An Open Letter to Obama, Holder, Sharpton and DeBlasio on “Retraining Law Officers”

This is from Joe For America.

Bravo, Kenneth Gross Bravo.

An open letter to President Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, Mayor Bill deBlasio and Rev. Al Sharpton in regards to “Retraining Law Officers”. You won’t want to miss this one written by a retired police officer:

Dear Sirs,
Contrary to what you gentlemen might believe, my “training” to become a Law Enforcement Officer started long before the police academy. It started long before I even thought of becoming a police officer.

You see, gentlemen, my “training” started shortly after I was born and it started right in my own home.

My parents, my family, my relatives, my siblings, my friends’ parents, my neighbors, my church, my school, my teachers, my athletic coaches all played a part in my “training.”

From a very early age I was “training” to be respectful, compassionate, understanding, strong, determined, courageous, faithful and, above all, responsible for my own actions.

What I learned in the academy is that every recruit/cadet had about the same “training” that I had. We all arrived with the same morals and the same goals. We all wanted to Protect & Serve. What didn’t matter was skin color, gender, ethnicity or religion.

Throughout the academy, the previously mentioned attributes were discussed at length, but “training” also included how to deal with people who did not have the same level of “training” that we had come to understand as normal behavior.

Unfortunately our society has created a gap in “training” for the less fortunate and the self-entitled. Politicians have promised CHANGE time and again only to keep dumping mounds of cash on the situation and never addressing the real issue.

The less fortunate do not need handouts — they need jobs. They need to feel a sense of purpose and self-satisfaction from accomplishments. They lack of self worth becomes an excuse for accepting criminal behavior as a way of life. If I can’t earn what I want, I might as well take what I can get. If I’m not accepted by society, maybe I can be accepted by a gang.

Teach a man to fish.

Welfare was not intended to raise 4-5 generations. It was meant to assist those who’ve fallen on hard times. With the lack of jobs and no promise of a future, crime becomes an acceptable behavior.

Police officers are the Thin Blue Line between a civilized society and total anarchy. The police did not create this problem. The police did not make the laws. The police did not create criminals.

You four gentlemen have made numerous statements blaming the police and their “training.” We need to think about your words in recent speeces and statements.

Less than 1% of all police officers are involved in any miscondict (and this does not mean criminal misconduct), yet you gentlemen have made more than your share of statements inferring that the police are the MAIN PROBLEM.
When you four gentlemen make statements that ALL police need “RETRAINING,” you do exactly what you accuse the police of doing.

Mr President and Mr. deBlasio, there are SOME politicans who are corrupt. Does this mean that YOU are corrupt? Mr. Holder, SOME lawyers are criminals and drug addicts. Does this mean YOU are a drug dealer or abuser? Rev. Sharpton, some men hide behind God to molest children — are YOU a pedophile?

Yet all four of you have lumped ALL policemen and policewomen as racists in need of “training.” What’s even worse is that you four have done this after two recent events and before ALL THE FACTS were known.

Both instances, while tragic, had zero evidence of any racist behavior on the part of law enforcement. Yet all four of you believe ALL police need “training.”

The four of you have failed at your mission. It started by making inflammatory remarks against police prior to hearing the evidence. It continued by all four of you failing to denounce criminal behavior at so-called “peaceful protest.”

And you have failed by not standing behind the law of the land when you decided that two grand juries were wrong — the same laws that helped you all get the positions you hold today.

The four of you might need some “training.” You might need to be reminded that your jobs are to bring us all together on the RIGHT side of the law.

This will only be accomplished when gentlemen such as yourselves stop blaming the police and start teaching men to fish rather than giving them a fish.

AUTHOR: Retired New Jersey State Police Sgt. Kenneth Gross

Well written words that we need to follow. Teach others to fish. Do good. Be kind. Realize that others need you as an example, and live life as the template for them. We can change the world, one fish and fisherman at a time.

One of Congress’ First Female Combat Veterans Smashes Obama’s Refusal to Label ISIS as ‘Islamic’

This is from Independent Journal Review.

How long before Nancy Piglosi and her goon squad start  harassing  Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) to make her move back to the Obama Plantation?

