L.A. Gangs’ Hashtag Bet: Kill 100 People in 100 Days

This is from The Daily Beast.

There is but one way to deal with these thugs hunt them down and kill them.

If you are flying your gang colors you should be shot down on the spot.

But that will never happen and these thugs will continue to murder at will.

After the death of a Rollin 100 gang member, Los Angeles gangs have issued a challenge to kill 100 people as fast as possible. One of the first victims appears to be a 4-year-old boy.
Under the hashtag #100Days100Nights, users on Instagram and Twitter are issuing a stark warning: Two Los Angeles gangs are betting which one can kill 100 people—in a gang, or innocent—within the next 100 days.

A law enforcement source confirmed the reports exclusively to The Daily Beast on Monday night.

The bet—which follows the death of “KP,” a member of the Rollin 100 gang—was allegedly made last week.

Gang members say it will remain “on” for 100 days straight—and innocent people driving between the streets of Western and Normandie in Los Angeles could be risking their lives over a game on Twitter.

Users on social media have tagged images and videos with the hashtag expressing support for the movement, brandishing guns and firing fighting words. Posts now appear chastising neighboring gangs for participating in bloodsport.

The shooting that kicked off a series of violent crimes throughout the weekend occurred on Thursday evening at about 9:50 p.m. on the 2000 block of West 99th Street. A woman and two boys, ages 4 and 11, were wounded after a suspect walked up to their car and opened fire. The shooter is still at large.

Police sources have confirmed that the posts online have been taken very seriously, leading to an increase in officer deployment and other adjustments.

For the family of KP, #100Days100Nights is despicable.

“It’s making him look like a bad person. It’s not like he started this and got killed behind it. He had no control over what’s going on with #100Days100Nights,” one of KP’s family members, who chose to remain anonymous to protect the family’s safety, tells The Daily Beast over the phone.

Contrary to what is being portrayed on the same social networks pushing for the hashtag gang war, KP was a full-time single father dedicated to showing his son a different lifestyle. After the birth of his child, his family says he had turned his life around. While he was still loosely affiliated with a gang, the family says he mostly kept to himself and did not participate in gang-related activities.

“He was always in his [son’s] life, from walking him to school in the morning to walking to pick him up from school,” says the family member.

KP kept his son in sports year-round so he wouldn’t follow in his same footsteps, and even coached his youth football team. His family has started a GoFundMe page to help pay for a proper burial.

As the 100 days loom, the neighborhood has taken several calls to action. A civil rights group has planned a community meeting to ask rival gangs to call an immediate ceasefire.

“With the shootings, I feel like all of that is unnecessary. I can’t say for them how they should feel about the situation—whether they should go about their revenge or not—I just feel like they shouldn’t go about it that way,” says KP’s family member.

In the past year, Los Angeles has seen a surge in crime after years of decline. Overall, the increase is about 14 percent higher than last year, the Los Angeles Police Department’s Charlie Beck told the police commission in March of this year.

This past weekend in South Los Angeles, the uptick in violent crime was evident, and likely tied to #100Daysand100Nights. The 77th District, which contains some of L.A.’s most dangerous neighborhoods, witnessed 11 people shot.

The first occurred around 4 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of 81st and Hoover streets. A suspect drove up to a man in his car and unloaded a round of bullets before fleeing. The victim, 47-year-old Anthony Alonzo Cudger, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still determining a motive, but sources close to the victim believe it had to do with an argument that took place at a gang member’s funeral just a little over a mile away.

Seven blocks away, less than an hour after the first shooting, another man in his 40s was shot in his car at the intersection of 75th and Figueroa streets. The victim was able to drive himself to the hospital, but his assailant managed to get away.

A little after 9 p.m., authorities found a man in his 20s shot in the stomach at Hyde Park Boulevard and Brynhurst Avenue, and rushed him to a hospital.

About 35 minutes later, a gunman shot three people who were walking down the street at 47th Street and Budlong Avenue, less than four miles from the last shooting. The victims, two men and one woman, were all taken to a hospital. One is in critical condition.

There was also another car-to-car shooting that occurred on Sunday shortly after midnight, according to City News Service. The victim, a man in his 20s, told police that someone shot at him and wounded him in his buttocks, possibly over road rage. He was taken to a hospital, and the shooter fled the scene, according to LAist.

Now, KP’s family is pleading for the end of violence.

“It’s just gonna put them in the same situation: You either are going to die behind this or go to jail behind this,” the family member says. “It’s not gonna make a difference, it’s just making it worse.”

