Police Officers’ Facebook Page Posts Controversial Memorial Of Michael Brown

This is from Opposing Views.

I had to share this.

A popular page on Facebook, entitled ‘Police Officers,’ recently posted a controversial memorial of Michael Brown, the teen who was killed last year by a cop in Ferguson, Missouri.

The fake memorial reads:

There once was a thug named Brown
Who bum-rushed a cop with a frown
Six bullets later
He met his creator
Then his homies burnt down the town

The Facebook page’s administrator page wrote in the comments section:

Mike Brown chose his path, one that has lead this country into complete divisiveness. He’s not a martyr, he was a thug, who robbed a clerk and then made the adult choice to fight a cop, of which he intended to murder.

Mike Brown and his cronies have been responsible for the perpetuation of a movement founded in thuggery and lies.

At the end of the day, the person truly responsible for the killing of Mike Brown is Mike Brown himself.

There were over 3,000 “likes” for this posting, but The Free Thought Project notes that some police officers were offended by it.

This is from HrtWarming.

I do not know if this is true or not, but it is sure funny.

Do you ever wish you would see a lawyer get caught in their sleazy lawyer logic talk? Not all of us are good at forensics, or care to be, but I’m sure all of you have at least once wished to see a lawyer get pawned in a battle of wits – and not by another lawyer.
If that is you, you’re going to love this.

Myth of Racist Cops: False Narrative of Fact-Averse Liberals

This is from Patriot UpDate.

For as long as I can remember the media has been  painting the police as racist killers.

The bad apples in uniform help make it seem all police officers are the same.

I have several friends and some family members that are in law enforcement so I know the racist narrative is a lie.

Police officers have been getting a bum rap lately.

During the Ferguson fiasco liberals created a false narrative about racist cops, a myth they have perpetuated since.

Jason Riley, senior editorial page writer for the Wall Street Journal, wrote about this false narrative in the January 2015 issue of Imprimis.

Author of the new book, Please Stop Helping Us, the distinguished journalist who happens to be black wrote: “The shooting death of a young black man by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri touched off a national discussion about everything except the aberrant behavior of so many young black men that results in such frequent encounters with police.

We talked about racial prejudice, poverty, unemployment, profiling, the tensions between law enforcement and poor black communities, and so forth. Rarely did we hear any discussions of black crimes rates.”

In his article for Imprimis, Riley put his finger squarely on why I think cops are getting a bum rap. But before getting more deeply into the issue of the false narrative being promulgated by liberals with an agenda, a few caveats are in order.

First, I acknowledge that there are racist cops, although it must be said that not all racist cops are white. Bad cops come in all races. However, I believe that racist cops—regardless of their race—represent a small minority of the nation’s overall police force. Second, I am an advocate of community policing.

However, although this strategy can help relieve tension between police officers and black citizens, it will not solve the problem of black crime in America. In fact, the issue of black crime in America will never be effectively dealt with until we can have an honest dialogue about it. And therein is the rub.

As things now stand, the myth of racist cops is being controlled by people who benefit from perpetuating the false narrative that currently prevails—people such as Al Sharpton and his supporters in the mainstream media.

Any honest dialogue concerning the racist cop myth must begin with some hard facts about black crime in America that liberals demand be ignored. In fact, just bringing up the issue of black crime in America is sure to get one labeled a racist in today’s politically-correct social environment, regardless of the race of the individual who raises the issue.

Ironically, although Jason Riley is black and one of the most distinguished journalists in America, he is just as likely to be labeled a racist for straying from liberal orthodoxy on black crime as are people of other races. In fact, the issue of black crime and other problems in the black community taken together comprise a political mine field for people who—unlike paternalistic liberals—would really like to see life improved for black Americans.

But Riley cares enough to present the hard facts that all Americans—liberals of all races—must understand and accept if we are ever going to make progress on racial issues in this country.

Riley walks courageously into the political minefield of crime, drugs, entitlement, fatherless families, and other destructive issues in the black community—most of them self-inflicted—in his book Please Stop Helping Us and in his article for Imprimis.

As a white journalist, my thoughts on these issues will simply be dismissed by liberals as the racially biased rants of a member of the “great right-wing conspiracy.”

Although they are likely to label Jason Riley in the same way, in truth it is harder for liberals to simply dismiss the thoughts of such a distinguished journalist who happens to be black. Consequently, the facts about black crime contained in this column come from Riley’s article. Using a distinguished journalist who is black and who obviously cares about the plight of black Americans as my source is not likely to change the minds of fact-averse liberals, but it might influence others who have open minds on these issues and would like to see black Americans improve the quality of their lives. Here are some of the hard facts from Riley’s article in Imprimis:

  • The leading cause of death for young black men in America is homicide and 90 percent of these deaths are black-on-black crime. Clearly it is not police officers who are killing young black men. Further, police officers are six times more likely to be killed by a black person than they are to kill one. This is why police officers—including black officers—tend to view young black men with suspicion. They would be unwise not to. Granted this can lead to inconvenient encounters between police and young black men who are not criminals, but the blame for this unfortunate circumstance lies with those who create the perception of young black men as criminals, not with those who develop this perception on the basis of experience.
  • Blacks commit a disproportionate number of the crimes in America. Blacks comprise approximately 13 percent of the U.S. population but account for almost 50 percent of the murders. Further, the arrest rate for blacks for such crimes as aggravated assault, robbery, and property damage is more than two times their representation in the population. Once again, this tendency to commit a disproportionate number of crimes is why police officers often approach young black men with suspicion and even trepidation. Experience is the most effective teacher known to man, and police officers should not be criticized for learning from experience.
  • Liberals want to blame the disproportionate involvement of blacks in crime on poverty and racial bias. But even a cursory glance at the facts belies this assertion. If crime was caused by poverty, all poor people of all races would be criminals. Since this is hardly the case in the population in general or within the black community, the high crime rate among blacks cannot be blamed on poverty. But what about racial bias? This assertion fails to explain the data either. In the 1940s and 50s when the racial bias and discrimination of Jim Crow were at their peak, the crime rate among blacks was much lower than it is now. Further, black poverty was much more prevalent in the bad old days of Jim Crow, yet black crime was significantly lower than it is now in the age of Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action, integration, and voting rights for all. In fact, the highest crime rates in America occur in cities governed by black public officials, including black mayors and police chiefs.

In his article for Imprimis, Jason Riley quotes the late Harvard professor, William Stuntz, on the issue of black crime in America. Stuntz said: “High rates of black violence in the 20th century are a matter of historical fact, not bigoted imagination. The trends reached their peak not in the land of Jim Crow but in the more civilized North, and not in the age of segregation but in the decades that saw the rise of civil rights for African Americans—and of African American control of city governments.”

I will give Jason Riley the last word on this subject: “Liberal elites would have us deny what black ghetto residents know to be the truth. These communities aren’t dangerous because of racist cops or judges or sentencing guidelines. They’re dangerous mainly due to black criminals preying on black victims. But pointing this out has become almost taboo. How can we even begin to address problems if we won’t discuss them honestly?”

Another police officer shot by black thug

This is from the American Thinker.

This is why so many blacks have bad experiences with police officers because of these thugs and the no snitching policies of the black community.

It is time for the good black people in these communities    to expose these thugs and get them locked up.

The ubiquitous anti-cop vitriol coming from all directions in the last few months is making it more dangerous for police to protect inner-city neighborhoods. Since police officers Ramos and Liu were murdered two weeks ago in New York, cops elsewhere around the country have been shot at, threatened, and killed.

In Richmond, Virginia, on January 2, an officer responding to a “mental health situation” call in the city’s east end met a barrage of bullets as he stepped out of his police cruiser.
Witnesses at the scene stated that Tamar X. Harris, a 20-year-old black male, was sitting on a rock next to a home where kids were playing when Officer William Turner, a 31-year-veteran of the department, pulled up.  Harris allegedly made his way across the street, and as Turner went to get out of his vehicle, the suspect started shooting.

Although Turner was hit in the abdomen and a bullet grazed his head, he was able to return fire, wounding the suspect.  Turner was listed in critical condition on Saturday and expected to live.  The press is not saying who made the call or even if the mental health report was about Harris.

Moreover, the spin is already happening, with shocked friends and neighbors claiming that Harris could hardly stand up due to a gunshot injury he sustained in the face a few years back.  Yet Harris’s Facebook page doesn’t show him on crutches or in a wheelchair or mention any trips to a psychiatric facility.  What it does reveal is exactly what cops are up against when they get called into places like Fulton Hill in Richmond.

Harris’s FB page, using the name “TaMar Ontheblade Harris,” has graphic sex talk, depraved meanderings, handfuls-of-cash pics, a post about his first gun, a post about being locked up, and one horrific video he posted from somebody else’s page showing a young girl getting her head blown off to some Middle Eastern song in the background.  Harris’s caption for the video?  ‘B***h u should of stayed faithful.”

Being a cop nowadays, with hundreds of these warped, violent, gang-banging thugs practically getting the green light from top government officials, is more frightening than ever.

Why Should The NYPD Stand Up, If Almost Nobody Else Will?

This is from Clash Daily.

If the NYPD cannot get anyone in power in New York to stand up for them, why should they risk their necks?

A few days ago I found myself arguing with some idiot about the Michael Brown/Darren Wilson case.

“Have you even looked at the mountain of eyewitness testimony and other evidence showing that Wilson acted legally, in self-defense?” I asked the nutjob.

“I don’t have to. I just know Wilson lied,” was his reply.

What are we supposed to do with the endless mobs of people like this?  They’re smashing property, attacking and murdering random police officers and civilians, burning down buildings, storming police stations, clogging up our roads, shutting down commerce, keeping people from getting to work or home from work, and generally doing the same type of thing the current top law enforcement officer in the land, Eric Holder, did himself while a student at Columbia University.

That’s right, The Daily Caller reported that in 1970, Holder was a member of a militant group of armed black radicals who not only took over the Dean’s office, but also campus ROTC headquarters, demanding that the space be renamed “The Malcolm X Lounge.”

