allowing ISNA (a Muslim Brotherhood affiliate) to supply the US military with full time chaplains.

Of course, as I have mentioned many times in my articles–organizations such as ISNA and the Muslim Brotherhood represent the true face of Islam. These groups follow the very paradigm set by the Prophet Mohammed. A paradigm, mind you–that gave us jihad, pedophilia, beheadings, genital mutilations and 9/11.

Furthermore, ISNA was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land terrorism trial which involved funneling money to one of the most brutal and infamous Islamic terrorist organizations in the world–Hamas.

Yeah, that’s right–Hamas.

And when questioned by the Clarion Project about its egregious decision concerning ISNA–the Pentagon released the following statement: “The Islamic Society of North America is one of many religious organizations recognized by the Department of Defense that satisfy the ecclesiastical requirements to endorse qualified religious ministry professionals to serve as chaplains within the military.”

I wasn’t aware that having sex with a 9 year old girl was an “ecclesiastical requirement?”

So, to sum it all up: The Pentagon is allowing an organization that is not only a Muslim Brotherhood affiliate–but also a onetime financer of Hamas to supply our military with chaplains.

That deserves a big–WT*!

Couple this with the Pentagon’s other feckless decision to allow Muslim troops to wear hijabs and beards and we are now witnessing the start of a very chilling reality: The Islamization of our military.

Dear US ARMY:  White, Christian Men Have The “Advantage” Of Being MURDERED BY Minorities

The US Army can refuse the order to propagandize our young, WHITE American males, or guilt them with a load of crap: A new Pentagon manual teaches that white males are ‘privileged’, ‘advantaged’.  This book should be thrown in the ashcan, where it belongs.  I’m sure this is Obama and the Fem-Gestapo that are enforcing this bullsh*t.

Communist, “Liberal” Obama-trons have crafted an evil ARMY manual which LIES to white, young men – advising them they have an ‘advantage’ over everyone else.  This is an outright LIE.  If a white male is walking down the wrong street in any given city, that same white man will end up a dead white male.  So, is this a level playing field?  Nope.  Whites must kiss black and brown ass until they are licking feces.  That’s the facts.  Whites must worship other races, minorities etc.. that are not white–and even then, the Communist, filthy creeps will STILL NOT BE HAPPY.

Unbelievable- Obama regime promotes racial hatred in new Army manual

Note below….these are just more of the whites MURDERED, raped or robbed by Obama’s sons.  This is their ‘privilege’ for being born white and hated in America FOR THEIR SKIN COLOR.

Obama Hates Christianity

This is from Victoria

Every Patriot knew what Obama was and is.

Obama is a bigoted,Anti American, Socialist  S.O.B.

hate chrhate chr

Before you read this List of Facts proving that Obama wants to rid the United States/world of Christianity, let’s remember this quote at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2012 when Obama said, “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.”

Wallbuilders proves Obama is anti-Catholic, anti-Protestant, and anti-religious Jews, so, in summary – anti-Biblical. “And then when his hostility toward Biblical people of faith is contrasted with his preferential treatment of Muslims and Muslim nations, it further strengthens the accuracy of the anti-Biblical descriptor. In fact, there have been numerous clearly documented times when his pro-Islam positions have been the cause of his anti-Biblical actions.”

Here are a few facts taken from a very long list at Wallbuilders of Obama’s anti-Biblical words and actions:

1) Acts of hostility toward people of Biblical faith:

April 2008 – Obama speaks disrespectfully of Christians, saying they “cling to guns or religion” and have an “antipathy to people who aren’t like them.”

November 2010 – Obama misquotes the National Motto, saying it is “E pluribus unum” rather than “In God We Trust” as established by federal law.

October 19, 2010 – Obama begins deliberately omitting the phrase about “the Creator” when quoting the Declaration of Independence – an omission he has made on no less than seven occasions.

May 2009 – Obama declines to host services for the National Prayer Day (a day established by federal law) at the White House.

April 2009 – When speaking at Georgetown University, Obama orders that a monogram symbolizing Jesus’ name be covered when he is making his speech.

14 more facts in this category are listed here.

2) Acts of hostility from the Obama-led military toward people of Biblical faith:

May 2013 – An Air Force officer was actually made to remove a personal Bible from his own desk because it “might” appear that he was condoning the particular religion to which he belonged.

April 2013 – Officials briefing U.S. Army soldiers placed “Evangelical Christianity” and “Catholicism” in a list that also included Al-Qaeda, Muslim Brotherhood, and Hamas as examples of “religious extremism.”

