New School Prayer Written by a Kid: Reflections on Shunning God

2 Comments

This is from Clash Daily.

This article makes you reflect on society and where it is headed.

This is an analysis of a new school prayer written by a 15 year old kid. It accurately explains modern US society and depicts how infected it is by liberalism. It also reflects that of Australian society, which is largely influenced by British and American. People can no longer pray freely without criticism or persecution in the US. This is the same in Australia. One only needs to read the (rightly) bygone secularist liberalist magazine, The Week, to understand the rampant secularism in Australian public schools. The secularism in Australia is just as bad as that in America, if not worse.

Any mention of Creationism instantly arouses the suspicion of hardline secularists in their attempt to get “rid” of God. Any silence by the issue of homosexual “marriage” is deemed to warrant hard questioning of one’s views about homosexual “marriage”, discrimination and homosexuality itself. Any criticism of the liberalist secular woman is deemed to warrant examination into the private views of the individual who dares make such as criticism. Universities are, of course, infiltrated by atheist groups who actively campaign for the elimination of all laws that ban euthanasia and abortion, arguing that such laws are based purely on religious reasons.

Political correctness and tolerance are the tenets of the Australian secular religion of human rights. The only wrong is to adhere to the dinosaur’s belief that there are absolute truths, absolute morality, and absolute virtue. Anyone who thinks this way is a bigot and thus is to be reserved the greatest scrutiny and scorn of the “reasonable”, “right-thinking” tolerant Australian public who does not force one’s beliefs onto another.

About 75% of Queenslanders are “cohabiting”, the politically correct word for “living in sin”. The word sin is not allowed in Australian public. Anyone who even thinks there is such a thing as sin is deemed to be “biased”. That people think this way shows that people want to reject God’s standards of morality, despite its logicality, and how arrogant people are to think that their standards can even be near the standards of God’s moral law.

Many Christians in Australia have bought into the idea of tolerance and political correctness. Some even think that it is good to be politically correct because it “stops racism and discrimination” they say.

Political correctness has nothing to do with stopping racism or any discrimination whatsoever. It is about tolerating what people do even when it is absolutely wrong and replacing God’s standards of morality with its own. Proponents of political correctness fear offending men (or women, for the sake of political correctness) but revel in offending God.

Pro-political correctness groups readily protect their beloved groups because those groups are more likely to buy into the scheme of tolerance either out of sympathy, naivete or self-interest: women, homosexuals, refugees, immigrants, Muslims, and people of any religion but Christianity and Judaism. Yet, when it comes to certain policies that hurt some of these particular groups, such as immigrants they are silent.

The real motive of political correctness is to create a morally relativistic one: morality that is “created” by the individual, an extremely anti-Christian idea. Many Christians, though, stay silent. It won’t be long until the word “God” and going to Church is illegal in Australia – because Australians, like the Americans at large, want to get rid of any vestige of God. God is made to be a “thing of the past”. Hence, the new school prayer written by the 15 –year-old US kid:

NEW School prayer:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That’s no offense; it’s a freedom scene..
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all..
In silence alone we must meditate,
God’s name is prohibited by the United States.
We’re allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks…
Guns are allowed, but Not the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the “unwed daddy”, our Senior King.
It’s “inappropriate” to teach right from wrong,
We’re taught that such “judgments” do not belong..
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles…
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It’s scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school’s a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
Liberal hate aims to derail Heston Stamp
Leave a comment
Hat Tip To Bullets First.
I knew it would not be long before some commie pinko scumbag
would crawl out of the slime in mommies basement.
Then start screaming about Charlton Heston being a racists gun nut.
Charlton Heston marched for civil rights unlike any member of the DemocRat party.
ten_commandments
It’s a small thing really.  A famed legendary actor getting a US Postal stamp.
Unless of course that famed actor actively fought for the 2nd Amendment.
Charlton Heston was initially scheduled to have his likeness adorn a US Postage Stamp on April 11th, 2014.  Yet after the intelligentsia of the left got wind of this they have been making all kinds of racket.  As such, the powers that be somewhere along the line forced the Postal Service to issue a statement refuting the stamp being a done deal.
Roy Betts, spokesmen for the USPS said:
The document (stating Heston’s stamp release) was not meant for publication, nor have final decisions been made. While the document contained recommendations from the 15 members of the Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee, its selections are not final until other steps are taken, including legal reviews and consumer input.
The BS meter on that one is going through the roof.  That’s not my opinion, it is a FACT that Betts is shoveling a heaping shovel of horse hockey as the United States Postal Services OWN WEBSITE stated the contrary.  It’s still up in case you are curious and can be found here: 2014 First Look: Charlton Heston Stamp.  That is from January 30th of this year. CharltonHeston-Forever-single-BGv1
Chuck Heston had a long and storied career, an Oscar Winner, he had three #1 movies which grossed over 2 BILLION dollars (adjusted for inflation), played some of the most iconic roles in Hollywood history and is deceased (a requirement to be put on a US Stamp).  All of which makes it only right that Charlton Heston would join John Wayne, Henry Fonda, James Stewart, Marilyn Monroe and Judy Garland in the “Legends of Hollywood” Stamp series.
Nevertheless, Betts said the Postal Service will take into account various feedback before a final decision is made about Heston’s and the other stamps, including tweets, opinions expressed in the news media and comments left at the USPS Facebook.
So, despite all his Hollywood accolades, the USPS is willing to cower and run from giving him a stamp because a bunch of teeny boppers who’d give Justin Bieber a stamp and liberal mouth breathers who are outraged that ANY actor would dare not be a liberal, let alone actively fight their socialistic agenda, are making a fuss?
