Vladimir Putin’s Russia Adopts Concealed Carry

This is from Town Hall Finance.

Russia embraces freedom and America is running away from freedom.

Here is the exact quote mentioned in the article.

You can Get a lot farther with a kind word and a gun than just a kind word.” Al Capone

It’s beginning to border on the surreal. We’ve talked to great lengths about the inversion of international influence between the US and Russia. Under President Obama we have seen America’s command of world events sink to an unrecognizable (and quite embarrassing) level, while the Bond villain in the Kremlin has taken control of international conversations. And then, there’s this from the IBTimes:

Russia, which according to official figures has the fifth highest murder rate in the world, has relaxed its gun ownership laws.

Yep. The land of Vladimir Putin, run by an oligarchical collection of cronies and criminals, is about to relax their gun laws… And not by just a little. After the reforms, they’ll make some US jurisdictions look positively Soviet. While places like New York and Washington DC continue to make it (almost) impossible to get a permit for carrying a handgun, Putin’s Russia is about to make it easier.

Previously, Russians were only permitted to own firearms (subject to approval) for hunting or sporting. But under the new law they will soon be allowed to carry guns, open or concealed, for the purposes of self-defense. (Yeah… A background check and training will be a prerequisite.)

And let’s face it, having a gun for self-defense is probably not the worst idea in Russia. While America saw its share of homicides in 2011 (roughly 13,600), Putin’s homeland saw far more… Despite having a population that is almost half of the US, Russia recorded over 21,000 homicides in the same year. (Wow… So much for believing that gun control works, right Chicago?) The new laws aim to curb that trend, and add to Russia’s homeland defense against outside threats.

Of course, IBTimes was quick to point out that 80 percent of American homicides are “gun related.” (As if it was the gun’s fault that someone decided to kill a rival gang member.) So, let me give this some perspective: 80 percent of America’s homicides are “gun related”… And yet we still manage to have almost a third fewer murders than a big-government (generally anti-gun) nation on the other side of the world. Russia is hoping to curb some of their violence by liberalizing the restrictions on firearm ownership, and concealed carry. And our Mike Bloomberg clones stateside are doing just the opposite.

In short: Russia will soon be a little less like Chicago, and a little more like Texas. (Ha… Can you imagine Putin in a cowboy hat?) Vlad even endorsed the idea, by channeling a 20th century Chicago gangster:

“You can get a lot more done with politeness and a weapon than with politeness alone.”

Russians will, no doubt, embrace their new freedom with grace and responsibility. After all, at one time Russia was one of the most heavily armed societies on earth. It wasn’t until the Communists got into power that the people in the Soviet empire saw their right to self-defense begin to deteriorate. With the world becoming an increasingly dangerous place, Putin rightly understands that an armed populace will deter foreign invaders, and reduce the threat of domestic criminality.

So, while a former KGB officer (who bemoaned the fall of the Soviet Union) is embracing the freedom that comes along with civilian firearm ownership, we here in the US have a bunch of “progressives” who would like to restrict American’s God-given right to self-defense.

Like I said… It’s beginning to border on the surreal. Next thing you know, we’ll hear that Socialist Canada is more economically free than the good old US of A. (Oh, wait… It is.)

Obama fails History 101

This is from Town Hall.

Obama will be remembered  as being on the wrong side of history

like Neville ChamberlainVidkun Quisling,  Julius and Ethel Rosenburg.

President Obama doesn’t know much about history.

In his therapeutic 2009 Cairo speech, Obama outlined all sorts of Islamic intellectual and technological pedigrees, several of which were undeserved. He exaggerated Muslim contributions to printing and medicine, for example, and was flat-out wrong about the catalysts for the European Renaissance and Enlightenment.

He also believes history follows some predetermined course, as if things always get better on their own. Obama often praises those he pronounces to be on the “right side of history.” He also chastises others for being on the “wrong side of history” — as if evil is vanished and the good thrives on autopilot.

When in 2009 millions of Iranians took to the streets to protest the thuggish theocracy, they wanted immediate U.S. support. Instead, Obama belatedly offered them banalities suggesting that in the end, they would end up “on the right side of history.” Iranian reformers may indeed end up there, but it will not be because of some righteous inanimate force of history, or the prognostications of Barack Obama.

Obama often parrots Martin Luther King Jr.’s phrase about the arc of the moral universe bending toward justice. But King used that metaphor as an incentive to act, not as reassurance that matters will follow an inevitably positive course.