November 2011 – Even while restricting and disapprobating Christian religious expressions, the Air Force Academy pays $80,000 to add a Stonehenge-like worship center for pagans, druids, witches and Wiccans at the Air Force Academy.

June 2011 – The Department of Veterans Affairs forbids references to God and Jesus during burial ceremonies at Houston National Cemetery.

January 2010 – Because of “concerns” raised by the Department of Defense, tiny Bible verse references that had appeared for decades on scopes and gunsights were removed.

June 2013 – The U. S. Air Force, in consultation with the Pentagon, removed an inspirational painting that for years has been hanging at Mountain Home Air Force Base because its title was “Blessed Are The Peacemakers” — a phrase from Matthew 5:9 in the Bible.

There are 26 more facts at Wallbuilders here.

3) Acts of hostility toward Biblical values:

December 2012 – Despite having campaigned to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, President Obama once again suspends the provisions of the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 which requires the United States to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to move the American Embassy there.

July 2012 – The Pentagon, for the first time, allows service members to wear their uniforms while marching in a parade – specifically, a gay pride parade in San Diego.

October 2011 – The Obama administration eliminates federal grants to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops for their extensive programs that aid victims of human trafficking because the Catholic Church is anti-abortion.

September 2011 – The Pentagon directs that military chaplains may perform same-sex marriages at military facilities in violation of the federal Defense of Marriage Act.

July 2011 – Obama allows homosexuals to serve openly in the military, reversing a policy originally instituted by George Washington in March 1778.

(There are 19 more facts in this category at Wallbuilders.)

4) Acts of preferentialism for Islam:

February 2012 – The Obama administration makes effulgent apologies for Korans being burned by the U. S. military, but when Bibles were burned by the military, numerous reasons were offered why it was the right thing to do.

October 2011 – Obama’s Muslim advisers block Middle Eastern Christians’ access to the White House.

August 2010 – Obama speaks with great praise of Islam and condescendingly of Christianity.

August 2010 – Obama went to great lengths to speak out on multiple occasions on behalf of building an Islamic mosque at Ground Zero, while at the same time he was silent about a Christian church being denied permission to rebuild at that location.

April 2010 – Christian leader Franklin Graham is disinvited from the Pentagon’s National Day of Prayer Event because of complaints from the Muslim community.

April 2010 – The Obama administration requires rewriting of government documents and a change in administration vocabulary to remove terms that are deemed offensive to Muslims, including jihad, jihadists, terrorists, radical Islamic, etc.

May 2009 – While Obama does not host any National Day of Prayer event at the White House, he does host White House Iftar dinners in honor of Ramadan.

2010 – While every White House traditionally issues hundreds of official proclamations and statements on numerous occasions, this White House avoids traditional Biblical holidays and events but regularly recognizes major Muslim holidays, as evidenced by its 2010 statements on Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha.

(The rest is here.)

Here’s a partial list from Frontpage Magazine:

1) The O administration “scrubbed all federal law enforcement training materials of such words or phrases as ‘jihadists’ or ‘Islamic terrorists,’ since the use of such terms could be viewed by Muslims as evidence of Islamophobia.”

2) The O administration is targeting Christians in the military; Fox News report Oct. 23, 2013: “Soldiers attending a pre-deployment briefing at Fort Hood say they were told that evangelical Christians and members of the Tea Party were a threat to the nation and that any soldier donating to those groups would be subjected to punishment under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.”

Remember, Fort Hood is where the Muslim soldier Nidal Hasan, shouted “Allahu Akhbar” as he murdered his unarmed fellow soldiers.

Yet, during the pre-deployment briefing at Fort Hood, barely a word was said about Islamic extremism. As one soldier put it, “Our community is still healing from the act of terrorism brought on by Nidal Hasan – who really is a terrorist. This is a slap in the face. The military is supposed to defend freedom and to classify the vast majority of the military that claim to be Christian as terrorists is sick.”

3) An Army Reserve instructor in PA was reported as saying Evangelical Christianity and Catholicism were examples of religious extremism, equating followers with the KKK, al Qaeda and Hamas. His training materials also listed “Islamophobia” as a form of religious extremism.

4) The U.S. military ordered soldiers to remove a cross and a steeple from atop a chapel and to board up cross-shaped windows at a remote American forward operating base in Afghanistan.” They were told the Christian symbols “might offend the Afghan Muslims” whom our soldiers are risking their lives to defend.

5) A Defense Department training document entitled “Extremism” is tied to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) which has an anti-Christian, anti-Tea Party bias. It has labeled the American Family Association and the Traditional Values Coalition as “domestic hate groups”.