I guess that’s not too surprising when you have the Obama administration calling the shots by way of his lacky appointments to the Board of Governors of the United States Postal Service.
But in truth, Chuck Heston has always been about promoting freedom even before it’s popular.  On top of being a radio operator and gunner on a B-25 Mitchell Bomber, he would fight for freedom in civilian life as well such as in 1963 when he marched with Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. on Washington.  That was back before it was fashionable for Hollywood types to be for it.
And almost 40 years later Heston was still fighting for freedom even though the liberal succubi of Hollywood would try to vilify him for doing so, much like the racists of the 1960′s.
For really, what good is it to champion the notion that all men are created equal, if you do not allow them to retain the tools to ensure they remain so.
And while Heston had some great lines from his movies:
Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape! (Planet of the Apes)
Soylent green is people…it’s PEOPLE (Soylent Green)
A policeman’s job is only easy in a police state. (Touch of Evil)
Go, proclaim liberty throughout all the land, and to all the inhabitants thereof. (Ten Commandments)
But to many, his longest and most powerful line was one he spoke of his own:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ju4Gla2odw
Though not as flashy, Heston also spoke a prophetic warning to us all when he said:
It is essential that gun owners unite in an active, growing force capable of flexing great muscle as the next millennium commences.
It’s as if he knew such a force would be needed for times like these.
Tennessee: 5 pillars of Islam replace 10 Commandments in public school, tolerance reigns supreme
1 Comment
This is from the Bradley County News.
Why is promoting Islam a good thing but promoting Christianity
is not a good thing?
What is happening to America and Tennessee?
What would Davy Crockett and Sgt. Alvin C.York think of their home
state of Tennessee turning her back on God?
This post is long due to many links.
Tennessee: 5 pillars of Islam replace 10 Commandments in public school, tolerance reigns supreme
Springfield High School didn’t miss an opportunity to display and essentially express their desire to show their tolerance for an ever growing diverse community at a recent open house for parents and returning public school children.
On display on the freshmen hall wall of the Robertson County TN school, the 5 Pillars of Islam were pasted “up and down” the hallway proclaiming the “rules” to be a good student of Islam, much in the way the 10 Commandments direct Christians.
Photo of one of many posters observed in hallway of Springfield High School in Robertson County, TN.
http://www.jewsnews.co.il/2013/08/08/tennessee-five-pillars-of-islam-in-public-school/
The 5 Pillars were youthfully drawn onto a white cardboard canvas complete with definition and meanings of the 5 pillars of Islam. Interestingly enough the 5 Pillars contained what is often considered the 6th Pillar called Jihad and was missing Zakat,Charity or the tithing pillar which most religions consider very important, more so than Jihad or Holy War.
I was informed of this display from a very concerned parent who sent me a picture of the “poster” displaying the 5 Pillars and said they were all over the place and was very concerned that one “religious” set of rules had been tolerated and posted on school walls and one was not.
The only problem, to date, is the 5 Pillars stayed and the 10 Commandments came down.
The Jihad reference is a very strong one as many believe it along with Zakat or charity is helping fund many of the terroristic attacks around the world against Christians and believers of Christ.
Simply put, Jihad is war against the non believers, the kafir, you and me, and promotes death as a certain end if you fail to convert to Islam. And our schools and leftist groups are not saying a word and allowing this to be promoted in our TN public schools.
It is evident that the only religion allowed to express their religion and political clout in public schools are the Muslims and the teachings of Islam.
This is indoctrination through prostelyzation to the Kafirs, our children.
If they can have this type of access to our children all or none should be able to do the same.
Allowing one religion to be promoted in our public schools and not any others shows a deliberate bias and deliberate attempt to make one religious concept acceptable over another.
A certain hypocrisy is displayed and begs for at least questions to be asked as to why this has been allowed in these “politically correct” times and what is their motivation?
It is extremely obvious that while one  side is attacking the foundations of Christ, it is allowing and ignoring “other” representation of religious display.
As seen in the references provided below there are mutliple attempts, successfully I may add, by the extreme left to squash the display of any Christian literature or  historical foundational documents from our rich national heritage. Religious display other than Christian seems to be acceptable in our public schools.
The cry for tolerance of all religions is quickly being discovered to be a push for preference while softening or eliminating the evangelical voice in our state and nation.
At what point does it become acceptable to condemn one religion and all it’s tenets for the promotion of another. Where is the outrage by Christians on this subject who have been silenced and their beliefs replaced with the 5 Pillars of Islam.
The driving force behind acceptance comes when the cry for tolerance becomes intolerance and vica versa. As one wise person has said before, “what is good for the goose, is good for the gander!”
How does this foundation of Islam get to be displayed and the foundation of the Christian faith, the 10 Commandments get attacked and ordered removed by numerous lawsuits forcing their removal.
I believe school leaders and teachers are joining the PC crowd so as not to offend, unless of course you are Christian.
Meanwhile, the 5 Pillars of Islam doesn’t even raise a bleep on the radar screen of  the ultra liberal groups like the ACLU and The Freedom From Religion Foundation crying for their removal, not a word.
These same groups, at the drop of a hat repeat the mantra that our school or public institutions must be free from religion and influence of the church. “We must separate Church and State”, yet remain silent when Islam or others push for the same.
Its obvious to me this movement is not about separating Church and State and freedom from religion, it’s about removing God from our schools and dismantling the Christian movement. This effort by the left is and always has been about that. It is now being revealed.