Another of Obama’s historical refrains is his frequent sermon about behavior that doesn’t belong in the 21st century. At various times he has lectured that the barbarous aggression of Vladimir Putin or ISIS has no place in our century and will “ultimately fail” — as if we are all now sophisticates of an age that has at last transcended retrograde brutality and savagery.

In Obama’s hazy sense of the end of history, things always must get better in the manner that updated models of iPhones and iPads are glitzier than the last. In fact, history is morally cyclical. Even technological progress is ethically neutral. It is a way either to bring more good things to more people or to facilitate evil all that much more quickly and effectively.

In the viciously modern 20th century — when more lives may have been lost to war than in all prior centuries combined — some 6 million Jews were put to death through high technology in a way well beyond the savagery of Attila the Hun or Tamerlane. Beheading in the Islamic world is as common in the 21st century as it was in the eighth century — and as it will probably be in the 22nd. The carnage of the Somme and Dresden trumped anything that the Greeks, Romans, Franks, Turks or Venetians could have imagined.

What explains Obama’s confusion?

A lack of knowledge of basic history explains a lot. Obama or his speechwriters have often seemed confused about the liberation of Auschwitz, “Polish death camps” the political history of Texas, or the linguistic relationship between Austria and Germany. Obama reassured us during the Bowe Bergdahl affair that George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt all similarly got American prisoners back when their wars ended — except that none of them were in office when the Revolutionary War, Civil War or World War II officially ended.

Contrary to Obama’s assertion, President Rutherford B. Hayes never dismissed the potential of the telephone. Obama once praised the city of Cordoba as part of a proud Islamic tradition of tolerance during the brutal Spanish Inquisition — forgetting that by the beginning of the Inquisition an almost exclusively Christian Cordoba had few Muslims left.

A Pollyannaish belief in historical predetermination seems to substitute for action. If Obama believes that evil should be absent in the 21st century, or that the arc of the moral universe must always bend toward justice, or that being on the wrong side of history has consequences, then he may think inanimate forces can take care of things as we need merely watch.

In truth, history is messier. Unfortunately, only force will stop seventh-century monsters like ISIS from killing thousands more innocents. Obama may think that reminding Putin that he is now in the 21st century will so embarrass the dictator that he will back off from Ukraine. But the brutish Putin may think that not being labeled a 21st-century civilized sophisticate is a compliment.

In 1935, French Foreign Minister Pierre Laval warned Josef Stalin that the Pope would admonish him to go easy on Catholics — as if such moral lectures worked in the supposedly civilized 20th century. Stalin quickly disabused Laval of that naiveté. “The Pope?” Stalin asked, “How many divisions has he got?”

There is little evidence that human nature has changed over the centuries, despite massive government efforts to make us think and act nicer. What drives Putin, Boko Haram or ISIS are the same age-old passions, fears and sense of honor that over the centuries also moved Genghis Khan, the Sudanese Mahdists and the Barbary pirates.

Obama’s naive belief in predetermined history — especially when his facts are often wrong — is a poor substitute for concrete moral action.

298 souls on MH17 have paid the price for Obama’s “flexibility” [VIDEO]

This is from Allen B West.

Putin has been punking the flexible Obama since they first met.

How many more people will suffer and die because of Obama being so flexible?

Back in his first term, while taking part in a global nuclear security summit in South Korea — and believing the microphones were off –President Barack Hussein Obama was caught leaning over to then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to say “This is my last election. After my election I will have more flexibility.” Medvedev replied, “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.”

Sadly, hundreds of Ukrainians and 298 souls on MH17 have paid the price for the weakness and abject cowardice of Obama’s “flexibility.”

And here in America we quibble over a lawsuit against this charlatan.

The blood on Vladimir Putin’s hands was poured by Barack Obama who is indirectly responsible, accountable and no different than Neville Chamberlain’s weakness in the face of the 20th Century maniacal dictator Adolf Hitler.

So much for no drama Obama. He is purposefully creating drama globally.

Radical Islam is a Bigger Problem than Vladimir Putin

This is from Godfather Politics.

I can and will a what the author of this article can not say.

It is not just Radical Islam but the whole murdering cult of death known as Islam.

Americans have lots more to fear from Islam that  they do from Vladimir Putin.

The Russian and Ukrainian conflict is a mess, but it’s not our problem, at least not yet. When this conflict becomes a direct threat to the United States, then we need to act in a judicious manner. But now is not the time for a show of military force or empty threats.