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) is making waves as she criticizes President Obama on his refusal to “legitimize” ISIS by calling them Islamic.

According to ABC News:

“Known as a rising political star, the Hawaii Democrat is one of the first two female combat veterans elected to Congress. She did [two] tours in Iraq, and doesn’t hesitate to make her opinions known when it comes to defense issues. For instance, in 2013, she broke with the Obama administration by refusing to support airstrikes against Bashar al-Assad in Syria.”

In a 2013 piece for The Huffington Post, Gabbard explained her reasons for going against the administration on Syria:

“War is hell. But, as a soldier and combat veteran, I know it is sometimes necessary…Intervention of this sort requires a high bar for me to support–that it is in our nation’s security, diplomatic and moral interest…

The proposed intervention in Syria does not meet this test. I spent the last week with an open mind, examined the evidence, heard the Administration’s arguments…I have concluded that intervention in Syria goes against America’s national security, international credibility, economic interest, and moral center.”

Gabbard is no pushover, nor is she one to agree with the party line. Gabbard has made her opposition to President Obama’s refusal to label ISIS as “Islamic” known, appearing on both CNN, and Fox News to explain her concerns.

During an interview Wednesday with Fox’s Neil Cavuto, Gabbard explained her motivations in three parts:

First: If we don’t identify our enemies, we cannot defeat them.

“Unless you accurately identify who your enemy is, then you can’t come up with an effective strategy, a winning strategy to defeat that enemy. My concern here with the summit that’s happening right now in Washington is that it really is a diversion from what our real focus needs to be, and that focus is on this Islamic extremist threat that is posed not only to the United States and the American people, but around the world.”

Second: The administration’s explanations for extremism are incorrect.

“From what we’ve heard so far, the administration is really claiming that the motivation or the — the thing that’s fueling this terrorism, around the world, is something that has to do with poverty, has to do with a lack of jobs, or lack of access to education, really a materialistic motivation. And therefore, they are proposing that the solution must be to alleviate poverty around the world, to continue this failed Bush and Obama policy of nation building.”

Third: ISIS is radically theological, not simply materialistic.

“The danger here is, again, that you’re not identifying the threat, and you’re not identifying the fact that they are not fueled by a materialistic motivation, it’s actually a theological, this radical Islamic ideology that is allowing them to continue to recruit, that is allowing them to continue to grow in strength and really that’s really fueling these horrific terrorist activities around the world.”

Gabbard’s position against the President has garnered some bad press. The editorial board at The Honolulu Civil Beat published a scathing piece on Gabbard, arguing that her positions are simply semantics:

“Gabbard’s argument largely boils down to…dubious ideas…only in specifically, publicly tying terrorists to their religious ideology can the White House truly understand where the terrorist organizations recruit, how they think, etc. [and] his failure to use Gabbard’s preferred phrasing means he doesn’t ‘get’ any of this in the first place. Let’s be clear: These are not serious policy arguments.”

The article goes on to question Gabbard’s motivations for going against Obama, strongly implying that she simply wants to further her political career.

The attacks on Tulsi Gabbard  date as far back as 2012, when The Daily Kos railed against Gabbard, suggesting that ties to her father–a former State Senator–was a sign of nepotism, and a source of dangerous policy ideas.

Regardless of the ongoing attacks on her character, and her policy, Congresswoman Gabbard doesn’t seem to be interested in backing down.

Flashback Friday: Reagan’s Response to Terrorism Stands In STRONG Contrast to Obama’s

This is from Independent Journal Review.

Ronald Reagan was a true leader and an inspiration.

Barack Obama is a limp wristed Nancy boy.

Both President Reagan and President Obama had to deal with terrorist actions during their time in office, but their responses couldn’t be more different.

After ISIS beheaded several American citizens last summer, Obama said in a press conference:

I have consulted in Congress throughout this process. As our strategy develops we will continue to consult with Congress. But I don’t want to put the cart before the horse. We don’t have a strategy yet.

On April 14, 1986, while announcing air and naval strikes against Muammar al-Qaddafi and the Libyan regime, Reagan was emphatic in his resolve to eliminate any terrorist threat.