If the measuring stick was religious influence on our children the leftist and the mainstream media would have made a bee line toward removing the 5 Pillars of Islam from our public schools just as they have the 10 commandments. But it is not, and will not!
To me, the first pillar of Shahadah, there is no god but Allah and Muhammed was his messenger is the most powerful “religious” statement that is going unchallenged. To ignore the call for Jihad in the hallways of our TN public schools should not be tolerated in any civilized setting.
These terroristic expressions of faith and duty by Islam should be condemned by all, including the Robertson County school board, Springfield High School Principal, parents, churches, congregations and teachers inside the system.
Religious freedom, if you believe it, should be applied here in great force to any god or religion! Right?
Showing bias toward one religion and not another shows hypocrisy with a good heap of partiality for one “religion” over another severely weakens their argument that religion should not be in our school system. So, the logical solution and I’m playing the devils advocate, its all or nothing.
In case you have never seen or reviewed the pillars, here they are. This is what is being displayed in our public schools in TN as proven by many photos taken of their display and parents statements of kids inside this school system.
The 5 pillars of Islam:
1. The Shahadah
A statement of belief: I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and I further testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
2. Salah
Compulsory prayers that are performed five times a day.
3. Zakat
The practice of giving, based on accumulated wealth, and is obligatory for all Muslims who can afford it.
4. Saum
Fasting during the month of Ramadan.
5. Hajj
Make pilgrimage during the Islamic month of Dzul Hijjah in the city of Mecca once in a lifetime for those who are physically and financially able to perform it.
6. Jihad
Islamic campaign against nonbelievers:a campaign waged by Muslims in defense of the Islamic faith against people, organizations, or countries regarded as hostile to Islam
Wanna see the disparity and obvious  hypocrisy?
Please glance at these articles below then look at the “flip side” and see the counter offer by the left to drive the teachings of Islam mainstream in our public schools and the lefts silence and lack of resistance to this religious display.
A note worthy of mentioning is in my exhaustive research I found no item or lawsuit by the ACLU or FFRF demanding that the 5 Pillars of Islam be removed from any venue. I did find many supporting and even large corporations promoting their display.
The hypocrisy and one sided approach to “freedom from religion” is very intriguing.
The Ten Commandments, Moral Anarchy, and the Secular State
2 Comments
This is from Godfather Politics.
How many people know about the Ten Commandments today?
America has lost her moral compass.
We have turned our backs on God.
I promise you God will not be mocked much longer.
We will be judged like Sodom and Gomorrah.
Another Ten Commandments display has been removed from another school, and a nation is shocked when it reads stories about young people raping classmates and murdering school children and its government passing thousands of page of new laws and regulations that will trample on our basic liberties.
Should we be surprised that a fourth-grade student is told by his teacher to write the following?:
“I am willing to give up some of my constitutional rights in order to be safer or more secure.”
In 1946, juvenile-court judge E.J. Ruegemer confronted a defiant 16-year-old boy accused of stealing a car and causing an accident.
The judge asked the young man if he realized he had broken the Ten Commandments. He admitted that he never heard of the Ten Commandments. Shocked at the teenager’s ignorance, Judge Ruegemer took out a Bible, handed it to him and told him his sentence was to learn the Ten Commandments and obey them.
“I decided to give him a chance; he can’t follow laws he doesn’t know,” said Judge Ruegemer.
The incident prompted the judge to mount a campaign to place prints of the Ten Commandments in courthouses across the nation to serve for the guidance of defendants. He approached the Fraternal Order of Eagles for help in getting the message out. The service organization was inundated with orders from cities across the country.
“I thought that if the commandments could be placed in courtrooms, then judges could point them out to offenders,” he said.[1]
Consider the following from Cecil B. DeMille (1881–1959), American film director and Academy Award-winning film producer in both silent and sound films, who steps out on stage at the beginning of his 1956 film The Ten Commandments:
“Ladies and Gentlemen, young and old. This may seem an unusual procedure, speaking to you before the picture begins, but we have an unusual subject: the birth of freedom. The story of Moses.”
Those who watch The Ten Commandments on television don’t get to see DeMille make his speech.
DeMille considered the topic of freedom under God’s law to be the movie’s most important message. In his rare on-screen appearance, he explained his reason for re-making The Ten Commandments:
“The theme of this picture is whether men ought to be ruled by God’s laws or whether they are to be ruled by the whims of a dictator like Rameses. Are men the property of the State or are they free souls under God? This same battle continues throughout the world today.”
Leadership and the Second Amendment
Leave a comment
This is from Clash Daily.
We have evicted God from our schools.
No longer is right and wrong taught today.
We no longer have God-fearing leaders.
Decalogue_parchment_by_Jekuthiel_Sofer_1768
When I was a boy attending a country school in western Pennsylvania, every classroom had a copy of the Ten Commandments framed and hung on it’s wall. One of those commandments was: “Thou Shall Not Kill.” It unequivocally told us children that killing was wrong and that those who killed would be severely punished.
It reminded us that “Not Killing” was a societal behavior standard and we school children saw it in big print every day, all day. It was a constant reminder to us that killing was not only wrong, but a sin. That standard sunk in and all of the children in my school grew up knowing that killing was evil, and that American society would not tolerate it.
Because children in school today have few societal standards to help them know the difference between right and wrong, our civilization has lost its integrity. We have departed from and destroyed the roots of American civilization; and we have eroded the principles and standards of decent behavior.
We have also become hypocrites. President Obama’s children attend a school in Washington, DC that is protected by armed guards, but he refuses to support the idea that children attending public schools should be protected by armed guards. And he does not champion teaching school children basic foundational and fundamental standards of conduct such as the Ten Commandments.