We can’t be the world’s Mr. Fixit. We tried in Iraq, and what did we get for our efforts? Consider this from Judge Andrew Napolitano:

“When the United States invaded Iraq in 2003, initially to search for weapons of mass destruction that we now know the Bush administration knew did not exist there, and eventually for regime change, the U.S. succeeded in changing profoundly the Iraqi government. But in the process, we lost 4,500 American troops, suffered 45,000 substantial injuries, borrowed and spent and have not paid back more than $2 trillion, caused the deaths of 650,000 Iraqis, displaced 2.5 million Iraqis, and unleashed into Iraq our public enemy, al-Qaida. Al-Qaida was not in Iraq before we invaded. Today, it controls one-third of that now unstable country.”

In my opinion, as much as he might want to resurrect the old Soviet Union, Putin understands the limits of his power. He needs the West and its economic base to stay viable.

The internal politics of the Ukrainian situation are not neatly cut as many pundits on both sides of the political aisle claim. There are many ethnic Russians living in Ukraine. The way the coup took place was illegal, and Putin’s move on the country was also illegal. But to repeat, at this point it’s not our fight. Judge Napolitano writes:

“Nearly two centuries ago, President John Quincy Adams warned his successors against the foreign policies that would be manifest in the Bush/Obama years. ‘Americans should not go abroad to slay dragons that they do not understand in the name of spreading democracy.’”

Here’s what we do know. Muslims are in the business of world conquest, and they will use the most gruesome methods to achieve their goal, and they believe they will achieve their goal no matter what the cost to their enemies and themselves.

So-called moderate Muslims are afraid to speak out against their radical co-religionists. They know what these fanatics are capable of.

Two recent incidents come to mind. “The U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan confirmed Thursday that three American doctors — including a father and son — were killed by an Afghan security guard who opened fire at a Kabul hospital.” Doctors! Good-hearted people who came to help anybody and everybody were gunned down.

Then there’s the story of radical Islamists who kidnapped as many as 234 girls, dragging them from their school because they wanted to get an education. These Muslim militants want to create an Islamic state that would deny the most basic rights to people.

Then there’s the crazy logic of Islam:

“A leading Saudi Arabian ‘self-help’ writer has urged his 97,000+ Twitter followers to sexually molest working women in the nation’s grocery stores. . . . Sheikh Khalid Ebrahim Al Saqabi, a conservative cleric, endorsed Al Dawood’s calls and said a law proposed by the government against sexual harassment in newly mixed workplaces was ‘only meant to encourage consensual debauchery.’”

Tony “Better Late than Never” Blair made an astounding impolitic announcement.

“The threat of this radical Islam is not abating. It is growing. It is spreading across the world. . . . It is destabilising communities and even nations. It is undermining the possibility of peaceful coexistence in an era of globalisation. And in the face of this threat we seem curiously reluctant to acknowledge it and powerless to counter it effectively.”

“The Muslim population in Europe is now over 40m and growing. The Muslim Brotherhood and other organisations are increasingly active and they operate without much investigation or constraint. Recent controversy over schools in Birmingham (and similar allegations in France) show heightened levels of concern about Islamist penetration of our own societies.”

As much as we may not like what Putin is doing, he does not have 40 million Russians populating western cities and countries with the goal to displace the existing population and long established Christian institutions.

Franklin Graham: ‘Putin is right’ on gay issues, Obama’s stance ‘shameful’

This is from WBTV CBS 3 Charlotte,N.C.

I do not support Vladimir Putin I have little argument with the things Putin says about homosexuality.

I do not want homosexuals to be mistreated because of their lifestyle.

I do not want to have to be told we must accept homosexuality as normal.

The homosexual community can have a civil union, but not be married.

Two months after Russian President Vladimir Putin defended Russia’s anti-gay law by equating gays with pedophiles, evangelist Franklin Graham is praising Putin for his stance on homosexuality.

Putin made headlines ahead of the Sochi Winter Olympics saying Russia needs to “cleanse” itself of homosexuality if it wants to increase its birth rate.

A Russian law passed last year banning “propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations” among minors has caused an international outcry. The law has contributed to growing animosity toward gays in Russian society, with rights activists reporting a rise in harassment and abuse.

Putin said the law was aimed at banning propaganda of homosexuality and pedophilia, suggesting that gays are more likely to abuse children.

In the March 2014 issue of “Decision Magazine,” Graham said he wasn’t endorsing Putin, but stated that it was sad that “Russia’s standard [of morality] is higher than our own.”

“Even though Putin said that gays and lesbians would be allowed at the Olympics, the fact that he took a stand—simply to protect children—ignited a worldwide cultural firestorm,” Graham stated.