This American Biker Fighting Terrorists In Iraq Is So Feared That ISIS Put A Bounty On His Head

This is from Western Journalism.

“I’m here for all of those who want to live a peaceful life that has been deprived to them by ISIS.”

He’s a Colorado native, a tough-as-nails biker formerly involved with a “one percenter” motorcycle club, according to a profile of the volunteer terror fighter that appeared in The Daily Beast. Now “Mickey” — not his real name but the way he is referred to in the article — is on the front lines assisting Kurdish forces, in the thick of battle, engaged in deadly combat against ISIS in war-ravaged Iraq.

Because Mickey is so fierce and so fearless as the bullets fly and the bombs explode, ISIS is reportedly offering a reward to anyone who can take him out of the fight. Not only is he a capable warrior; he also cuts an imposing figure on the battlefield — long blond hair, goatee, tattooed, permanent sunburn, often seen puffing on a cigar when he’s not taking aim at the enemy.

And how did Mickey — who has adopted the ominous war-fighting name “Necromancer” — come to be among the Kurdish Peshmerga fighting to drive Islamic State terrorists from their homeland? As The Daily Beast profile tells us, Mickey was once a member of the French Foreign Legion who hints at a criminal past in the United States. He’s a man on a mission who paid his own way to a war he saw as an epic struggle for justice.

Mickey said he found himself drawn to the current fight against ISIS by the injustice he saw occurring. “I’m here for the people, nobody else. I’m here for all of those who want to live a peaceful life that has been deprived to them by ISIS. I don’t care about politics or religion. That’s not what I’m here for,” he said.

Mickey, or Necromancer, is one of an unknown number of American volunteers who have given up their lives stateside and traveled thousands of miles to Iraq to join the Peshmerga. In a recent article on these “possibly scores” of Americans who have taken up arms against ISIS, The Guardian spoke with a man who called himself “Grim.” His explanation of why he chose this dangerous life seemed to capture the feelings of a number of the volunteer soldiers.

We are fighting a scourge,” said Grim, who did not want to disclose his real name. “We are fighting murderers and rapists: people who burn people in cages, people who behead people. This is not a civilised army. They are animals.”

This is from Breitbarts Big HollyWood.

This vapid twit needs to move to some third world Muslim sh*t hole.

Live as a woman under Islam’s rule, then if she is still alive come back and explain how misunderstood these thugs are.

I personally say Damn her as hundreds of our soldiers died to give her free speech and she disrespects them.

During an interview with The Daily Beast, actress Kristen Stewart indicated that terrorists at Guantanamo Bay are misunderstood and that joining the United States Armed Forces is the job of a simpleton.

Camp X-Ray is Stewart’s newest film that illustrates the life of a “simple” female soldier who receives orders as a prison guard to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Surrounded by jihadists, she bears witness to the apparent cruelty in which they live and befriends a suspected terrorist. She then questions her role in the U.S. military.

“All she want’s to think is ‘They did 9/11, they’re bad, f*ck that, I’m going to do my job and I’m going to do it well,’ But then she gets down there and just can’t accept it; she can’t conform to that,” she said.

Protagonist Amy Cole enlisted in the Army as an act of patriotism in the wake of 9/11. Stewart seemingly finds the standards of intelligence for joining the armed forces rather low.

“She’s simple, not very smart, and really socially inadequate—but a good person. So, if you can sign up, put a uniform on, and erase yourself, you don’t have to consider yourself anymore,” she said.

According to Stewart, judging the detainees at Guantanamo Bay is reportedly “f*cking evil” and “crazy,” because they are people, too.

It’s a ridiculous idea for you to think that you know anything for sure in life—other than to take care of your fellow people. Where the f*ck do you get off thinking otherwise? These two people couldn’t be from more different worlds and perspectives, and probably disagree fundamentally on most things, but there’s a through-line for all of us—and that’s what people forget, and that’s what makes people capable of doing terrible things to each other. What makes you different from any other person that walks the earth?

Camp X-Ray reminds people that “this thing” (GTMO) is still present because President Barack Obama didn’t close it down as he promised in 2009.

Stewart claimed she didn’t act in the film to make a political statement, but she conducted a thorough investigation into the detention center since it wasn’t relevant in the news, which she reportedly doesn’t watch.

I don’t want to talk about that sh*t at all. Trust me, I’m only asking for it. When it comes time to stand up and affect change, I’m not the type of person to shout from the rooftops. Just because you’re an actor and in the public eye, people think that’s how you must be. But there are other ways to do that. That’s not me.