The mentally and emotionally disturbed killers who have been slaughtering our school children of late are fundamentally troubled, unprincipled and rootless. Society has cut them off from our nation’s historic roots and moral teachings and rejects them when, as adults, they act like they have been cut off from those roots and teachings. Now is the time to re-establish and rebuild the walls of the nation’s historic, moral and cultural foundations, those laid by our Founding Fathers.
Can we prevent the killing and slaughtering of America’s school children? Certainly we can. Let us train and authorize all teachers who are willing to volunteer to qualify for concealed carry gun permits. Enough of them will voluntarily carry weapons that no armed intruder will be able to successfully break into a school and systematically execute little children and their teachers one by one as happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
The problem that bedevils our society is not gun violence; it is a lack of spiritual and ethical standards, an absence of proper leadership, and an absence of a climate of good, solid mental health nourished by thriving cultural roots. Love and empathy won’t keep children safe; armed teachers and security guards will.
In Michigan a few days before the Sandy Hook shooting incident, labor union thugs resorted to all sorts of foul language and violence, punched in the head and stomach a TV news reporter and threatened to kill him; then they threatened that if a right-to-work law were passed by the state legislature, there would be blood in the streets.
If we had real leadership in the White House and the US Congress, all of our elected officials of both political parties would have gone before the TV cameras and said that such demonstrations of hatred and violence would not be tolerated and that if there was blood in the streets, the police would arrest the union members involved, put them in jail and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
Instead, the President and Congress were intimidated into silence by the political power wielded by the unions. That silence sent the union thugs a clear message. “Do whatever you want to do. Beat people up, threaten them with death. You won’t be arrested or prosecuted and you can count on the federal government protecting your back.” Why should a mass murderer in Connecticut show restraint when both the President and the Congress refused to show any?
Guns used to protect the President or the police are considered good. Evidently guns used to protect little school children are considered bad. But guns are neither good nor bad; they are simply mechanical devices. Based on how they are used, they can kill people or they can keep people from being killed.
A foundational principle of our society used to be that there was no “culture of violence” and that the killing of children and school teachers was unacceptable, would not be tolerated and anyone who did it would be arrested, prosecuted and imprisoned. To remind us of this standard of acceptable conduct, on the walls of school classrooms was fixed a copy of the Ten Commandments.
First, the nation should return to the practice of hanging a copy of the Ten Commandments on school classroom walls and teachers should daily teach them to their students. Second, we should not hesitate to allow teachers who volunteer to be trained, to carry concealed weapons.
And three, such actions are meaningless absent strong Presidential leadership of the kind of Teddy Roosevelt and, without such leadership, there is no chance of success, no chance of returning our country to the virtuous national character it had when it was passed on to us by our Founding Fathers.
Leadership does not simply consist of tired, repetitive presidential lectures and slogans given to a bored citizenry. Real leaders lead by example. Like General George Washington they lead from up front, from where the bullets are whizzing and the mortar rounds are exploding. They shout, “Follow Me;” and a grateful citizenry responds with, “We Are On The Way.”
These three steps will not entirely solve our “culture of violence” problems; but they could help us begin the long, slow, painful process of returning law, order and safety to our schools and to rebuilding the nation’s morality.
25 Examples of What America Would Be Like if We Were All Christian Conservative Tea Partiers
Leave a comment
This is from Town Hall.
This is how America could and should be.
If every American was a Christian conservative Tea Partier…
1) …There would be fewer regulations, lower taxes, a business-friendly environment, and a much smaller government that would lead to considerably stronger economic growth and job creation. In fact, we’d probably have to dramatically increase the number of work permits we hand out to foreign workers, not because there are “jobs Americans won’t do” (which don’t actually exist), but because so many Americans would be employed that we’d have to bring in more people to do all of the available work.
2) …The richest Americans would have more money. Of course, so would the middle class and the poor. In fact, the only Americans who wouldn’t benefit economically would be the Americans who spend their lives relying on the government, instead of their own effort, to pay their bills.
3) …We’d have some form of a Balanced Budget Amendment to insure that we don’t have a deficit or a debt.
4) …We’d have a much flatter, simpler tax code that you could fill out on a single sheet of paper.
5) …Welfare and food stamps would still exist, but there wouldn’t be as much need for them, it would be considered shameful to take either, and you can be sure that people would have to work for every hand-out they receive.
6) …Social Security would be privatized and invested. That means the people who put nothing in would have nothing to take out, but the people who do pay in would have a lot more money to withdraw.
7) …We’d still put some research money into alternative energy, but we’d also work to build a lot more nuclear power plants and we’d encourage private industry to produce more clean coal and natural gas. Oil would also be much cheaper because we’d have already drilled ANWR, the keystone pipeline would be built, and we’d be opening up federal land to environmentally responsible drilling at every opportunity. This would lead to much lower energy bills for the average American.
8) …We’d have the same sort of “loser pays” legal system that’s practiced in much of the rest of the civilized world. That would dramatically reduce the number of lawsuits and the cost of legal insurance.
9) …There would be a lot less government workers and the ones we’d have would make less on average than the taxpayers paying their salary.
10) …Health care would be much cheaper and more efficient because you could buy insurance across state lines; we’d have tort reform, health care savings accounts, and tax credits for health care would go to individuals instead of companies, which means that you wouldn’t lose your insurance if you lose your job.
11) …The fence would be built, the border would be secure, anyone who overstayed his VISA would be tracked down and deported, and illegal aliens who did make it into the country would be forever barred from visiting here legally or becoming citizens.