“Just a few generations ago, America held the high moral ground. How the times have changed!”

Graham called America’s response to the controversy around Putin’s comments “sadly predictable.”

“It’s obvious that President Obama and his administration are pushing the gay-lesbian agenda in America today and have sold themselves completely to that which is contrary to God’s teaching,” Graham commented in the article, which was posted online on February 28.

Graham says he’s never heard Putin quote the Bible, but says the Russian leader met with church leaders during his 2012 election campaign and vowed to protect persecuted Christians around the world.

“To be clear, I am not endorsing President Putin. To survive in the KGB and rise to power in Russia, you have to be tough,” Graham wrote. “His enemies say he is ruthless. To some, he is a modern version of a czar. His personal life has its own controversies.”

Graham says Putin is right on gay issues.

“Obviously, he may be wrong about many things, but he has taken a stand to protect his nation’s children from the damaging effects of any gay and lesbian agenda,” Graham said. “Our president and his attorney general have turned their backs on God and His standards, and many in the Congress are following the administration’s lead. This is shameful.”

According to Graham, the world used to look to America for moral leadership, “but those days are long gone.”

Putin accused the United States of double standards in its criticism of Russia, pointing to laws that remain on the books in some U.S. states classifying gay sex as a crime.

The U.S. Supreme Court, however, ruled in 2003 that such laws were unconstitutional.

Homosexuality was a crime in the entire former Soviet Union, which collapsed in 1991. It was decriminalized in Russia in 1993.

Putin Calls America “Godless”: Even a Liar Tells the Truth Occasionally

This is from Patriot UpDate.

How about that a Godless Communist head of the KGB calling America Godless.

Sadly Vladimir Putin is correct with his observations.

America is becoming Godless.

In the irony of ironies, Russian President Valadimir Putin has criticized western nations for straying from their Christian roots. Putin’s statement, made during his state of the nation address this past December, contends that America has become a “Godless” nation.  What Putin actually said was: “Many Euro-Atlantic countries have moved away from their roots, including Christian values.  Policies are being pursued that place on the same level a multi-child family and a same-sex partnership, a faith in God and a belief in Satan.  This is the path to degradation.”  This is quite a statement coming from a former KGB officer who faithfully served a nation that executed more than 200,000 clergy in the years between 1917 and 1937.

Responses to Putin’s statement have ranged from disbelief to outrage.  After all, Valadimir Putin giving advice on religion is like Pinocchio giving advice on telling the truth. But I would encourage my fellow Americans to forget who is sending the message and, instead, listen to the message.  After all, like the broken clock that is right twice a day, even a liar will tell the truth occasionally.  And in this case, Putin comes closer to telling the truth than any of the politically-correct, anything-goes, if-it-feels-good-do-it liberals in Washington, D.C.  When Putin claims that religious conservatism represents the only way to prevent the world from slipping into “chaotic darkness” he is echoing the messages of thousands of pastors in American churches every Sunday morning, pastors who are concerned about our country doing precisely what Putin said it is doing: slipping into “chaotic darkness.”

Putin is not alone in his belief that the West has strayed from its Christian roots.  Patriarch Kirill I of the Russian Orthodox Church has claimed that Western nations are guilty of “spiritual disarmament.”  Although it is a little easier to take such a statement when it comes from a religious patriarch than a former KGB officer, Kirill is simply saying the same thing as Putin.  Consequently, for those who want to ignore the message because it comes from an unworthy messenger—President Putin formerly of the “evil empire”—let me encourage you to respond to the following questions before making up your mind:

  • Have liberals conspired with leftwing academics to rewrite American history so that the Christian principals upon which the United States of America was founded have been expunged from the record and replaced by anti-Christian, anti-American tripe that focuses solely on our nation’s warts and blemishes?  Further, have liberal revisionists rewritten the textbooks so that American students spend 12 years learning why they should be embarrassed by and ashamed of our country?
  • Have liberals conspired to be tolerant of everything in America except Christianity?  Is it not true that in the public square Islam, Hinduism, moral relativism, and other religions get a pass while Christianity is to be neither mentioned nor tolerated?
  • Have liberals conspired to transform public education in America into 12 years of leftwing indoctrination that belittles and scorns Christians as Puritanical bigots while praising secular humanism?
  • Have liberals conspired to attack, undermine, and trash Christians who oppose same-sex marriage on Biblical grounds?  Do wedding businesses that do not wish to perform same-sex marriages on Biblical grounds immediately become targets of government coercion and threats from the homosexual community?
  • Have liberals conspired to ensure that the Lord’s Prayer and Bible readings are no longer a part of the public school experience as they once were in all 50 states?  Further, have liberals worked with the ACLU to deny Christians their Constitutional right to pray at high school athletic events and graduations?