Colonel Qadaffi is not only an enemy against the United States….He has sanctioned acts of terror in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East…and for us to ignore by inaction the slaughter of American civilians and American soldiers, whether in nightclubs or in airline terminals, is simply not in the American tradition.

When our citizens are abused or attacked anywhere in the world on direct orders of a hostile regime, we will respond so long as I’m in this Oval Office. Self defense is not only our right; it is our duty. It is the purpose behind the mission undertaken tonight, a mission fully consistent with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.

He counted on America to be passive. He counted wrong.

There should be no place on earth where terrorists can rest and train and perfect their deadly skills. I meant it. I said that we would act with others if possible to ensure that terrorists have no sanctuary anywhere. Tonight, we have.

The differences don’t end there. The Obama administration has a high bar for what they consider “terrorism,” and the Taliban doesn’t qualify:

The Taliban is an armed insurgency, ISIL is a terrorist group. We don’t make concessions to terrorist groups.

That’s an important distinction to remember since the current President actually negotiated with the Taliban to free suspected military deserter Bowe Bergdahl.

Random Thoughts

This is from Thomas Sowell in Town Hall.

Measles like many other diseases were almost eradicated in the United States now they are running rampant due to the illegals crossing our borders.

Random thoughts on the passing scene:

Who says President Obama doesn’t promote bipartisanship? His complicity in Iran’s moving toward nuclear bombs has alarmed some top Senate Democrats enough to get them to join Republicans in opposition to the Obama administration’s potentially suicidal foreign policy.

Before the current measles outbreak, measles was once almost wiped out in the United States. But an article in a medical journal more than a decade ago had many parents afraid to have their children vaccinated, for fear that the vaccine causes autism. After scientific studies refuted that claim, the medical journal repudiated the article, and the doctor who wrote it had his license revoked.

If not a single policeman killed a single black individual anywhere in the United States for this entire year, that would not reduce the number of black homicide victims by one percent. When the mobs of protesters declare “Black lives matter,” does that mean ALL black lives matter — or only the less than one percent of black lives lost in conflicts with police?

In politics, never assume that because something is insane, it will not be done. The Holocaust was as insane as it was a moral horror. But it was done. Even after the tide of war turned against Germany and it faced invasion and devastation, Hitler continued to pour scarce resources into the mass killing of people who were no threat.

When someone tries to lay a guilt trip on you for being successful, remember that your guilt is some politician’s license to take what you worked for and give it to someone else who is more likely to vote for the politician who plays Santa Claus with your money.

So long as public schools are treated as places that exist to provide guaranteed jobs to members of the teachers’ unions, do not be surprised to see American students continuing to score lower on international tests than students in countries that spend a lot less per pupil than we do.

Would you go to a funeral if you knew that your presence would be unwelcome and would just add to the pain of the mourners? Probably not. But New York’s mayor Bill de Blasio went to both funerals for the two New York City policemen recently murdered — and gave speeches. That epitomized what a truly despicable human being he is, even by the low standards of politicians.

Demographic “diversity” is a notion often defended with fervor but seldom with facts.

Few things are more irritating, or more phony, than statements from various organizations about their “privacy policy.” What that really means is their invasion of privacy policies — how much information about you that your bank, hospital or Internet service is going to pass on to other people without your permission.

Somewhere Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes says that the purpose of an education should be to produce a mind that cannot be humbugged. But today our educational system, from kindergarten to the universities, is engaged in the mass production of fashionable humbug — propaganda rather than education.

Some people see discrimination when schools punish black students more often than white students. But schools punish white students more often than Asian students. Lenders turn down black applicants for loans more often than white applicants — but they turn down whites more often than Asians. Most statistics on such things omit Asians, rather than spoil a politically correct story.

President Obama may have gained something politically or ideologically by recognizing Cuba, but just what did the United States gain? Like so much that has been done by this administration, the diplomatic recognition of Cuba demonstrates how safe it is to be our enemy, while our policies toward Ukraine and Israel demonstrate how risky it is to be our ally.