When it comes to feminism, Stewart wants to silence her “overly-aggressive” peers who discredit other feminists by being too emotional. She apparently finds it embarrassing and wishes they would simply calm down.

“But that being said, it’s a really ridiculous thing to say you’re not a feminist,” she said.

In Kentucky, Elaine Chao Endures Racist Attacks From Liberals

This is from The Daily Beast.

It is not racist when the attacks are against those on the right or so goes the lefts theory.

The former Republican Secretary of Labor has had to deal with a number of bigoted comments from Democratic partisans in the last year. So why is racism treated differently when it comes from the left?
One can hardly turn on cable news without hearing someone say that Republicans are racists trying to roll back the clock on civil rights. Having a policy disagreement with President Obama, many of his partisan supporters argue, is nothing more than thinly veiled racism.

But Democrats who imagine racist slights and “dog whistles” at every turn would be wise to look at the vicious anti-Asian bigotry on display in Kentucky, which is being fomented by supporters of their so-called progressive party.

Elaine Chao, who came to America from Taiwan at the age of 8, is a successful businesswoman and a graduate of Harvard Business School. She has also served our country in numerous positions, most recently as Secretary of Labor during the George W. Bush administration. She also served for a time as director of the Peace Corps. Having worked with Elaine during my time in the White House, I can say you will not find a more principled, honest and decent individual.

Except that there’s one problem: Elaine Chao is married to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. And some Democrats are so desperate to hold on to power that they will resort to anything—including racist attacks—to demean and belittle their political enemies.

This past weekend, as Senator McConnell spoke to supporters at the Fancy Farm event in Kentucky, he sought to confront the “War on Women” rhetoric of his Democratic opponent, Alison Lundergan Grimes, by noting his wife’s accomplishments. “And the biggest asset I have by far is the only Kentucky woman who served in a president’s cabinet, my wife, Elaine Chao,” he said toapplause from the crowd.

It didn’t take long for Kathy Groob, the founder of the pro-Democrat PAC Elect Women, to start mocking Chao’s heritage on Twitter. “She’s not from KYShe is Asian and [President George W.] Bush openly touted that,” Groob said. In other tweets, Groob referred to Chao as McConnell’s “Chinese wife,” and said McConnell iswedded to free trade in China.

She later deleted her offensive tweets and deactivated her Twitter account. National and Kentucky Democrats, to their credit, quickly denounced her remarks.

“Racist attacks against Justice Clarence Thomas, former Maryland Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele or South Carolina Senator Tim Scott are yawned at and rarely mentioned in the mainstream media.”

Still, the incident left me scratching my head. A prominent Democrat attacks a spouse of a Republican candidate based on the color of her skin, but the reaction from the national media has been largely muted. One can only imagine the reaction had a GOP operative made the exact same slur against the spouse of a Democratic candidate. There would be wall-to-wall coverage on MSNBC, disapproving editorials from The New York Times, and warnings from the DNC that Republicans are looking to bring us back to the days of internment camps and Jim Crow. Talking Points Memo, a liberal website that delights in highlighting the ramblings of obscure GOP statehouse backbenchers, would use a story like that to insinuate that conservatives are, by and large, racist.

And this isn’t even the first time Democrats in Kentucky have attacked Chao’s ethnicity. Last year, a Democratic super PAC called Progress Kentucky tweeted that McConnell’s marriage to Chao “may explain why your job moved to #China.

MSNBC and other liberal media outlets sympathetic to Obama persistently argue that Republican antipathy toward the president is rooted in racism. Again and again, progressives are happy to argue that opposition to Obama stems from him being black, not his wrongheaded policies. But when Democrats deploy racist attacks, progressives and their allies in the media have a habit of going quiet.

There is a vicious double standard at play here. Racist attacks against Justice Clarence Thomas, former Maryland Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele or South Carolina Senator Tim Scott are yawned at and rarely mentioned in the mainstream media. If one is a person of color and a conservative, one must then be an Uncle Tom, a sellout to his or her race. My email inbox bears testament to this fact nearly every week.

However, if a Republican says something bigoted, the individual must be shamed, fired, and run out of town for their intolerant racism. And that’s fine—racism is racism, and should always be deplored. But it’s silly to hold Democrats to a different standard because their ideology is supposedly more enlightened.

America’s greatest strength is our diversity of culture. Racism is not to be tolerated in our society under any circumstances. That needs to be the rule, the universal standard, regardless of whether the offender is a Republican or a Democrat. Enough is enough.

The Left Alleges “Unregulated Abuses” Among Homeschoolers

This is from Politi Chicks.