12) …Legal immigration would be faster, cheaper, and much more efficient. We’d also be selecting new American immigrants based on merit instead of rewarding people for breaking our laws or allowing them to come here because their son or cousin already managed to become a citizen.
13) …English would be the national language.
14) …People would look at you like you’re an idiot, as they should today, if you suggest that the Constitution is a living document. You’d also see a lot more Constitutional amendments because the Supreme Court would stick to the law as written unless it was amended.
15) …The crime rate would be so low because of the lack of criminals and the prevalence of guns that in much of the country, people wouldn’t bother to lock their doors.
16) …The death penalty would be applied much more liberally for terrible crimes and it wouldn’t take 15 years of appeals to carry it out.
17) …All people would be welcome to practice their religious faith with no official state-run religion, just as the Founding Fathers intended. So, yes, you could have a manger in front of the town hall at Christmas and the Ten Commandments on a court house wall, and teachers in public school could teach from the Bible in class when it was appropriate.
18) …Not only would there be no gay marriage, we’d be taking steps to strengthen marriage — like getting rid of no-fault divorce and it would be acknowledged that a mother and a father would do a better job of raising kids than any other combination.
19) ….Children would be taught abstinence in school, having kids out of wedlock would be frowned upon, and abortion would be legal only in the case of rape, incest, or danger to the life of the mother.
20) …Kids would start out school with the Pledge of Allegiance and a daily prayer.
21) …We’d have school vouchers so that we could introduce competition into our school systems and allow all parents to send their kids to the same kind of schools that the rich do today. We’d also spend a lot more time teaching kids reading, writing, arithmetic, history, and economics and spend a lot less time worrying about their self-esteem.
22) …You wouldn’t have terrorists, communists, and people who hate America teaching at our universities.
23) …Racism would practically be non-existent, there would be no need for the NAACP, LA RAZA, or Affirmative Action and people would, “not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”
24) …We’d have safe water, safe food, clean air, and a clean environment, but we’d put an end to the years of legal challenges to new building projects and people having their land declared a “wetland” because the ground gets soggy for a few days a year.
25) …There would be no public unions. Private unions would, of course, still exist, but no one would be forced to join and employers, if they so desire, would be able to fire everyone in the union and get a new work force.
Freedom From Religion Foundation Little More Than a Hate Group
These are just a bunch of school yard bullies.
What happened to majority rule?
Why spend so much time and money on someone you don’t believe in?
In the tradition of such liberal organizations as the New Black Panther Party, the KKK and Occupy Wall Street, the Freedom From Religion Foundation makes its living and builds its reputation by publicly bullying a group that it blames for all the evils in society.
The FFRF, founded by atheists Anne Nicol Gaylor and her daughter, Annie Laurie Gaylor, in 1976, is the major organization whose name crops up whenever someone is “offended” by a public display of the Ten Commandments, a graduation prayer or a Christmas display.
They’ve gone after historical markers, courthouse displays and even veterans memorials. There’s no corner of America’s Judeo-Christian heritage that FFRF isn’t low enough to seek to obliterate.
One of their latest targets is a large stone monument with the Ten Commandments erected in 1957 outside Connellsville Junior High School in Pennsylvania. The monument was donated by the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
According to the FFRF, the monument somehow violates the First Amendment. The suit was filed on behalf of a child and parent who said the monument makes them feel excluded, according to the complaint. They also don’t want the monument moved to a nearby church because it would still be in view of the school.
The First Amendment states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Oddly enough, there’s nothing in there about school districts not being allowed to display a historic monument donated by local community faith groups just because someone doesn’t like the words on it.
But this is the state that liberal courts and hate groups like the FFRF have brought us to. The First Amendment was meant to protect religious speech, not excise it from public life.
What’s really been going on with the FFRF and the courts getting rid of public religion is the establishment of a state religion called secular humanism, atheism, communism or any of several other names, all of which promote the worship of the self.
The current fad is to pretend that atheism is not a religion, but it is. In the 1950s, humanist organization sought tax exemptions as religious organizations. Julian Huxley called it “religion without revelation.”
In fact the current dodge about atheism not being religion is designed so that Christians can’t do to atheism exactly what the atheists are doing to Christianity — kicking it out of the schools and public life.
The Only Recipe That Will Save and Restore America
I saw Monumental:In Search of America’s Greatest Treasure.
If you have not yet watched the video I would advise you to.
It helps debunk the Obama lie that America is not a Christian Nation.
From the Pilgrims through our Founding Father’s Christianity was the theme.
America is in one royal mess and everyone knows it.  It doesn’t matter which political party you adhere to, everyone agrees that we are in a world of hurt.
Actor Kirk Cameron looked at America today and wondered what went wrong.  He’s heard so many people saying that America wasn’t founded on Christian or biblical principles and that our forefathers had no intention of establishing a Christian nation.  So he set out to study the true history of the first American settlers, the Pilgrims, who sailed to America on the Mayflower.  He traveled to England to learn the real facts and what he found is amazing to say the least.
Cameron filmed his exploits, what he learned and just recently released it on DVD.  The epic expose is titled Monumental: In Search of America’s Greatest Treasure.  After watching the video, I believe this could be THE most important and influential film of our day.  Every single family in America must watch this video.  More importantly, every politician in America must see it also.
After tracing the history of the Pilgrims and seeing the successful way of life they established in America, Cameron asks Marshall Foster if they left us a recipe of how to build a free society with the same morals, values and liberties as the Puritans did.  Foster tells him that the recipe has been left and takes him to the National Monument to the Forefathers in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
This monument was concepted around 1820 and planned in the 1850s.  They started construction in 1859 and finished the monument in 1888.  It stands 150 feet tall and contains 180 tons of granite.  In fact, it is the largest granite monument in America and most Americans have never heard of it.