Despite radical feminist organizations’ frequent bursts of outrage, these same radical feminists’ response to the mass capture of school girls by Islamic terrorists in Nigeria, and turning those girls into sex slaves, has been strangely muted. Is this because there is no political mileage or lawsuit settlements to be achieved by expressing outrage at such unconscionable raw savagery in Nigeria?

The Race Card Cometh Yet Again (Again)

This is from Town Hall.

The DemocRats are the masters of playing the race card.

I found this picture on Facebook it explains why DemocRats need the race card.

When it comes to life’s guarantees, there’s death, taxes, death taxes, the tides, the Chicago Cubs not winning a World Series, and the race card being played by Democrats as an election approaches.

With less than two weeks to go before this year’s mid-term elections, that last guarantee is in full effect.

Polls show Democrats aren’t very excited at the prospect of voting next month. They’re disappointed by the president’s failures and the fumbles by their candidates. But make no mistake – they will vote, and they will vote for the Democrats.

Polls on enthusiasm are interesting but irrelevant in terms of results. The vote of people who march into a polling place with a smile on their face and all the hope in the world in their hearts counts the same as the vote of someone reluctantly sulking in the booth next to them.

It’s down to headcount now – who can get people to show up and vote.

To that end, Democrats are starting to panic. Without President Obama on the ballot, many reliable Democratic voters simply don’t care about the election. The party must do whatever it can to get those people to the polls.

Democrats worry most about black turnout, so we’re seeing efforts to “inspire” black voters to go to the polls. Their tactic is humans’ greatest motivating force—fear.

In Georgia, where Democrat Michelle Nunn is battling with Republican David Perdue, Democrats are circulating fliers telling voters to vote if they “want to prevent another Ferguson.” This reference to the shooting of an unarmed black man by a white police officer was roundly condemned by everyone except Democrats. Nunn refused to disavow it. She hopes this race-based appeal will motivate more black voters to the polls than it will turn off.

In North Carolina, a shadowy group supporting Democratic Sen. Kay Hagandistributed fliers on cars at a black church that warned, “If Kay Hagan doesn’t win! Obama’s impeachment will begin! Vote in 2014.” Those words were superimposed over an actual picture of a lynched black man and a crowd of white onlookers. The message is clear – vote for the Democrat to stop the black president from being lynched. Ironically, the white men in the picture most likely were Democrats, given the party’s history of segregation and racism.

Those events took place in states where Republicans routinely win statewide, but this disgusting phenomenon isn’t relegated exclusively to red states.

Two of these events took place this week in Maryland, one of our bluest states.

The race for governor of Maryland was a formality, or at least that’s what conventional wisdom told us. Democratic Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown was all but assured victory, running in a state with a 2 to 1 voter registration advantage over Republicans. Brown had the added advantage of history, running to be the first black governor in a state with a large black population.

But Brown is an uninspiring candidate running an uninspiring campaign in a state weary of the failures of the previous eight years of Democratic rule. Moreover, he is best known for being in charge of setting up Maryland’s Obamacare exchange, a process that failed so miserably the state abandoned the effort and purchased a system from Connecticut. And he’s running against a successful small businessman in Larry Hogan, who has a vision for the state. In an election experts predicted would be a double-digit Democratic victory, it’s a 1-point race.

That closeness explains why the Democratic Party turned to race this week.

First Democrats sent out a mailer to black voters that invoked segregated waiting rooms and anti-civil right marches and equated voting for Brown with Martin Luther King’s March on Washington. (Seriously, take a minute, click here and see for yourself.)

The next day, black voters got another flier drawing a direct line from Martin Luther King to Barack Obama to Anthony Brown. Worse, it used the racially charged events in Ferguson, Mo., as an example of ways Republicans are “still trying to hold us back.” (Again, take a minute, click here and see it for yourself. I ask you to share both on Facebook and Twitter because people need to see the depths to which Democrats will go to scare people to win.)

These examples of depravity and desperation are not the actions of a confident party. Democrats are worried, and rightly so. But if conservatives, libertarians and Republicans sit out Nov. 4 to either “send a message” or because of apathy toward the party or a candidate running in their state, these tactics will be rewarded with governor’s mansions and maintained control of the Senate. And, ultimately, more control over your wallet, your liberty and your life.