Obviously, the answer to every one of these questions is a resounding “YES.”  Liberals have been successful in bringing about exactly what President Putin said has happened in the United States.  I don’t like the messenger, but I must admit the message is accurate.

Vladimir Putin Nominated For Nobel Peace Prize

This is from Business Insider.

There are many people saying the Nobel Peace Prize has become a joke with Putin being nominated for the prize.

It became a joke when Barack Milhous Capone Kardashian Celebrity of the United States was nominated for and received the Prize.

I call him Celebrity of the United States because he sure as Hell is not and never be President of the United States.

Russian President Vladimir Putin takes part in a news conference after an EU-Russia Summit in Brussels January 28, 2014. Putin said on Tuesday it would honor its obligations to lend Ukraine $15 billion and reduce its gas prices even if the opposition formed the next government.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, CBS News reports.

The nomination, which can be submitted by any one of thousands of people eligible to submit from around the world, is one pick among many others in a record year for submissions.

The submission is sure to be controversial, considering Russia’s ongoing military action inside Ukraine’s Crimea region, which has been called an “armed invasion.”

The Nobel Committee has received 278 nominations for the Peace Prize this year, making it the highest number of candidates ever, according to the official website. The committee narrowed the list down to just 25 on Tuesday, and will eventually whittle that number down to a dozen before May, CBS News reports.

Others in the running this year include fugitive ex-NSA contractor Edward Snowden, Pope Francis, and Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani teenager who recovered after being shot in the head by the Taliban to become an incredible advocate for women’s rights.

The Blue-Eyed Racism Of Vladimir Putin

This is from Clash Daily.

The following is satire.

It’s so unfortunate to see the leader of a prominent foreign nation such as Russia’s Vladimir Putin exhibit the same kind of hate and bigotry we’ve seen displayed over the last several years by members of that backward, bitterly racist “Tea Party” group here in the United States.

I wish we could just live in a world where a black president was accorded the respect and deference he is due, instead of having to endure such outright defiance from those who see nothing but the color of his skin, and who hold him in utter contempt because of it.
In refusing to immediately, respectfully heed president Barack Obama’s serious admonitions regarding the crisis situation in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin has shown himself to share the abject prejudice and vile discrimination with which so many Americans of the Republican party treat our historic president.  It’s really unsettling and sad to watch this take place.

The election of Barack Obama would have ended such widespread racism and aggression, here and throughout the entire globe, except for the fact that those who cannot for some reason find it in their hearts to desist from it do still exist, and they persist.
The fundamental transformation of the United States is incomplete, of course, and we must have unfathomable reserves of patience in this regard as president Obama and his administration continue to apply what supplies of melanin are available to do their magical work (in spite of all the racist opposition from those who call themselves “conservatives”).
Still, it is yet that much more frustrating when, across the oceans and seas, the blue-eyed devil Mr. Putin flouts the new paradigm and just goes ahead and acts as if Barack Obama was merely some sort of insignificant shoe-shine boy or something.Putin would never defy a white president like this! I, for one, prefer to live in a world where, when an American president is black, and happens to be as charming and gifted and cool as our current president is, other world leaders simply fall in line and obey him, as they should.  It’s not anything remotely close to being a just and sane world when there is such disgusting racialistic animus at play on the world stage.

Vladimir Putin must be brought before the World Court and charged with racial hate crimes toward our president.  The United Nations should convene a special, multinational committee to decide on what sort of emergency diversity training Mr. Putin should attend.

Ideally, Putin’s mandatory, enforced sensitivity training should be tailored for the responsibilities of the leader of a large country, with deliberate emphasis on the fact that his brand of bigotry toward president Obama seems especially audacious and atavistic due to the fact that Russia is still so predominantly white, and therefore obviously prone to overarching and pervasive racialism.
Please forward this article to all of your friends and associates–and while you’re at it, send it that much more so to anyone you know who stubbornly stands in the way of the progressive new era of post-racial harmony and acquiescence to the majestic decrees of Barack Obama.  It’s only fair that we all work to eradicate any and all remaining racist opposition to what he represents. Those who claim they don’t want to obey president Obama for whatever alleged reason other than just their bigoted race-hate should be called out and forced into re-education seminars, and Vladimir Putin has now become the most prominent poster-politician toward which we should devote our most public and energetic efforts.