I watched the video a couple times and tried to paraphrase the description of it, but always fell short of conveying all that the monument teaches.  Therefore, I am including the dialog from the film.  While you may get the gist of the monument from the dialog, it will mean so much more when you see the many parts and faces of the monument as they are being described.
I hope and pray that if you find this transcript inspiring, that you realize that there is so much more to the video than just this short section and you make it a priority to obtain a copy for yourself.
Kirk Cameron: I wish – – I wish they had left us some kind of a training manual.  Some kind of a secret sauce recipe card that we could pick up and go, ‘Alright, here’s what it is.  Here’s what we do.  What do we do?  How do we get back to that.”
Marshall Foster: When the children of Israel were going into the Promised Land, they crossed the Jordan River and God stood it on end and they walked across.  And before the waters stopped parting, God told them to take 12 stones from the bottom of the river and put it up on the top of Mount Gilgal, and make a monument so that when you children ask, ‘What are these stones?” you’ll be able to tell them, “This is where God parted the sea.”  And that’s what the Pilgrims left us.  They left us a monument that not only gives tribute to what was accomplished here, but it gives us a specific strategy, a breakout of a blueprint of, if we would ever forget what made America great, what made us free, we could go back and follow that strategy.  And it’s right up on a hill a half mile from here (grave of William Bradford.)
Approaching the National Monument to the Forefathers
Kirk: This thing is huge.
Marshall: It’s 180 tons of solid granite.  It’s the largest granite monument in America.  And it’s hidden on a hilltop overlooking Plymouth, in a residential neighborhood.
Kirk: I’ve never heard of this.
Marshall: Hardly anybody in America known about it, and yet the people of America put this together over a 70-year period, paid for by the Congress, paid for by the state legislature in Massachusetts, as a strategy laid out, called the Matrix of Liberty, that was given to us by the forefathers, by the Pilgrims.  And they, those 130 years ago, when they built this, wanted to leave this behind for us so if we would ever forget how liberty is built, we would know what to do re regain it.
Kirk: This is how they did it.
Marshall: This is how they did it.  Now, if someone else wants to try another way, which is what’s happening today in America—we’re trying 1,000 ways to turn America around.  But this is the only way it was done.  This is it.  The only successful strategy of liberty that has ever been carried out in the history of mankind.  Well, let’s walk through it.  Let’s take this strategy apart.  What does this mean?  What are they trying to tell us here?
Kirk: So where do you start?
Marshall: Well, here name is Faith, it says so right there.  And she is pointing her finger to heaven.  Why?
Kirk: Where God is.
Marshall: Where God is because her faith is the God of the Bible.  In Jesus Christ.  They knew that the only faith that could bring true liberty was a faith in the one true God and his Bible.  And you see a Bible there, an open Bible, it’s a Geneva Bible.  The pages are opened up, which meant that they read it.  And as they read it, and as they had faith in God, He gave them wisdom.  That’s why you see the star on her forehead.  She’s given wisdom to know how to live in this world.  And all of the rest of these statues, each one weighing almost 20 tons, is tied to Faith because without faith it falls apart.  And that’s the beginning of it all.
Kirk: Where do we go from there?
Marshall: From here, you need to go to ‘character’ or ‘morality.’
Kirk: Because that’s the internal liberty.
Marshall: that is the internal liberty, which is the beginning of all freedom.  She is called morality.  Notice that she has no eyes.  That’s on purpose because she’s looking internal, internal character.  The transformation of the heart first, and then that brings external transformation.  And notice that she has the Ten Commandments in her left hand, and the Scroll of Revelation in the right.  What would that signify?
Kirk: The Bible.
Marshall: Exactly.  That if you want to have morality, there has to be a standard.  And more than that, there has to be an internal transformation.  This is speaking of the need to internalize, and allow god to change our hearts and our minds first.
Kirk: Because from—in England, you had top-down morality imposed on the people, ‘do this, do that.’  You’re moralizing people.  But you’re saying their morality started in the heart.
Marshall: In the heart.  If had to be changed here.
Kirk: Inside.
Marshall: Just because you said you were a member of a church, like the Church of England, didn’t make you a Christian.  And you see this over on the side.  The side statues give an explanation of what the meaning of this is for us.  That’s why we need the evangelist.  You see the evangelist here, writing down the Gospels.  And there’s a need for evangelists.  Why? Because we need to have the Gospel; the Gospel of—the great liberating Gospel of Christ that says he came to set us free first.
Kirk: So this is completely contrary to the way the rest of the world had done it up to this point.  The Pilgrims are saying that morality starts internally with the Gospel.  The evangelist has to preach the message that transforms the heart.  And then you want to do what’s right, rather than being forced to do what’s right from the king who tells you what good and bad is.  That’s it.  Okay, what’s next?
Marshall: What’s next is—and you see the development of it.  If you wanna have a free civilization, you need to have a civil authority, or civil law that will give a base for that freedom.  In other words, you’ve gotta have some degree or order in society.  And that order, as you see here, is built upon law.  The principles of God’s law, then, are related into the civil law.  And that’s what we see here in his left hand.  We also see his hand, his right hand, is extended in mercy.  Mercy toward those that he’s dealing justice with.  Why? Because this form of law has a degree of equity in it.  And you see this in the side statues where—
Kirk: Can we go see?