Back then, the authorities were terrified of the consequences of standing up to the black mob, and the space was renamed.

Eric Holder the militant black terrorist got his way.

That was then.  This is now.  Now, we learn that Eric Holder’s DOJ has doled out at least 1.5 million of our tax dollars to a group which used some of the funding to make a rap video urging the murder of white police officers.

But wait!  There’s more!  If all that isn’t bad enough, the black Muslim who recently executed the two NYPD officers in cold blood worked for one of Barack Obama’s key Islamic advisors.

I could go on and on and on, with countless examples of other horrors in high places and on the ground across this country.  But what’s the point?  Neither you, nor anyone with the power to do so are really going to do anything about it all, and the mobs know it.  That’s why they do it.

Or am I wrong?  Are you going to do something?

I happen to know exactly what we should do with these lawless scum.  I also know what my chances of getting elected to any kind of political office look like.

But if I’m wrong, tell me.  I’m at my post seven days a week, including holidays

APPRECIATED: An Open ‘Thank You’ to Police Officers

This is from Clash Daily.

Clash Daily Contributor

For much too long in America, Police officers have been taken for granted, disrespected, misunderstood, abused, ignored, scorned and ridiculed. I am not saying that every single police officer throughout our nation is a perfect little angel. But I am willing to wager that the majority of the men and woman in blue are fantastic, well-intentioned guardians of our communities. So I believe it is high time that “We the People” consider that the overwhelming majority of police officers are honorable, sovereign Americans who willingly risk their lives to protect you and me.

It is a sad reflection on the current state of affairs, that a police officer who defended himself from a bullying brute has to give up his livelihood and probably get out of town. Yet the thugs who increased the Ferguson unemployment rate by destroying and robbing from businesses are roaming free. I for one have both witnessed and experienced the helpful kindness of police officers throughout the years. I will never forget the time I locked my car keys in my automobile. Upon returning from an appointment in Grosse Pointe Park, MI I saw my keys sitting right on the drivers seat. While standing there pondering my course of action, a police officer on patrol stopped and asked if I was okay.

After explaining my predicament, he kindly told me to “hang tight for a few minutes” and drove away. To my pleasant surprise, it was not long before the patrolman returned. Within a short span of time he easily unlocked my auto with a device he retrieved from the police station. I was most appreciative of the friendly member of the thin blue line who went out of his way to help this (at the time) forgetful driver.

It is becoming more irritating to witness the seemingly ongoing efforts by the dragon media and street cretins who seem to work in tandem, to discredit and discourage local police officers. Could it be that some folks in power would love to establish a national police force as well?

The riots of Ferguson, Mo along with the dishonorable actions over the years of the NAACP, Al Sharpton, Bill Ayers, the step baby daddy of Michael Brown and others fully exposes the deviant mission of that anti law and order ilk. As with progressives in general, the goal of those stalwarts of statism is to disrupt and destroy the normal and blessed flow of American life. If you don’t believe me, how do you explain why liberals and progressives in general only support policies that hinder families, erase economic prosperity, minimize the importance of morality and always advocate abortion, along with hatred of the local police? The number one cause of death for American born black males is murder, by other blacks, NOT POLICE OFFICERS!!

In fact, in far too many black American dwellings, most black boys are cursed by their so called mothers, long before they reach the age of accountability. They are told “”they are no good”, “they ain’t nothing” then folks wonder why they turn out that way. The power of life and death is in the tongue, it is high time that black mothers start speaking better words over their children. That’s if they wish to see more positive results.

According to a recent article in CNS NEWS, the enablers of insanity known as liberals, progressives or Democrats indirectly and in some cases directly promote crime and hatred for positive authority, essentially saying to “black kids, it is okay, you don’t have a daddy, go rob a store.” It is as plain as daylight, that liberals, progressives, socialist Democrats or whatever, don’t have America’s best interest at heart. Their denigration of local cops is part of the mission of “Transforming America.” They fully understand that a house divided against itself shall not stand.

That is why those of us who appreciate our local police officers had better be willing to defend the thin blue line and other positive elements of our communities and nation as a whole. We must shun the persuasions of those secretly racist liberals who seek to use young black males (and some black females) as useful idiots of destruction. Before it is too late we must promote and teach what is righteous and wholesome to our nation’s young sovereigns.

Let us no longer fear to promote and encourage the traditional family, where Dad is the head of the household. To do that would help establish structure and a healthy view of authority. Just that alone will go a long way toward reestablishing respect for the local police, private property, and even self respect.

Are all police officers great? No! But in every vocation, there are a few bad apples. But that is no excuse or reason to impugn an entire group. After all, isn’t that the type of discrimination that blacks, particularly black men, have battled against (real or imagined) for decades? So by God’s grace, let us as Americans work together to heal, not harm our Republic.

Last but not least, respect the local police officers in your city, town, or hamlet. The police officer you see one day, may be the one who might have to come to your aid in the future.

To local police officers throughout America, thanks for all you do.