If that happens, two years from now there will be nothing to stop more thinking like this from moving into the White House. The choice is yours.

If Obama Acts Alone on Immigration, House Judiciary Chairman Vows Court Challenge

This is from The Daily Signal.

This sounds really good the big question is will the GOP pull the trigger to start this fight?

I have my doubts.

Editor’s note this was scheduled at 1600 I screwed up and put the wrong day.

The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee says Congress should “go to court very quickly” to stop President Obama if he decides to act alone on immigration by deferring deportations and offering work permits to millions of people in the U.S. illegally.

“If the president were to take further action, I believe it would be very important for Congress to undertake a challenge to that,” said Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, at a Heritage Foundation event about Obama’s use of executive action.

“I would hope we would go to court very quickly and seek an injunction restraining the administration from granting those kind of work authorizations that I don’t think the law in any way provides for,” Goodlatte said.

Obama said last month that he plans to put off executive action on immigration until after the November midterm elections, citing the surge of unaccompanied children who flooded the U.S. border with Mexico this summer—and political concerns—as the reasons for the delay.

Even though the House has rebuffed attempts to revive comprehensive immigration reform during the border crisis this summer, Goodlatte said Obama should work with Congress to make an changes to current policy.

Goodlatte argues that because Obama announced he would act alone, it discouraged Democrats from undertaking serious negotiations in Congress.

“Most people feel immigration reform is needed, but there’s disagreement on what it should be,” Goodlatte said.

But when you try to bring legislative bodies together and you have to work out the differences and in the middle of that the president says, ‘Here is my list of things and if you don’t do it I will,’ those who agree with the president’s policies can sit back and say, ‘Well I don’t need to enter into tough negotiations about what needs to be done to enforce the law or reform the law and instead, I will just wait for the president to act.’

Besides effectively expanding his Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which delays deportation for certain immigrants who came to the United States illegally as children, Obama is also expected to pursue changes that would produce more legal visas for people wanting to work in the United States.

No matter the form of action, Goodlatte vowed to fight it.

“The president does not have the authority to act,” Goodlatte said. “We should challenge.”

Obama’s latest NATO comments: 6 piles of bovine excrement

This is from Allen B. West.

I’m listening to President Barack Hussein Obama read more empty rhetoric and here is my assessment during his NATO press conference as he shoveled it on.

1. He stated that NATO’s “combat” mission in Afghanistan will end in three months — I hope they sent the memo to the Taliban and got their consent. Obama just doesn’t seem to understand the enemy has a vote, and they are not disrupted, defeated, and certainly not destroyed – we’re just quitting again.

2. He stated we’ll defend every NATO ally — he should have expressed how, because Obama’s decision to cancel the missile defense shield sent a very telling message to Eastern Europe and Vladimir Putin.

3. Obama committed to a NATO rapid response force — what forces? I served in 1984-1987 in the NATO Allied Mobile Force (Land) which was comprised of several National Airborne units — mine was based out of Vicenza Italy. Obama is cutting our U.S. military – funny, since he stated that all NATO member countries agreed to a 2 percent of GDP increase in military spending — he ain’t doing it!

4. Obama committed unyielding support to Ukraine and its sovereignty — well, kinda late since Russia has the Crimea and is building a land bridge through eastern Ukraine as well. Obama said support to Ukraine will be via non-lethal support. But in case he hasn’t read his intel briefs, Russian military forces have invaded Ukraine and are using LETHAL force — hence why Ukrainian leader Poroshenko has succumbed to a cease fire. Yes, Russia realizes there are consequences to its actions – which is why Putin continues to advance, as no one is stopping him.

So my assessment from President Obama’s NATO press conference is just more bovine excrement that upon review makes no sense. I’m listening to the question and answer portion and it’s just painful to listen to Obama without a teleprompter or prepared words. Oh wait, there’s another couple piles.

5. He said we’re going to degrade and defeat, or is it destroy ISIS just like, he claims, we did al-Qaida — who by the way is establishing itself in the Indian subcontinent. Our enemies are laughing at us as long as we keep putting this charlatan on a stage.