Marshall: Yeah, yeah.  Justice.  She’s holding the scales of justice.  With justice and equity.  Which means that when a crime is committed, it should be cared for in terms of its punishment, the same for the rich and for the poor and for everyone else.  There should be equality under the law.  On the other side, we notice that the form of law is different than the laws of so many nations that are built on tyrants, that are built on—the Aztecs wanted to cut your heart out, they’d just cut your heart out.  Here, mercy.  Mercy built upon the base that he offers us mercy and grace, along with law.  And in this form of law, there is that tremendous mercy.
Kirk: so you have to start with faith—faith in the true God.  That produces the internal morality of the heart.  You have a standard by which to judge what good and bad is.  and then you create a moral system of law to have a basis for a free and just society that can mete out justice when crimes are committed, but also extend mercy to people and show them grace.
Marshall: And they that gives you the freedom.  Once you have a society that’s built like this, now you have a civility in society.  Now you can educate your children.  Here, they could train ‘em.  And you see the lady here in the statue of education.  And she is opening the Word of God, or the book of knowledge, and she has got the wreath of victory she’s wearing, about a 25-year-old woman.  She is educating her children, and she is sitting in victory.  Why is she sitting in victory?  Because she has trained her children up in the way they should go, and prepared them so that the next generation that came after them would know of the strategy of how to carry on the truth, and carry on a free civilization.  Isn’t that amazing?
Kirk: And what’s on her side over here?
Marshall: Over here you see her training her child.  And she has a book in her one hand and then he has a scroll where he’s writing on the other.  And this is youth.  Trained in their youth.  It was the parent’s responsibility to educate.  And so this would be the mother training up a child in the way he should go.
Kirk: You know what I think is interesting is that they had just left England and left this top-down government system, so when they got here, their idea of education wasn’t send your kids off to a government school to educate them.  It was the parent’s responsibility to do this.  Particularly because their worldview was different than the government’s worldview, which would have been, ‘No, you’re nobody, you’re a slave.  You just lay down on you back and do whatever the king says,’  Which is sort of the attitude that we get in most governments today is that you just do whatever the government says.  Whereas they’re saying, ‘No, it’s our responsibility as parents to educate our kids and teach them faith and internal morality, and to understand the importance of fair, just, and merciful laws.’
Marshall: And it’s passed down from generation to generation.  And if you see on the other side, you’ll see how the grandfathers played a role.  For it’s not just the father—of course the father and the mother are the key educators.  But the key is the hoary heads.  Those are the older ones who also have a role.  Because you see the guy with the beard here, he’s the old guy.  And what do you see his left hand pointing to?
Kirk: There’s a book, and it look like we’ve got the Ten Commandments again.
Marshall: Ten Commandments and an open Bible, okay?  And so he, being older and wiser, he knows the Commandments, he knows the Word of God.  And then he is pointing to that.  And then on the other side, what do you see of him?
Kirk: That’s the world.
Marshall: The world, right.  So he is teaching the younger generation, both his daughter and his grandchildren, how the world works from a Biblical perspective.  And all of this lead to something, Kirk.  And that’s that you see the strategy building, from the internal to the external, to the law, to education, to pass it on to the next generation.  And what are they passing on?  They’re passing on liberty.  And this is the result of living out that strategy.  And his name—his name is Liberty.
Marshall: We call him Liberty Man.  The Liberty Hero.
Kirk: Look at this guy.  He’s a stud!
Marshall: Now this guy is not a guy you wanna mess with, right?  And he’s seated in liberty.
Kirk:  Okay, explain who this guy is, Liberty Man.
Marshall: Liberty Man—the liberty hero that he represents, is the fruit.  He is the result of obeying the matrix of liberty that you see on this monument.  And he is seated in liberty.  Now what I want you to be careful to notice these details.  Notice that he’s holding broken chains in his left hand.  Notice that he has—where the chains were, bound to his legs.  Notice that his now seated in liberty.  He’s got that good look on his face, like, ‘Listen, I’m free.  But I’m looking out, defending my liberty.  But I’m free.”  And notice the claw that is on his right shoulder.  That claw relates to a skin that goes around to the left here.  And you’ll see a lion’s head; and entire lion skin.  That ultimately represented the lion of the English tyrant back in those days.
Kirk: So he has slain the lion.
Marshall: He’s slain the lion, and that’s what it says here on the left.  ‘Tyranny is defeated.’ And you see Liberty Man standing over Tyranny with his foot on the chest of Tyranny.  He’s holding Tyranny down.  And again, the Pilgrims won this victory without violence of any kind, except living out God’s principles.
Kirk: One of the things that’s striking me is the fact that this is talking about our forefathers, the Pilgrims.  But this guy is not some wimpish little religious guy.  I mean, this guy is a study, right?  He’s strong.  He’s looking out.  He has just defeated a beast.  And he’s got a sword in his hand.  And he’s here to protect, right?  He’s here to protect his family and to defend the laws that they’ve made.  And ultimately to defend their values and their character, their faith.
Marshall: Exactly, exactly.  And it shows you that if you do it right, you can be strong as an individual.  You can defend liberty.  And, if need be, you can fight.  You don’t wanna fight, but if you have to you’re ready.  But the point is, because you’ve done it God’s way, there is a long-term blessing that goes with it.
Kirk: This is awesome!
Marshall: This is it.  This is it.  So Kirk, this is that recipe.  This is the strategy, that matrix that was what built America.  This is it.  And if we want to try something else, yeah, people can try other things.  Bit in the history of the world, the one strategy that has brought more liberty, more prosperity, and more joy than any other, is this strategy.  Why would you go anywhere else?