When was the last news story about a homeschooling

female student being raped by a male teacher?

When was the last news story about a homeschooling

male student seduced and raped by a female teacher?

As far as I know there has never been such headlines.

As the Common Core curriculum is rolled out around the country, parents are just beginning to get a taste of what is in store for them and their children in the coming years, and many parents aren’t happy about what they see.  Add this to the reality of our already failing school systems and many parents are being forced to look at other options for their children’s education.  One option that is
standing out for many parents is the option of homeschooling.

Homeschooling, once considered to only be the choice of religious families, has suddenly become the choice of many non-religious families who are fed up with the schools in our country. As this happens, and homeschooling grows at a rapidly increasing rate, progressives around the country are starting to look for ways to discredit this type of education.  Why would the liberal progressives care whether or not a family chooses to homeschool?  Because if families choose home education over state run education, the liberal progressives can’t indoctrinate our children with their liberal propaganda, and God forbid that our country might actually have a few free-thinking individuals left to mess up the future of their socialist utopia.

The liberal progressives suddenly have to come up with a way to stop, or at least slow down, the growth of the homeschooling movement and find a way to control the families that do choose to homeschool.  The best way to slow down the growth of homeschooling and inflict as much damage as possible is to discredit the movement as a whole and what better way to do this than to use the liberal media.  In a recent article published on the Daily Beast, called “The Sinister Side of Homeschooling“, the author equates homeschooling with abusive homes and families, stating that:

Some families [who homeschool] are simply trying to hide abuse and keep kids wholly under their control.

In the article, the author relays several stories about homeschooling children who have been abused, sometimes even killed, by the families who were homeschooling them. One story the author tells is about Erica Lynn Parsons, a girl from North Carolina who was being homeschooled by her adoptive parents.  Her adoptive brother reported her missing in August of this year and it was then found out that Erica hadn’t been seen since 2011.  The girl’s birth mother is now calling for greater regulation and oversight of homeschooling and pushing for a bill called “Erica’s Law”.

There is no doubt that the stories the author relays are heartbreaking, but these stories, and stories like them, aren’t the real reason for this particular Daily Beast piece.  Before we get to the real reason why the article was written, let’s first look at the supposed reason–which was to expose the sinister, abusive side of homeschooling.  According to the author’s statistics, there are approximately 1,500,000 homeschoolers currently homeschooling in the United States, and in the past 13 years there have been approximately 70 reported cases of abuse coming from homeschooling families.  (*I have seen numbers as high as 2.1 million but we will use her numbers for continuities sake)

When you divide 70 by 13, we come up with a total of 5.3 abuse cases per year or approximately .00000353% of the total number of homeschoolers.  Now let’s compare the homeschool abuse statistics to child abuse statistics as a whole:

·  In 2011, there were 676,569 children abused in the United States or approximately .0091% of the total population of children under 18.

·  493,219 of the children abused were either school age or preschool age.

·  Children in the general population were 2,578 times more likely to be the victims of abuse than children in the homeschooling population alone.

Some might argue that the reason the number of abuse cases are so low within the homeschooling movement is simply because the children are “hidden” or as the author of the article said, “It’s easy for the world to forget that they exist”.  While this might be true in some cases, as a homeschooling mom who just started her third year of homeschooling, I can tell you that for most homeschooling families nothing could be further from the truth.  My children, and most homeschooling children I know, are well integrated into society.  These children attend any number of activities including homeschool co-ops, sports activities (including public school sports activities), church functions, dance classes, art classes, music classes, doctor’s visits, etc. It would be more than a little difficult to “hide” abuse when most homeschooling children are seen by numerous “outside” people daily, don’t you think?

So let’s get back to the real reason why this article was written:  to discredit the homeschooling movement as a whole—because if liberals can’t force homeschooling children to attend their liberal progressive schools, they will do everything in their power to control the families that choose to homeschool, and the best way to do that is through stricter regulation and oversight.

Throughout this article the author repeatedly calls for “greater regulation” of homeschooling.  She wants to make sure that all states make it harder for families to homeschool and she wants government to have a greater say in what we are allowed to teach our children.  These progressives are trying to force every child to fit their liberal mold so that the future of our country will be shaped by the next generation of young socialists (or communists).

As conservatives we must fight back against the lies that are being perpetrated against the families that are trying to break out of the public school mold and protect their children from the liberal progressive agenda. The best way to fight back is to point out the fallacies that are continually being told by the liberal propaganda machine, or in other words, the mainstream media.