6. Oh – and Obama just came up with another new word — we must dismantle them. So which one is it Mr. President — destroy, defeat, disrupt, or dismantle? However, we won’t be placing U.S. forces on the ground — he keeps telling our enemy what he is not willing to do.

Folks, Obama has no clue – or he’s following his grand plan. Either way, it ain’t good.

Obama urges Americans to ‘be prepared’ … but wait till you hear what for

This is from Liberty UnYieding.

You cannot make up this special kind of crazy.

“President Obama admits to not having a strategy to deal with the terrorist crisis in Syria,” writes Paul Bedard of the Washington Examiner, “but that doesn’t mean [he thinks] Americans are off the hook for preparing their own disaster strategy.” Sounds sort of encouraging, no?

At first blush, it seems as if the commander-in-chief is at least proactively encouraging his constituents to brace for the possibility of a terrorist attack, by being on the alert, for example, for packages or bags deliberately left behind on buses, trains, or subways. Never mind that he told us in 2013 that the “tide of war” was “receding” and that al Qaeda and its spawn had been “decimated.” Credit where credit is due. And it appears that Obama deserves credit for proclaiming September “National Preparedness Month.”

Not so fast. His official proclamation, which is here, turns out to be just another lame excuse to preach about the real killer crisis that threatens the very fiber of our being: climate change.

Oh, don’t get Obama wrong. He’s aware of terrorism and even includes it in his list of things that go bump in the night. Of course it comes last — after hurricanes, wildfires, and cyber attacks — and even then it gets short shrift, with most of the text devoted to his Climate Action Plan. From the document:

Our Nation also faces longer wildfire seasons, more severe droughts, heavier rainfall, and more frequent flooding in a changing climate. That is why, as part of my Climate Action Plan, we are committed to building smarter, more resilient infrastructure that can withstand more frequent and more devastating natural disasters and to supporting our communities as they prepare for these impacts.

Bedard mentions that Obama also announced an “America’s PrepareAthon!” drill for September 30 for Americans to show they are ready for the worst. One wonders whether he wants to hear from those have suffered mightily but survived under his tenure as president.

Obama fails History 101

This is from Town Hall.

Obama will be remembered  as being on the wrong side of history

like Neville ChamberlainVidkun Quisling,  Julius and Ethel Rosenburg.

President Obama doesn’t know much about history.

In his therapeutic 2009 Cairo speech, Obama outlined all sorts of Islamic intellectual and technological pedigrees, several of which were undeserved. He exaggerated Muslim contributions to printing and medicine, for example, and was flat-out wrong about the catalysts for the European Renaissance and Enlightenment.

He also believes history follows some predetermined course, as if things always get better on their own. Obama often praises those he pronounces to be on the “right side of history.” He also chastises others for being on the “wrong side of history” — as if evil is vanished and the good thrives on autopilot.

When in 2009 millions of Iranians took to the streets to protest the thuggish theocracy, they wanted immediate U.S. support. Instead, Obama belatedly offered them banalities suggesting that in the end, they would end up “on the right side of history.” Iranian reformers may indeed end up there, but it will not be because of some righteous inanimate force of history, or the prognostications of Barack Obama.

Obama often parrots Martin Luther King Jr.’s phrase about the arc of the moral universe bending toward justice. But King used that metaphor as an incentive to act, not as reassurance that matters will follow an inevitably positive course.

Another of Obama’s historical refrains is his frequent sermon about behavior that doesn’t belong in the 21st century. At various times he has lectured that the barbarous aggression of Vladimir Putin or ISIS has no place in our century and will “ultimately fail” — as if we are all now sophisticates of an age that has at last transcended retrograde brutality and savagery.

In Obama’s hazy sense of the end of history, things always must get better in the manner that updated models of iPhones and iPads are glitzier than the last. In fact, history is morally cyclical. Even technological progress is ethically neutral. It is a way either to bring more good things to more people or to facilitate evil all that much more quickly and effectively.