Vienna church says county sign rules violate free speech
Leave a comment
This is from The Washington Post.
Moronic laws from the land of Washington and Jefferson.
The Fairfax County Board Of Supervisors need supervised.
This is a classic example of government out of control.
Our Founding Fathers are spinning in their graves.
We the people need to step up and take charge.
We need to elect responsible people to govern us.
Tracy A. Woodward/THE WASHINGTON POST – The Church of the Good Shepherd in Vienna has filed a lawsuit against Fairfax County after being served with a notice saying its sign violated the county code because the messages were changed more than twice in a 24-hour period.
If the Church of the Good Shepherd wanted to post the Ten Commandments on its sign on Hunter Mill Road, it would take five days to broadcast them all.
That’s because Fairfax County has a commandment of its own: Thou shall not change electronic signs more than twice a day.
So, after the Vienna United Methodist church posted three messages one day last month — offering refuge from the heat, then promoting its Web site and finally listing the time of a group prayer meeting — a zoning inspector called it a sin and hit the church with a warning letter:
“It is noted that the screens changed more than twice in a twenty-four (24) hour period,” the letter stated. “This changeable copy LED sign is considered a prohibited sign.”
The county offered two choices: permanently limit the sign to two message changes per day or remove it altogether.
At a meeting at the end of July, about two months after the church installed the sign, the county and the congregation couldn’t agree on a compromise. So the church, believing that the First Amendment also applies to the word of God, sued last week in federal court in Alexandria, saying the two-message limit violates the church’s rights to free speech and the free exercise of religion. The suit says that the county’s ordinance violates a 2000 law, the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act, which prohibits zoning rules that place undue burdens on religious institutions.
“Under the county’s restrictive policy, the church must pick and choose which of its various functions can be displayed on its sign each day,” the suit says. “Such an impact is a substantial burden on the church’s religious exercise.”
County officials declined to comment, as is their policy when a lawsuit is pending. Several members of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors said they weren’t aware of the two-message limit and didn’t want to discuss it until they learned more.
“It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me,” Supervisor Pat S. Herrity (R-Springfield) said.
Neighbors, even those who said they don’t like the sign, said it seemed a waste of government time and resources to worry about the number of messages on a church sign.
“It’s a pretty small fish in the scheme of things,” Steve Hull said.
At the crux of the matter is a zoning ordinance that bans electronic signs that use flashing lights or moving text. But what qualifies as moving? The county defines it as changing a sign’s message more than twice in 24 hours.
“It’s just too restrictive,” Sherry Spinelli, a member of the church’s board of trustees, said this week. “It doesn’t make sense.”
She noted that the church got the proper county permit to erect the $37,000 sign but said it wasn’t aware of the message limit until the county’s letter arrived.
In addition to the lawsuit, a county spokeswoman said staff members also couldn’t discuss the ordinance, including its purpose, history or past cases in which it has been enforced.
The church’s attorney, Michael York, said the limit is applied arbitrarily. Electronic signs that display the time or weather information, for instance, are exempt. Although the county provided the church with examples of past cases in which it has enforced the rule, Spinelli said that in paying closer attention to electronic signs in recent weeks, she has seen several without time or weather information that don’t comply.
She and others in the church think their sign was singled out because someone complained to the county. They suspect it might have been the same person who phoned anonymously a few weeks after the sign’s installation and angrily asked when the church got “that Las Vegas sign.”
The sign isn’t exactly flashy. It stands a few feet off the ground at the edge of the church parking lot, facing the street. The electronic portion is about 2½ feet tall and 6 feet wide. Its green letters, on a black background, can at times be hard to read.
Spinelli noted that on the day the county’s investigator observed the sign, just after the June 29 derecho storm, one of the offending messages invited neighbors without power into the air-conditioned church.
On Monday, the sign’s message was, “8:30 am prayer, 9 a.m. Sunday school, 10 a.m. Worship.”
The next day, it reads, “Morning prayer, Wednesday at 6:30 am.”
The messages for which the church was cited were similarly staid.
“Welcome, come on in and beat the heat,” read the first.
“Visit us at goodshepherdva.com,” read the second.
And the third advertised a prayer group meeting: “Practicing the Presence, Thurs., July 5, 1 pm.”
The mere fact that the new sign is more noticeable than the old one — its lettering had to be changed manually — is enough to have caused a stir along wooded, winding Hunter Mill Road. The two-lane thoroughfare predates the Civil War and is officially designated a Virginia scenic byway. More than one civic group works to preserve it.
Members of the Hunters Valley Association and the Hunter Mill Defense League said the groups consider the church a good neighbor and have no plans to try to get the sign taken down, but they acknowledged they don’t especially like it either.
“It has a commercial look,” said Hull, of the defense league. The organization would have advocated a more understated sign had it been given a chance to weigh in, he said.
“Our main concern is that we don’t see a proliferation of these kinds of signs,” Bill Cramer, another member, said.
Both groups said the number of different messages displayed in a day was of no concern to them.
Church leaders never imagined the sign might cause problems and that wasn’t their intent, Spinelli said. Rather, it was the exact opposite.
“We want to be a good neighbor,” she said. “That’s what the messages are all about.”
She said the church has no desire to use flashing or scrolling text or to change the sign numerous times each day.
But there might be situations in which more than two messages make sense, she said. Say, for example, that the sign advertises a Boy Scouts meeting in the morning and the next day’s services in the afternoon.
What if a neighborhood child is kidnapped later in the day or a major storm comes in? If it abided by the rules, the church wouldn’t be able to post emergency information for the community.
“We just want the freedom to post the messages we see fit,” Spinelli said.