6) Atheist activist Mikey Weinstein just got the Air Force Academy to relent and make “So help me God” to be optional in the reciting of their honor code. However, Weinstein responded, “What does it mean, ‘optional’? The best thing is to eliminate it.”

7) “The Obama administration bends over backwards to avoid hurting the sensibilities of Muslims, even referring to Hasan’s jihadist attack at Fort Hood as merely “workplace violence.” But traditional Christians are a subject of mockery and disrespect by this administration.”

You see where this is leading. Our military is being trained to attack U.S. citizens, Christians and conservatives. Dissidents. To seize guns. To seize land. This is communism all over again, but under a new label – “Progressive.”

Donald Trump says he’ll pay for fallen warrior burials cut by shutdown

This is from BizPac Review.

Say what you want about Donald Trump he is stepping up to the plate

to help and Honor our fallen veterans.

I bet the Obama regime prevents Trump from helping the families of fallen veterans.

Billionaire Donald Trump has offered to pick up paying a “death gratuity” to families of four soldiers and a Marine who died in combat in Afghanistan over the weekend after the Pentagon announced it is suspending immediate payments to families of combat fatalities because of the government shutdown.

When service men and women are killed in combat, the Pentagon normally pays families $100,000 to cover funerals and the cost of families to travel to receive the remains of their loved ones.

The Pentagon suspended those payments after the government shutdown, stirring outrage on Capitol Hill.

The House is expected to take up a bill today that would have the payments resume.

In the meantime, Trump has offered to step in, and other private groups have said they will also lend a hand.

UPDATE: The House on Wednesday unanimously passed a bill that would restore the payment, according to The Hill. The bill must now be approved by the Senate and signed by President Obama before it can take effect.

It is outrageous and disgusting that families of U.S. MILITARY personnel killed in action will not be given money for burials. SAD!

If the U.S. Government doesn’t give the money necessary for the burials of our military personnel, I will. The U.S. under Obama’s leadership!

Others on Twitter were quick to respond with offers to help:

Pentagon freezes death benefits for fallen soldiers’ families

This is from Fox News Politics..

Just when you think Obama can not go any lower.

Obama doe some thing to prove you wrong.

This is the lowest thing Obama has done so far.

It’s another ugly symptom of the partial government shutdown — and this time it impacts the families of soldiers who are dying for their country.

The Pentagon confirmed Tuesday that, as long as the budget impasse lasts, it will not be able to pay death benefits to the families of troops who’ve been killed in combat.

“Unfortunately, as a result of the shutdown, we do not have the legal authority to make death gratuity payments at this time,” said Lt. Cmdr. Nate Christensen, a Defense Department spokesman. “However, we are keeping a close eye on those survivors who have lost loved ones serving in the Department of Defense.”

House lawmakers, though, are planning to vote Wednesday on a bill to restore funding for the payments. And Speaker John Boehner on Tuesday accused the Obama administration of needlessly withholding the money.

Boehner claimed a bill passed by Congress and signed by the president last week to pay America‘s troops should have given the Pentagon the latitude “to pay all kinds of bills, including this.”

“I think it’s disgraceful that they’re withholding these benefits,” Boehner said, urging Obama to sign the bill that the House will take up on Wednesday.

The bill would still have to pass the Senate before arriving on Obama’s desk. If that bill fails to pass, the Pentagon says, families will be reimbursed once Congress passes an appropriations bill.

The Pentagon says it has specific instructions from its budget office not to make payments for deaths that occurred after 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2013.

Over the weekend, four soldiers — two of them Army Rangers — and one Marine were killed while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan. The bodies of the four soldiers will be returned to Dover Air Force Base on Wednesday.

Due to the impasse, the families of 25-year-old 1st Lt. Jennifer M. Moreno; 24-year-old Pfc. Cody J. Patterson; 24-year-old Special Agent Joseph M. Peters; 25-year-old Sgt. Patrick C. Hawkins; and 19-year-old Lance Cpl. Jeremiah M. Collins, Jr. will not receive the $100,000 payment that they would have otherwise received within three days of the death.

Adding further insult, the families will have to pay for their own travel to Dover. That’s a bill the Pentagon also says it can’t pay because of the partial shutdown.

Privately, Defense Department officials say they wish they could pay the families and they admit it’s a disgrace that deserves national attention.

“If the department was allowed to make death gratuity payments at any point during shutdown, they would’ve been paid with great relief,” one official said.

Pentagon officials also say Congress was warned prior to the shutdown that these benefits would be stopped.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said during a press conference on Tuesday he would tell those families that their government “let them down.”

After the ceremony at Dover on Wednesday, the families will fly to their home states to conduct private funerals. That’s also an expense the Pentagon says it can no longer pay due to the stalemate.