In the viciously modern 20th century — when more lives may have been lost to war than in all prior centuries combined — some 6 million Jews were put to death through high technology in a way well beyond the savagery of Attila the Hun or Tamerlane. Beheading in the Islamic world is as common in the 21st century as it was in the eighth century — and as it will probably be in the 22nd. The carnage of the Somme and Dresden trumped anything that the Greeks, Romans, Franks, Turks or Venetians could have imagined.

What explains Obama’s confusion?

A lack of knowledge of basic history explains a lot. Obama or his speechwriters have often seemed confused about the liberation of Auschwitz, “Polish death camps” the political history of Texas, or the linguistic relationship between Austria and Germany. Obama reassured us during the Bowe Bergdahl affair that George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt all similarly got American prisoners back when their wars ended — except that none of them were in office when the Revolutionary War, Civil War or World War II officially ended.

Contrary to Obama’s assertion, President Rutherford B. Hayes never dismissed the potential of the telephone. Obama once praised the city of Cordoba as part of a proud Islamic tradition of tolerance during the brutal Spanish Inquisition — forgetting that by the beginning of the Inquisition an almost exclusively Christian Cordoba had few Muslims left.

A Pollyannaish belief in historical predetermination seems to substitute for action. If Obama believes that evil should be absent in the 21st century, or that the arc of the moral universe must always bend toward justice, or that being on the wrong side of history has consequences, then he may think inanimate forces can take care of things as we need merely watch.

In truth, history is messier. Unfortunately, only force will stop seventh-century monsters like ISIS from killing thousands more innocents. Obama may think that reminding Putin that he is now in the 21st century will so embarrass the dictator that he will back off from Ukraine. But the brutish Putin may think that not being labeled a 21st-century civilized sophisticate is a compliment.

In 1935, French Foreign Minister Pierre Laval warned Josef Stalin that the Pope would admonish him to go easy on Catholics — as if such moral lectures worked in the supposedly civilized 20th century. Stalin quickly disabused Laval of that naiveté. “The Pope?” Stalin asked, “How many divisions has he got?”

There is little evidence that human nature has changed over the centuries, despite massive government efforts to make us think and act nicer. What drives Putin, Boko Haram or ISIS are the same age-old passions, fears and sense of honor that over the centuries also moved Genghis Khan, the Sudanese Mahdists and the Barbary pirates.

Obama’s naive belief in predetermined history — especially when his facts are often wrong — is a poor substitute for concrete moral action.

BREAKING: Kurds Send All-Female Soldiers to Fight ISIS… The Reason Why is Awesome

This is from Conservative Tribune.

Killed by a female is your ticket to Hell.

I hope many of the ISIS terrorist meet that fate at the hands of these women.

Islamic State jihadists have been terrorizing the people of Iraq, killing thousands and driving religious minorities to take refuge in treacherous mountain regions without supplies.

President Obama, the man largely responsible for the mess going on in the country, has authorized airstrikes in support of efforts being made by Kurdish ground forces to push ISIS terrorists back and reclaim the many cities and towns that have been taken over.

Syrian guerrilla forces have been experiencing success against ISIS, increasing security and improving the quality of life for those in the region, as thousands of volunteers have signed up to be soldiers doing battle on the front lines.

The Kurds have adopted a rather unique strategy for not only eliminating their targets, but also humiliating them along the way.

According to WZ, Kurds are deploying whole units comprised of female fighters to the front line, which has boosted their recruitment numbers, and given them a psychological edge over ISIS. One female fighter explained why the Kurds have decided to put women in the thick of the battle, and it’s sure to make radical Islamists go crazy.

“The jihadists don’t like fighting women, because if they’re killed by a female, they think they won’t go to heaven.”

Awesome. The Kurds have an understanding of what it will take to stop ISIS, and it isn’t peace talks or goodwill offerings. It’s bombs, bullets, and brute force.

Unfortunately, Obama, considered by most of the world to be a weakling, will likely avoid taking the necessary steps to end the ISIS threat to the West and the U.S., still holding on dearly to the belief that if you treat them like buddies, they’ll stop attacking you.

Hopefully, these women going to the front lines of battle will be successful in eliminating terrorists and helping Iraq and surrounding countries to be a bit safer in the future.
